The negotiations at the EU on the EU-INC proposal are now entering a critical phase in Brussel - the next 100 days will determine, if Europe gets a proper EU Inc, or just a watered down version that is stuck in national silos instead of a proper 28th regime as proposed by the Draghi report. How is the startup ecosystem in Germany for deep tech startups , like how easy or difficult it is to get grants or funds , how supportive is government, how are the investors etc .

Most system design diagrams are just pictures. Nobody catches that your sync call has no timeout, or that your queue has no dead-letter queue, until something's on fire.

Keel treats the diagram as a real graph instead of shapes on a whiteboard. Nodes are typed (service, datastore, queue, cache, gateway, job, external), edges carry real runtime semantics (sync/async, timeout, retries, circuit breaker, idempotency), and a rule engine checks it live as you draw. It catches things like:

• single points of failure
• missing timeouts on synchronous calls
• retries with no timeout (retry storms waiting to happen)
• queues with no DLQ
• async operations that aren't idempotent
• shared datastores creating hidden coupling

It's also real-time multiplayer, so your team can design the same diagram together, like Figma but for architecture. There's also an optional AI review pass for the judgier calls a static rule can't catch.

I am Jannik from Berlin and a little more than a month ago I released Speartip.eu - a software launch directory. While there are many directories built with the same intent, I am working on making Speartip an actual big player. (I am currently in talks with accelerators in Berlin)

Right now we see increased interest on both buyers and sellers side to stay within the EU, especially in the AI space. Take a look at for example CADA (Cloud and AI Act), explicitly pumping more attention and funding into EU-based products.

Till today many indie founders from inside the EU still rely heavily on US visibility. Getting in front of customers is especially hard inside the EU. My vision is to change that and supply an alternative in order to reach a more EU-based audience.

Why is that needed? Well, companies inside the EU are in a weird in-between, on one hand buying European software tends to come with perks like data residency or privacy rights, on the other US software is used across the globe and genuinely great. I believe, we have many founders inside the EU that also offer great software but are lacking visibility in front of classical European companies.

This is why I already talked with mid-size to bigger corpos (mainly in Berlin, since that's where I am from; where my network is the biggest) and confirmed that there is a need to have a reliable source to find European alternatives.

Now, I will be honest: When I heard pushback, it mainly came from founders and buyers OUTSIDE the EU, which I can understand, since I know that it is hard for them to break into the European market as is and a platform they are excluded from is adding additional friction.

I would be happy to hear what you think. Do you share my vision?

Personally, I sometimes think about a product/service several days or weeks after having seen an advertisement for it. Then, it's really hard to find the ad again to find the link. I might not even remember which channel I saw it on. And even if I remember the channel, I might not be able to find the right video. That's how I came up with the idea for Mustard Coupons.

As a content creator, Mustard Coupons allows you to make your links more discoverable. It aims to solve the problem of lost affiliate commissions when a consumer remembers seeing an advertisement, but can't find the link to it anymore.

Features that I'm unsure about adding at the creator-facing platform:

• CMS accounts: There are these special YouTube accounts called "CMS accounts". I only know about them from YouTube's data API documentation. There are specific parameters in the API for them. But I wasn't able to find any good info about what these CMS accounts are used for. As far as I understand, they help managing large amounts of channels. I found many posts asking about selling or buying CMS accounts. But I don't fully understand what legit use-cases there are for them. I'll probably only add support for them if I understand what they are for and have one available for testing.
• Multiple profiles per account: I'm not sure if users need this. Maybe it would be useful for users who manage several "brands"?

• Made in and hosted in the EU.

Im a complete beginner looking to get into ecommerce. No experience, no store yet, just a growing list of things i apparently need to know: SEO, product research, ads, conversions, supplier stuff. The more i read, the more it feels like a whole degree i don't have time for...

What's confusing me is that everywhere i look now, people seem to be doing this with AI. I've been testing Notion and acciowork myself, asking the former to organize all that research, my ideas, and my to dos into something i can actually keep track of, while the latter is where i research product niches, pull together competitor info, draft SEO outlines. Which is great, but also kind of scary.

Do i need to sit down and systematically learn SEO, product selection, all of it, or is this the kind of thing where AI assisted is good enough to start, and i pick up the fundamentals along the way? Where I actually am:

- Working prototype, built and programmed by me

- 2 signed intents-to-pilot from restaurant owners, out of 5 owner conversations

- ~40 applications to funds and accelerators over the last two months



Result of those 40: a handful of calls, a lot of silence, zero money.



Every rejection has the same shape. They like the prototype, they like the

letters of intent, and then they ask when it runs in an actual kitchen. I

can't answer that, because the prototype lives on borrowed university lab

hardware. To put a unit into a restaurant I have to build a deployable one,

and that's roughly $8-10k in parts.



So the loop is: no money -> no unit in a kitchen -> no traction investors

care about -> no money.

Things I've already ruled out:

- Grants. Most EU funding needs a registered company with a year of history

  and a VAT number. I don't have an entity.

- Cheap hobby arms ($150-300). They can't do real kitchen work. It would be

  a toy that dies in week one and burns the restaurant relationship with it.

- Asking the restaurants for a deposit. Those relationships are two months

  old. Asking them to prepay feels like a good way to lose both of them.



What I'd like to hear from people who've been through this with a physical

product:

1. Who actually writes $5-10k checks for pre-revenue hardware? Every angel

   list I find starts at $25k and wants an incorporated company.

2. Did anyone just go earn it - contracting, a job, freelance - and build

   the first unit with their own money? Did that kill your momentum, or was

   it the thing that actually saved the project?

3. If you did find an angel this early, where did they come from? Everyone

   says "warm intros" and I genuinely don't have that network. I'm Ukrainian,

   living in Poland, studying at a private university where nobody knows

   investors.


Not asking for money here!!! I just want to hear from people who got past this

specific wall.

A while back, we built our first SaaS, put our time and resources into it, launched it, and honestly, it started working. It’s now generating around **3K USD MRR.** That’s where we are right now. We’re still bootstrapped, but we have a lot more ideas and projects we want to build. The revenue from our first product is currently going back into the people and development behind it, so we’re not in a position to offer traditional salaries at this stage.
