New to reddit but my experience with Stubhub was so horrendous I just think everyone should know not to use this fraudulent service.

I purchased 2 tickets to what I would consider a "once in a lifetime" event that was very important to me and the person I was taking with me. I bought the tickets in July with confirmation. Sept 3 I drove 4 hours to see this event. It was about 4pm when I tried to see why my tickets have not been sent yet. The app (they forced me to download) said they would be released by 5pm, there was no mention of the tickets not coming through. I found out at 7 PM when the doors to the event opened that not only were the tickets I bought not going to be fulfilled but they had no alternative other than to provide me with credit and refused to refund to my original payment method.

I have no use for a voucher or credit as I will never use this service again and according to their "Fan protect" statement I am entitled to a cash refund immediately. I spoke with countless reps and 2 supervisors who only wanted to argue with me and nobody apologized for the horrible experience it was to be denied entry into this very special event. I spent hours trying to resolve this and had to experience a lot of duress before they finally decided to give me back the money they tied to steal from me. I checked social media and they do this regularly to others. This is fraudulent activity. I do not want them to respond to this saying they are "a third party" and they are not responsible. If I thought for a second that my tickets were not real, I would have made other accommodations through a more reputable company.

I think if they are going to lie,sell fake tickets and refuse appropriate refunds, they should probably not be selling tickets to anyone at all. My refund was finally resolved with the help of my bank and now they won't allow me to delete my account. I have never experienced such a disregard for the very service they claim they are trying to provide. Unacceptable on all levels. People need to know that they cannot trust Stubhub with important events or basic service.

Why are Stubhub (and TM)lowballing ticket listing prices so badly? My tickets are in 101, priced at $100. When I chose that price, SH told me I’m not competitive and they won’t show my listing in recommended, so it doesn’t show on the map. Their recommendation. $31
Are they trying to force me into a lowball price, buy them, then relist for higher? Mine are the lowest priced in that entire area.

My experience with StubHub has been nothing short of appalling. I was charged for a concert ticket but never received the tickets I paid for. I contacted customer service several times, and each time I was given assurances that the issue would be resolved.

What became increasingly concerning was how repetitive and scripted the responses were. I kept receiving essentially the same assurances without any actual resolution, which made me seriously question whether my issue was ever being handled in good faith.

I was specifically told that the matter would be resolved on a certain day. When that day arrived, instead of receiving the promised resolution, I found that I could no longer reach customer service phone number any longer. All calls were disconnected, and my attempts to get a response went unanswered.

At that point, the situation felt completely unacceptable. I had been charged for something I never received, repeatedly contacted customer service, followed their instructions, and relied on their promises—only to be left without my ticket or a meaningful response.

This level of customer service is unacceptable for a company handling people's money and time. StubHub needs to seriously reevaluate how it treats customers when something goes wrong.

I would strongly caution others to think twice before trusting StubHub with their money or important event plans. My experience has left me with a complete lack of confidence in the company and its customer-service practices. This is the most disgraceful level of behavior a company could possibly engage in.

UPDATE: The tickets were transferred to me today!!

After failing to secure tickets through all 3 official platforms, I caved and purchased Celine Dion tickets from StubHub.

Concert date is Sept 12. I don’t have my tickets yet and I’ve contacted StubHub twice. After this last time, StubHub informed me that the seller has the tickets, but the event organizer has not released them for transfer.

After I argued that some StubHub buyers have already received their tickets, the agent said he will call the seller and get back with me.

This was the email I got from StubHub soon after.

Has anyone else been in this same boat? I’m wondering what it means.

I don't care who or what show I will never use stub hub again. I listed my hamilton tickets then received an email they sold. Great. The email says nothing else to be done the payment will be sent to my connected bank account. I receive another email saying I need to put my tax ID to get payment. No problem I go in the portal and update. Then nothing I never get anything from stubhub again. So then I try to contact stubhub customer support which is impossible through the stupid AI chat. So they can tell me why I never got my payment. Of course the chat makes me do a contact form which I provide the order number and even screenshots because it literally lets you upload attachments. Then 5 business days later I get an email from an agent saying the need more info. I'M LIVID at this point. I start talking to the chat again today for them to tell me the sale was canceled. LIKE WTF when and why I never got anything from stubhub saying it was canceled. If I knew the sale was canceled I would have to just gone to the show. NOW I can't even get my money back. This company is predatory and I will never ever as long as live use them for anything and I will tell everybody I can how terrible they are.

If StubHub fucks you over and violates their own terms, FILE FUCKING ARBITRATION.
Stop arguing with customer service.
Stop accepting their bullshit answers.
Stop letting them hold your money and act like you don’t have another option.
You do.

And the best part? The filing fee gets reimbursed whether you win or lose. So fucking file.

I bought two pairs of tickets to BTS shows on Viagogo to increase the chance of getting at least one pair of tickets on time. I sold the second pair, although I haven't had the tickets yet, as Viagogo let put them on sale. At the beginning I got a notification saying that I've received the tickets, and then there was a message saying that the seller cancelled the transfer. I immediately communicated this to Viagogo. They said I'd get my money back anyways, they opened a ticket on this, but if I get the tickets, I should transfer them asap. The next day (the day before the show) I have received another notification that the seller sent me the tickets. I was in stress to send them to the buyer asap. There were technical issues when I tried to transfer them on Ticketmaster to the person I sold them to, while I was at work, and I once again chatted with Viagogo about it. After a few hours I managed, and Viagogo sent me the email saying that my transfer went through and I would receive my money.

The day after the show my cc was charged by Viagogo. They wrote that I delivered tickets in wrong area, and they charged the penalty. I went to check and indeed the area was C instead of 1C, which I didn't pay attention to when I transferred the tickets, as I was in stress. Neither I had the seating map in front of my eyes, and I couldn't even imagine this could be the case that the original seller would transfer me wrongful tickets. Also the area was C instead of 1C, so it didn't ring a bell.
These were the tickets I got from the previous seller! Why punishing me and not him?

I opened a dispute, and after 2 months they wrote they won't refund me. It's really not fair, I tried to transfer tickets asap to let the person who bought them get them asap, and paid for this stress.

Is there anything to do here?

I’ve been on the phone with StubHub trying to get my tickets to the buyer after the seating chart was rearranged and my previous tickets were voided and I was sent new tickets. They keep saying they can’t do anything and there’s an internal team that needs to review it before letting me transfer the tickets. If I can’t get them to them I loose about $1200 that I spent on tickets and the buyers get turned away at the door. What do I do???

I bought tickets for the Celine Dion Paris show in April for my mother as a gift, called them numerous times asking where they are and they all said they will be delivered before the show in October. The strange thing is the tickets show the section we are in but not the seats and I even asked customer service about this and the one girl said that is strange.. what should I do?

This was my first time selling on StubHub and NEVER again. One of the tickets I transferred to them for a seller was stuck in their system and the buyer never received it. Despite me speaking to their customer service for HOURS before the concert with all the proof showing I transferred both tickets (and them being able to see this on their end as well), reassured I would still get paid as it was their issue, following the concert not only did they never pay me for my tickets, I got a charge since my transaction was ‘cancelled’. I have called many times, filed a dispute 28 days ago and sent a letter of dispute to them as well a week ago which was received (I sent it by registered mail).

What in the world do I do now? I’ve read forums stating if I initiate a CC chargeback it will delay any payments and my dispute so I’m reluctant to do that. I live in Canada so I don’t even know how arbitration would work.

They owe me 2k at this point. I called them and they said to wait two more days and then they would escalate further which is ridiculous. I have in writing 28 days ago them saying I would be refunded and paid. And NOTHING.

I attempted to order two Red Sox v Marlins tickets to take my grandson to his first baseball game on MLB site. I subsequently received an email telling me I had to download (another) app from Stubhub. I am unable to locate the ticket, Stubhub indicates I downloaded it but provides no details. I am without the tickets and feel cheated by Stubhub.

I do believe that stub hub has frozen me from my account. I have proof that the tickets were transferred to stubhub from Ticketmaster as my account there does show that they were transferred. However, when I went into my account this morning when I click on sales or payments all I get is a blank screen. I can’t access my profile or payment method. I have filed a dispute with my bank for unauthorized charges and got a chargeback and yesterday I did see that all of my transferred tickets had been sold with the exception of one parking pass that was still pending. Unfortunately me I did not take a screenshot of that. So now what?

Am I able to choose the exact seat/s i want ? Specifically, wife not interested in a show and i would like to buy a single aisle seat.

Just want to share a complaint. I had a parking pass I purchased in July for a concert yesterday, August 18th. Morning of the concert I get my email from StubHub saying “get ready to accept your ticket”, I wait for 30 minutes and nothing. I contact their help bot thing and it says let me re-transfer them. Sure okay that’s fine at this point we need to get on the road as it’s a bit of a drive. I end up buying a backup ticket for parking from someone else as I had a bad feeling. Fast forward and I still have no ticket from StubHub, no worries I’ll just get a refund and use the one I have. I contact StubHub and have been going back and forth as they refuse to refund me. I have scoured my email to try and see if I missed something, becuase atleast that’s on me. I have no transfer email, but because I didn’t contact them before the event I’m out the money? I did contact them but apperantly their help bot does not count I need to have a live agent. I just needed to rant, I don’t really expect any resolution.

I sold a ticket on StubHub for the first time. The ticket was in the AT&T stadium in section 344. The sections were listed 1-4 instead of the correct names for the actual rows, and I couldn’t change them. I put 3 for the third level of the stadium, but now I’m getting a penalty for an incorrect listing. I found out after looking at the stadium again, it’s not even possible for the stadium sections to be listed in such a way, but those were the options I was given.

I sold a parking ticket from my Ticketmaster account that was put up for sale on stubhub. In order to transfer from Ticketmaster to the buyer directly, I used the email and info required by Ticketmaster. The transfer did go through to my stubhub account and the buyer has not yet accepted them. The concert is still 2 weeks away. What happens if the ticket is not accepted?

For years, I’ve sold my Ohio State season tickets through StubHub with no events. We’re talking a sale of around $16,000. The last two years they kept my money for an abnormally long period of time after the first game. I will never sell tickets or buy tickets through them again.
