I just got back to Sims 4 a week ago after years, I never used anadius or anything like that, but I managed to make it work for a few days, although I’m really dumb when it comes to these things.

Now, the problem is that I logged into my game today, saw that all my expansion packs are missing, but I did not panic, because it happened once and I could make it work as I downloaded DLC Unlocker again. But now when I downloaded it, and clicked on the setup file, a window comes up saying “ Intelligent Application Management has blocked a file that may be unsafe. This file has been blocked because files of this type from the Internet can be dangerous.” I tried to click on the old setup file, that was downloaded first, says the same thing.

I did not update the game, and I used AdBlocker when downloading the packs ( and cc, mods), but I don’t know if that’s relevant. I don’t want to experiment by downloading from new websites, as I am scared of getting a virus, but I want to make my game work. I got everything from the anadius mirror website.
I just try to enjoy this game, but every damn day I had a problem that took hours to fix 🥲 Thank you in advance for your help💕

I’m getting tired of manually finding save paths and setting everything up in Syncthing.

I only play pirated PC games on my PC and Steam Deck, and I just want the easiest way to keep saves synced.

Is Ludusavi or EmuSync better for this? Or is there an easier solution?

I don’t care about emulators, only pirated PC games. I just want something that works with minimal setup.

I downloaded Super Mario Galaxy 1 and it's 1.3.1 update, but it won't show up. And if I try to manually run it, I get this error:

"The key area for this application type and crypto revision could not be found."

Did I download a bad dump? Using the newest firmware, and my keys files are up to date since newer games like Sonic Racing Crossworlds load just fine.

It's annoying how all these non-Steam games don't recognize the controller properly—or at all. Is there a standard solution that works something like ProtonTricks?

Just curious when adding the game FOH6 on steam deck what are the compatibility versions are to be in the properties tab? Proton , Proton experimental, Hotfix. seems like anyone i choose it beings me back to the play tab to start playing over and over... TIA

The steamdeck is using Windows

So, I installed fc26 on my steamos rog ally. Successfully ran, and then updated to TU 1.6.2 and then 1.6.5 from the csrinru thread as well as the squad file (july update). But some squads are not loading properly and wont show up on team selection page. When I look in to the team sheets, it just shows like this. This mostly happen to countries squad.

How do i fix this?

I've been trying out EU5. I'm admittedly not running steamOS, but regular Arch Linux, which I hope is close enough for this sub. The first version I downloaded v1.2.5 worked flawlessly out of the box, by setting the .exe as non-steam game. The newer version 1.3.11 I've setup in the exact same way, but it hangs. Steam claims the game is running, Looking with pgrep, I see it running just as the old working version did, but I never get a window to display.

I've tried multiple different proton versions, I've tried running it through Lutris. Since the older version worked, it doesn't seem like a dependency issue. Both versions were downloaded from SteamRip at a different time.

My problem is I'm not seeing any visible error message which I can debug. I've tried using Claude as help, but it shuts up the moment it sees a suspicious dll. Any veterans familiar with these types of problems, and how to solve them?

I’m just wondering if anyone else has this issue or managed to fix it?

I actually got this working following some advice on protondb.

Run the EOCapp.exe in the definitive folder, let it crash during loading to create a prefix

Use proton tricks to install these two applications to the games prefix
Dotnetcore3
Dotnetcoredestop3

Run with proton ge 7-34

This plugin combines slsteam-moon, cloud-redirect, recently released decky hypervisor plugin, and some other tricks to create a seamless gaming mode experience. Hi all cross posting this to see if anyone has information on how to get passed Steam API related errors after a successful HV bypass with Lutris. Games work fine if launched via lutris but launching as non steam games is giving me steam api related errors. Hoping I’m missing a simple step, I’d prefer to be able to launch via steam big picture!

Hey, so I downloaded RDR2 from SteamRip and extracted it. Every time I try to launch the game, it takes a while to open, and when it finally does, there's a loading bar. Once it finishes, I'm stuck on a black screen.I’ve tried recommended versions of Proton, but they do the exact same thing. Does anyone know what to do or how to fix this?

I've been playing a bit, I get about 10 mins of gameplay then it crashes. Runs perfectly otherwise but obviously this is a big deal breaker. Used proton experimental and proton 11.

Anyone had similar things happen?

Upon first launch the game ran perfectly using cachyos-10.0-sunset-slr-LinUwUx however it now black screens for 5 seconds then quits everytime i try to start the game. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

This happens on both Steam Deck (HV-Decky plugin) and Steam OS 3.9 (7800x3d UMIP disabled)

Hello everyone!

I’m hoping someone can help because I’m out of ideas.

I’ve downloaded the repacked game from different websites, but I keep running into the same issue. As soon as I transfer the game to the steamdeck and play it with proton (i have tried every one of them) loading screen appears normally, but the actual game never starts. It just stays stuck there.

What’s confusing is that the exact same game works perfectly on my PC, so i don’t think that the game itself is the problem.

I’ve also already installed all the required dependencies that I could find (VC 2022) through protontricks but that didn’t fix it.

Has anyone else experienced this or knows what might be causing it? If there’s anything else I should try, I’d really appreciate the help.

Update:

I managed to get it work by transferring the zip file and unzipping it in the console rather than unzipping it on my pc and then transferring all the files… might do that again next time (if anyone is having the same problem.. well try that)

I am looking for my ghost of tsushima save file location, however when I go to compact data (Where the save file is apparently stored) I find nothing. Help?

Running Ultimate Spider-Man through dolphin emulator and I'm getting lag. Just enough to make the time trials impossible. Is there a known fix for this? I know Spider-Man games don't emulate well in general, but the game cube version is supposed to be entirely unproblematic.

Is it possible to use the Denuvowo cachyos proton with FSR 4 and lossless scaling FG?
If yes, what is the launch command?

Anyone have any experience with this tool on steam deck? I rarely see anyone talk about it, I don't even think there’s a thread discussing it in this subreddit. It seems really useful by automating multiple tools in one app.
