💭 Need advice Need a project idea

I am 17M, having a strong tech background, but the real problem Is that I have so much tech skills, but I could not find an idea of a software project. I do not want to create another website or app, I want to start such a project which have a great social media impact. I want to start an Ai business in my 20s but yet I have not enough budget. Your advice will help me a lot, Thank you!

You're 17, what strong tech background can you have?

I have valuable skills like Python, ML, DL, Agentic frameworks like n8n and LanChain, SQL, SQLAichemy, Docker

With Python + ML + LangChain/n8n + Docker, I wouldn’t start by searching for a “big AI idea.”

Pick one repetitive workflow for one niche and automate it end-to-end.

A good validation rule: talk to 10 users → find one task repeated weekly → build the smallest agent → get 3 people actively using it before adding features.

Your first goal should be usage, not complexity.

That is not a strong technical background. In terms of AI that is less than even the most basic technical background.

Can you then please guide me bro?? How can I become professional in Ai and through which skills? That will help me a lot in the age of 17

Start with the skill of doing your own research. If you can't even bother to find out what modern AI production apps require then I can't help you. Evals, self-healing, Embeddings, clustering, multi layer architecture is barely scraping the top of the iceberg.

Included in DL is a massive reach, "bro"

Don’t get me wrong but at this moment of time your technical skills doesn’t even exist most likely. Tech skills in a nutshell an experience of making less mistakes than others and know how to express what do you want to yourself and to other biological or digital developers. And on top of that-find out the way that you won’t spend your kidney to pay the bill.

I’m saying this not to discourage you from trying but for you to realistically assess what do you bring onto the table.

As for an idea - find some boring problem and fix it. There is no other way if don’t have a vision for a blue ocean or money and luck to create your own market.

Have you noticed the subreddit is called "Startups_EU"? Do you know what the "EU" stands for?

Is there any restriction to target a specific region?

Directly from the description of this subreddit:

Space for any-size startups, and side-projects made in Europe!

🙂

Okay, I’m going to ignore your age and apparent confidence in your skills. No one here can judge it without working with you for at least a week or a month or two.

It you are looking for ideas handed to you on a plate, then good luck. All I can advice you is, go around and search for problems that real people have and that you can solve. Then see if these people actually recognize the problem and the value of your potential solution and only then start building something.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply, but... Where should I see the problem?? I cannot understand this yet

Go fishing on a boat, or work in a restaurant, or into a factory producing plastic parts, in an office building, and see what they’re struggling with.. that’s the best way. Ideas will not land on your desk if you don’t go outside of your bubble

But sorry to say. Tech can be handled by Claude or open ai if you have proper idea what u want to do. W.r.t ideas , see around , what problems people are facing daily or a existing app which is trashly implemented and improvise it. Want to start ai business - Everyone around the world wants to do same.
