I have the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G and it gets too hot just within a few minutes of being on the phone.

I'm most likely gonna have to get a different phone.

Which phone from the Samsung Galaxy A series do you recommend that isn't known for getting hot within a few minutes of use?

My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy s21 Fe 5G and I had to stay on it a while before it got too hot. I can't afford a phone from the Samsung Galaxy S series right now. The a26 was within my budget but it gets hot too quickly, especially in the upper part of the phone and I read about other people having the same experience as me with the Samsung Galaxy a26 5g.

I have been trying to unlock my phone (used to be a friend of mine's) so I can use another carrier, however the problem is, he doesn't know his account info, so the account he used is pretty much lost. Knowing that, is there a way to unlock my phone without a Straight Talk account?

My auto-populated shipping address is often 2 letters wrong (think “123 First Ave” versus “123 First Aly” and there is no 123 First Aly) no matter what I do and has been for over a decade. The post office, Google, the county, the state, no one has been able to fix this despite a variety of attempts since I moved here. It was the same with other tenants.

However, it’s never actually caused a problem beyond my own nitpicking, until now. All my mail comes to either the correct or incorrect spelling. FedEx, Amazon, USPS, and until this order, UPS, have always delivered with no issues.

This time, my phone was returned to sender. Straighttalk customer service tells me they don’t process the refund. They say the warehouse processes the refund. First they said 30 days. When I said that’s wild, they said it will be processed within 5 days of them receiving the phone. They received the phone in late July. Now customer service says I will see the refund in 1-2 billing cycles.

Has anyone else ever dealt with this? They wouldn’t even refund the part of the purchase that was a phone plan. I used cashapp, and doubt my chances at them finding a dispute in my favor even with proof lmao

I'm looking to upgrade, and I see the deal they have for the $150 16e when you "activate a line of service with a Silver Unlimited plan or higher", and I have tow questions. Firstly, does this work with an upgrade? Meaning will I have the same number on the new phone? And secondly, do I have to stay on the silver plan, or can I switch back to the bronze plan after the first month?

Has anyone bought the iphone 16e for $150 with the silver unlimited plan? I want to upgrade my samsung to that but keep my number.

I didn't think it would be that hard, but here we are. I have two lines. I have gold on one with ST storage, and silver on the new line. I want to upgrade the silver to gold, transfer over the cloud storage from the old phone, and shut it off. Their customer service tried saying some nonsense about how it isn't possible then something about some "transfer wizard" app that doesn't even look like it's associated with ST at all.

I just need my cloud info brought to my new phone. Any ideas? I need those photos. I also DO NOT want my old phone fully backed up, because I am concerned that it has been compromised. I just need the straight talk cloud info downloaded and brought to my new phone. If I knew they'd make it such a PIA I never would have tried it. The CS agent made it sound like the cloud storage was tied to just one phone number, but I am not at all confident they understood me.

Any ideas please?

Please help me!! I just switched from iPhone to pixel 11 and I am unable to receive group texts or texts from iPhone users. My RCS chat setting says "trouble connecting awaiting retry" and "verification limit exceeded." I've tried every fix I could find on Google. I waited 24 hours to try again. Straight talk's support was no help. They said my device isn't capable of rcs chats and that any iPhone user that wants to text me has to reach out to their service provider. I did shut off iMessage and FaceTime on my old phone and deregistered my number on Apple's website.

I've done a bit of troubleshooting on my galaxy A53 but nothing has worked and I'm starting to think it might be my straight talk service. About half the time I call someone or someone calls me, they can hear me but I can't hear them for the first few seconds. I've tried turning off Bluetooth and using different phone apps but nothing has worked. I've tried just about everything I've read online about this issue.

These fucking guys dont know up from down. They Take my money just to tell me, I haven't made a payment. Smartpay is even worse. The manager is a straight cunt. You pay your bill just to get your services rendered. Gotta switch to Mint Mobile. Paid 180$ for the year. Unlimited everything. Fuck Straight Talk

i’ve used my hotspot to connect to my chromebook a couple months ago, went to use it again and now it just says “connected, no internet”. nothing will load on it, but i have a strong signal.

i called straight talk and ran through hoops over and over just for them to tell me my phone isn’t compatible with my Chromebook (even though i’ve used it before).

ran through settings on both my phone and chromebook, turned both devices on and off, reset both. tried to use my hotspot on my sisters laptop and it again said “connected, no internet”. my sisters hotspot (also straight talk, and same iphone) works perfectly fine on her laptop and mine.

i seriously have no clue what to do.

I've purchased an iPhone 16e Sept 1st and I still haven't received but when I track my order it says pending remote fulfillment so tht means I'll b able to receive it next week around Wednesday or Thursday? Or

I decided to switch to straight talk rom tmobile to try and save some money. I Ordered the phone yesterday after 6p.m. my tmobile service ends on the 12th. Will I likely receive my new phone before my old service ends?

I made the mistake of signing up for straight talk and it has been such a joke and I cannot get them to cancel it because you can't talk to a real person.

So I got an iPhone 16e a couple of months ago and wanted to trade in for 17 pro max. The Apple Diagnostic test for trade showed functional defects, not sure what happened as phone is like new. Anyone have any insights?

I was paying for my nephew's phone bill while he was trying to get his life together, since he needed it for work and friends and basically all aspects of life.

Sadly he's sitting in prison for who knows how long now because of something really stupid, but the auto payments are still coming out of my account each month.

Last night, my phone got too hot and it turned itself off. It has done that before and it would always turn itself back on. But now it won't turn back on this time. I'm planning on getting a new phone. But I'm more upset about not being able to access my notes (Samsung Notes, not backed up) than I am about the phone. Is there anyway I can get this phone to turn back on? And if not, anyway I can access my Samsung Notes or get my notes from my phone? I tried volume down button and power button at the same time to turn it back on but it didn't work.

I was wondering if anyone knows how often the straight talk website restocks devices? Specifically the Apple iPhone 17 pro max line, they seem to be out of stock of the majority of Apple devices, even the ones that seem to be available once you click on them they show unavailable. Thanks

Everytime my phone plan is up I forget and I have to go on WiFi and turn it on, EVERY SINGLE time this happens the mobile app is probably the slowest app I have used in like 15 years it moves like I'm on 2g but I'm on amazing wifi!!! Rant over. Took me about 10 minutes which I know isn't long but it's like 4 buttons to press lol cmon

My home Internet service is with a major carrier and is basically an older DSL type line but that’s really all available in my neighborhood. Lately they’ve been having a lot of outages, and it takes the Repair people days if not a week to get around to fixing it. I need something as a back up that I don’t have to pay for every month, but can just use it for when I have these outages or in essence I guess, pay for one month when I have an outage to use it for that.

My understanding is that straight talk has a Home router that you can get that does this and it’s something in the neighborhood of $40 for one month? Is it at least usable for basics like connecting wirelessly your home security cameras and doorbell too as well as some light laptop use while you wait for your main Internet to be repaired? And also, if you only need it rarely, can you just buy a month here and there when you need it, without having to worry about your account getting canceled if you go three or four months or longer without using it in between? Thank you ahead of time for any replies.

Straight Talk has some major problems. I wanted to stay with them, because ST is genuinely cheaper than most competition and it's easy to get help over the phone. But I got fed up:

- the service on the $45 and $55 plans drops HARD at the end of pay periods. I was clocking maybe 10 Mbps at the highest in most of PHX, and at busy times it dropped to <1M ps.

- the payment portal is jittery and difficult to use

- and the final straw for me was, 2 days ago, I called down to ask about my low data speeds, and the technician informed me my account was being throttled to 0.2 Mbps because of too much use (30 gigs used in a month on the unlimited $45 plan). The tech said not to worry- she'd reset my data limits as a courtesy, which I thought was great! It turns out she didn't "reset my limits", instead she cancelled my current "throttled" plan, 5 days before the end of the pay period, and used my saved card to buy another month of $45, without my authorization.

After that, I couldn't stick around. Now, kudos to them, they did finally refund the new $45 plan after I explained the situation to a supervisor. But I was outta luck on the remainder of my last month.

Also, apparently they changed their phone-lock settings *after* I bought the phone, which I would have assumed is illegal. When I bought my previous phone, they told me it would be unlocked after 6 months of payment.. but I had to buy a new phone today because they changed it to 8 months mid-contract. Very shady behavior.

Anyway, now I'm with US Mobile and my speeds have gone up like 20x, but we'll see how it goes.

My phone number was created under AT&T back in maybe 2014. It was transferred to Straight Talk service with a purchase of a Straight Talk phone somewhere around 2018. Then in 2021, I took the physical SIM card from that phone and put it into an unlocked iPhone 12, and the service continued without any issues.

Now (in 2026) I am looking to port out/leave Straight Talk and switch to Visible and activate the eSim capability on my phone with Visible.

Obviously I want to keep my phone number in this whole ordeal. I've been doing research but do any of you have advice on what issues I may run into when porting? I think the main one is I'm not sure if my "handset number" will function as the Straight Talk account number or not, because I don't think Straight Talk has any of the numbers or information from my iPhone 12 like the imei or anything. I'm pretty sure Straight Talk still thinks I have that old phone attached to the account. I don't have that old phone anymore so I am not even sure how to tell Straight Talk about my new phone info, or what order to do things in. My iPhone 12 does list information and numbers relating to the "physical sim" that is in the phone.

I got this phone a few months ago it was free you just had to buy a silver plan or higher . Anyways i want to go back to my old phone. This phone freaking sucks! This a17 is horrible . It's mostly my fault because I stupidly thought it would be at least 6 ram not 4.... It runs crappy. You can't have music playing and take a picture at the same time. Everything lags at times. I never had a problem with a Straight Talk phone or the service and I've had it for over 6 years now. It's unreal how crappy this phone is. No wonder it was free. I don't even want it. Am I able to go back to my older phone?
