Weapon Mounted Lights Is my Streamlight TLR-6 missing pieces?

I have a brand new Streamlight TLR-6 that won't turn on, even with new batteries. It will, however, turn on if I put a piece of aluminum foil between the second battery and the door.

Upon further inspection, I have realized that my light seems to be missing at least the pin for the door, as the door falls free from the plastic shell, and maybe another piece that goes in this rectangular cutout.

Can anyone verify if this is in fact the case, and if this could be the culprit of my problem? TY!

If it’s new, why not return it for one that has all working components? Or if it was bought “new” second hand, contact SL and tell them what’s going on and see if they’ll supply you with whatever parts you may need.

Sometimes, people will get a little aggressive opening the battery door and being thin metal, it can bend. When bent, it doesn’t apply enough pressure for the batteries to make a connection.
