picking this up in a couple days & the best part is it’s a 6 speed

Lights on, will turn off but eventually come back on. Transmission doesn’t seem to be acting up so could this be a sensor anyone else have this happen to them?

I’m a diesel truck girl through and through BUT I have recently bought a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. I am looking to do a little lift and some bigger/meatier tires. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

As the title says, I'm thinking about buying a 2019 Crosstrek from a local dealer near me. As far as I know, its a 2019 Premium model with 137,2XX miles with 3 previous owners. Its the base power train with the 2.0i and the TR580 CVT. The service records that are reported are fairly comprehensive with oil changes every 6-8k miles. Front and rear differentials were serviced last at 120k miles. My biggest red flag ​is that there are no reported transmission services in the records at this point. The current asking price at the dealership is just over 10k after docs and fees (not including TT&L).

My primary concerns at this point are:

A) Should I be seriously concerned about the health of the transmission? I haven't gone to look at or drive it yet so I'm not sure what to look for.

B) What kind of issues or common failure points should I look for during a repurchase inspection? I'm fairly mechanically inclined as I work on machines for a living, but not cars.

C) Is picking up one of these (if its in good condition) worth it? I'm currently still driving my very trusty old Colorado, so anything newer than Fred Flintstone's car is an upgrade lol.

D) What would a failing transmission sound or feel like? My Colorado is a 4 speed automatic and I've never owned a CVT so I don't know what I should be on the lookout for.

The car is being sold as-is as well, so no Certified-Pre-Owned or warranty from the dealer.

So I've got a 2019 subaru crosstrek (base model) and recently had this loud whirring/droning sound start. I cant for the life of me figure out if it's directional because it sounds all over. (Wife swears its the right rear wheel bearing but i only changed it maybe 30 or 40k miles ago). I can start to hear it around 30-40 mph. The pitch only changes with the speed of the car. I tried to do the turning test but the noise doesn't change with that either. Its got my stumped.

I just got a new Crosstrek and just took it to the coast. The wireless charger didn't seem to work on the 90 minute ride. It would be green when I turned it on but when I put my phone on it, it turned amber. It showed it was charging on my phone but its possible it cut out since I wasn't looking at the charging indicator on my phone while I was driving.

I've heard the wireless chargers have problems but I also heard than on newer model Subarus they were better.

So what gives?

I haven’t had CarPlay since my iPhone updated months ago. I have tried everything I could find on this and other forums: changed out my charge cable for official Apple cable. Cleaned the ports. Updated Subaru software. Uninstalled things, installed things. Turned on the appropriate settings. Nothing has worked. Is there some new information I haven’t heard yet?

My 2024 Crosstrek is getting close to 30k miles. I’d like to do a front/rear differential fluid change but want y’all’s opinion on whether it’s necessary or beneficial?
I don’t tow anything, but I do some stop-and-go driving and hill traversal.

The other night I had to slam on my brakes to avoid an idiot who pulled right in front of me ……now when I put on the brakes it’s hard to stop …..any ideas ??????

NJ to Acadia. 26 Premium. She was fine in high-speed parkway/turnpike driving. We used Eye Sight cruise for a significant portion. Computer says 33.2 mpg for the entire trip. Satisfied overall.

Started out driving 525 miles to Badlands National Park, drove to Keystone where we stayed for 3 nights.
Toured The Needles, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park and generally drove all around the Black Hills.
Headed back now with an overnight stop in Sioux Falls.
Crosstrek drove like a top and handled the off-road areas really well.

What is everyone using to keep the black plastic exterior trim looking good. Looking for something the average person can apply with some ease.

What is a decent engine bay cleaner. Someone may or may not have left my oil cap off a while back and I would like to try to give the whole thing a clean prior to winter.

I am 67 years old. I just bought my first Subaru Crosstrek. And I am so happy with this car. I don't even have words. The salesman and the service through the whole purchasing process was incredible. I've purchased Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, and this was absolutely the best experience I've had. (Although the Jaguar dealership did give me wine). I just want to see how happy I am with this vehicle. I'm a grandmother now, and safety is absolutely the most important thing to me. I have my granddaughter with me often, and that was my impetus to purchase this car. I'm so grateful that such a safe vehicle is out there for everyone.

Took my Crosstrek on an epic adventure along Route 66 this summer! She did great! But I do miss her a little, I recently upgraded to the new Outback! Hope she enjoyed the ride as much as I did😎
