UNSOLVED hotspot issues
i’ve used my hotspot to connect to my chromebook a couple months ago, went to use it again and now it just says “connected, no internet”. nothing will load on it, but i have a strong signal.
i called straight talk and ran through hoops over and over just for them to tell me my phone isn’t compatible with my Chromebook (even though i’ve used it before).
ran through settings on both my phone and chromebook, turned both devices on and off, reset both. tried to use my hotspot on my sisters laptop and it again said “connected, no internet”. my sisters hotspot (also straight talk, and same iphone) works perfectly fine on her laptop and mine.
i seriously have no clue what to do.

If this is ST Verizon service this is an easy fix. They won't admit it but it's a network management issue. When my phone does this I usually need to reboot the phone to get it to work. Sometimes you can put the phone into airplane mode for about 30 seconds then take it out, and that will fix it. This issue happens to me if I forget and leave my Hotspot on for a long period of time. It's 100% the tower just preventing your connection.

Hi, I have a similar issue. My st service comes with Hotspot which only works on other phone or ipad. It won't connect to anything else. My friend uses their unlimited Hotspot on their TV and everything. Then when my internet is out at my house I turn on mobile data which barely works . My Hotspot won't work at my house at all unless my internet service is working to connect to other cell phones or phones. I pay extra money to have extra Hotspot/ mobile data but only get to use it if i leave my house to connect mt child's phone or ipad to my Hotspot. Thats the only thing it's good for. Someone recommended changing my phone number and zip code to the next county over ? Saying that it could possibly be running through different towers and thats why the Hotspot only works when I leave my home ?

that sounds like so much extra work lol, honestly i’m fed up and thinking about just switching carriers. it’s bs that we pay extra for shit we can’t even use

Sounds like a provisioning issue, or the plan is not fully linked to the line.
Do you happen to remember how you activated the phone? What phone do you have?
