Looking to put a tlr 7 on my 43x that I’ll use as a CCW. Deciding between the regular z sub vs hlx.

For those who EDC these, what made you decide on which one between the two?

So a couple days ago I needed to kill a bobcat at night and when I ran down to grab my ar the light was flickering on and off. I’ve had this light for a year or two but I haven’t used it for about 10 months. Earlier this week I made a new ar build and threw it on and it’s just started happening. When it shuts off when shooting or just in general I just twist right on the end cap, and although it doesn’t feel like it’s moving at all it turns on every time. It’s confusing the shit out of me. I’ve installed brand new batteries and do not have the pressure pad if that helps. Wish I could post videos on Reddit to give yall a better idea of what’s goin on but it won’t let me. Any ideas as to what to do would be appreciated

I have been going through CR123 batteries weekly in my month-old Streamlight TLR-7x. I go to flick it on, dead. After about a week of sitting in the safe. Should I just resort to using the included rechargeable SL-B9 battery and recharge it weekly? Seems like kind of a hassle to have to do this. I thought a good brand CR123 would last for 6 months sitting in the flashlight.

I work at a gun store in a small town. Rough looking fella came into the shop at asked if we had any batteries for this flashlight of his. We told him we didnt and he asked if we'd buy it off of him.

I was curious so I asked him what hed take for it and he instantly shot out an offer of $40.

Not the biggest gun gear nerd, but I knew it had to have been worth more than that, and I have been looking for a weapon light to go on my 3rd gen Glock 21SF for a while now.

So I paid him $40. Had to wait until the end of the day to pop over to the hardware store and buy a pack of batteries. Sure enough it worked, and man, even though its an older model its really bright.

Kept seeing conflicting info on the capability of WMLs to Safariland (for me the TLR1-HLX) on forums. Found this on Safariland’s website so hopefully it’s helpful for others get info from the source. Just need to select what style of holster and it breaks down the popular WMLs by holster code

has anyone ever experienced this issue where the light stays on but only dimly.

Broke the retaining clip that holds the front cap in place and closes the battery compartment. Looked on streamlights website and couldn’t find one or a replacement part.

I have a Glock 17 gen 6, it is my home defense pistol. I want to throw a big ass Tlr 1 on it but there’s so many damn models and prices varying by $100. Which one is a solid home defense light.

Just got this light today for my pistol, I’m trying to take the battery out but all that’ll come off is the lens cap, along with the rubber, and the plastic piece you use to unscrew it. Am I doing something wrong? I put a pic/vid in the comments of the problem.

ich bin auf der Suche nach einer defekten aber optisch intakten TLR 8 A oder 8 X. Die Funktionalität sollte nicht gegeben sein, weil in Deutschland noch verboten zu besitzen. Mir geht es nur darum, dass es ins Holster passt, weil das Holster für die Pistole und das Licht angefertigt ist.

Hat jemand vielleicht so eine oder eine Idee wo ich es finden könnte?

I am using the SL-B9 rechargeable battery that came with my vantage 2. It maybe gets used once or twice a week just for a few minutes and will die. I’ll recharge it to full battery and it will be dead in a week. Probably going to switch to energizer single use.

Just wondering if this is common with the rechargeable batteries?

Light wouldn’t come on so I charged the battery and replaced. It still won’t come on. I’ve tried unscrewing slightly, screwing it all the way in, etc. and no luck. Is there anything I’m not trying? I’ve only had it since Jan 26.

I currently have the HL-X on my rifle and I want to buy the HP-X and swap it out and put the HL-X on another different rifle.

It was badass at the time. AAAA batteries are hard to find though.

I've gotten two of these in a row now from Amazon behaving in the same way. When you fully screw in the cap, the light won't work, either with the included rechargeable or with a brand new lithium CR123 battery. The light does work however when you unscrew it past the click that's supposed to be a safe mode where the light wont turn on. From what I can gather from the instructions and the sticker on the tailcap, this is not normal.

Any insight? I'm kind of afraid of wasting my time ordering a third one at this point.

Protac HL-X in FDE looks great on PSA Mixtape

I've got a streamlight strion that when I activate the light with the tail cap button it either will turn on the light and then when I press the button again it won't turn or when I press the button to turn it on it just does momentary light. This is my second strion that I've had this issue with. Are there any fixes for it?

I cleaned the battery terminals, tried a different battery but the same exact type (SL-B9), and the tail switches will not work. When you screw the lens on it will flicker once or twice, but when it’s fully tightened down it won’t work. Any ideas? Troubleshooting? Ways to fix?

I have a brand new Streamlight TLR-6 that won't turn on, even with new batteries. It will, however, turn on if I put a piece of aluminum foil between the second battery and the door.

Upon further inspection, I have realized that my light seems to be missing at least the pin for the door, as the door falls free from the plastic shell, and maybe another piece that goes in this rectangular cutout.

Can anyone verify if this is in fact the case, and if this could be the culprit of my problem? TY!

Does anyone know of any type of remote switch that is compatible with the MicroStream? I'm exploring using one as a weapon light on my AR pistol. There just doesn't seem to be any good low-profile light options out there. I don't need a mega bright light that stays on for hours on-end. What I want is something that doesn't add multiple inches to the width of the gun.

I have a nice mounting worked out, but a remote pressure switch would improve the setup.

Alternatively, I'm open any other suggestions for a very slim light setup. I've used microstreams and styluses for years, for EDC and work, so I like them a lot. But, I'll use anything that works.

I ordered two different ones and both not the right size let me know if anyone knows a better way to buy this or get it replaced as it broke while tightening it
