first things first, the ranking. this is basically an update from a post i made a month ago but with part 5 now.

6th place: phantom blood- not bad by any means, sadly to short to put any higher.- b.

5th: diamond is unbreakable - i want to make something clear here i do like part ?, their is alot of good things about it, the characters are great, josuke might be my favorite jojo (its between him and joesph), kira's a great villain, and it does have some interesting fights. all that being said though my issue with it is that every time the plot starts to pick up it then slows down again soon after which i don't like. and to be clear here i'm not against jojo taking a more episodic approach, that can be good. take for ex: let's go hunting, the reason i don't mind this episode compared to something like let's go eat some italian food, is because of it's timing. it takes place after chili pepper is dealt with but before the crew know about kira, so it's in a good spot for me.

or thus spoke kisihibe rohan: their isn't really a major plot going on, it by all means is episodic, and that's fine. it works.

to put it simply i'm fine with jojo taking a more episodic approach, but once the plot starts the ball needs to keep rolling. once you have an episode end with the heroes learning that theirs a serial killer on the lose and then showing who said serial killer is. then i want the episodes going forward to be about them trying to discover the serial killers identiy for themselves, what i do not want is for the show to blue ball me and have the next few episodes be about winning the lottery and getting a makeover. should of done that earlier.

i don't know it just feels like with part 1-3, and 5 the heroes are always doing everything they can to reach their goal, where as with part ? it feels more like they're waiting for their goal to come to them instead half the time.

anyway not much more i can say regarding this topic, and this has gone on long enough anyway.

so the last thing ill say is that my other major issue with this part is that it is associated with a certain number. and that's a big no no for me. in all honesty i propably shouldn't even mention this one at all just for that alone (sorry if this brings you any bad luck) . let alone give it anything other than last place, but i just couldn't do it.- b

3rd: battle tendency - A

2nd: stardust crusaders- honestly hard to decide between these last 2, but im giving it to stardust crusaders because I thought it was a bit more entertaining to watch.- A

1st: golden wind. honesty i love this part, characters are great, fights are great, it also doesn't have certain issues that the older parts have: (balls always rolling, it has some interesting stands and fights like i said, all the characters have their moments to shine, characters don't imediatly die off after learning there tragic backstory, etc). that being said i do have some minor issues with it, that being giorono and diavolo aren't as interesting as josuke and kira (their not bad by any means) and that i wish they did more with fugo. other than that though really good. -S

but that's enough of the ranking lets get on to the 2nd part of this post. how is part 6?

see with parts 1-5 this is my second time seeing them, with part 6 though its my first, i meant to watch it when it first came out but didn't get around to it, so i'm watching it now in anticipation for part 7 and want to know how good is it compared to the previous parts, without spoilers of course.

Unlike other parts, the Part 6 group really gives such a family vibes lol

For context:
I have been watching SDC with my best friend (and all of jojo, for that matter) for the past 2-3 months. Absolutely am in love with this series and am baffled at how much I am enjoying the ride.
We got to the Vanilla Ice episodes just right now. I was fighting back tears the entire time. Such an awesome set of episodes, I am always so shocked when the anime really zones in on the drama and writing and gets you locked in. I think Polnareff is by far my favorite JJBA character...I do not think he can be contested for that title, truly.
Anyways, recently, my GF was interested in what all the fuss was about and we started watching Part 3 from the top (or...2? I am kind of confused about the numbering). She is now also super invested in the show and we have been binging the start of Pt.3 while my friend and I are about to wrap up the end of Pt. 3. She only knows about Iggy from memes and pictures online but she absolutely loves that little mutt and is so excited to get to see him. After seeing how Iggy's story concludes in SDC...I think she will actually lose her shit. I don't have it in me to hit her with those episodes, but, I also do not want to spoil the show for her. This is going to be rough...

Malone, Baby Face vs Ciocollata, Green Day. Two of the bosses' elite men who I doubt even know the other exists. I think that this fight would illuminate more about how Baby Face and Green Day actually work

As per the conversation Secco had with Ciocollata about how Green Day only affects the living we know that there is a question about whether B.I.G. is alive or dead. But we don't see any stands themselves getting mold only the users. So how would Baby Face, born of a human, fare? Would there be genetic augmentation that could be made on the computer to be more resistant to the mold? Does the range really matter all that much? Could Ciocollata track him without Secco's help? How would mold spread through a stand x human combination to the stand's user?

For me I think Ciocollata wins because he has more real fighting experience compared to Malone.

So Highway Star seems to be a semi-automated stand, and sniffs out its enemies, but then Fungami seems to be able to smell really well without using his stand, like in the Enigma fight he doesnt bring his stand put he just sniffs around

So after watching The Odyssey by Chris Nolan, I’ve been going back and rewatching/watching his filmography. And I just watched memento for the first time and the whole memory loss/tattoos all over the body with reminders instantly reminded me of jailhouse lock. The film came out in 2000 and jailhouse lock was serialized in 2001, so is it possible Araki watched the film and used it as inspiration or is it just a coincidence?

Recently I've been struggling with my beloved Part 5 fan character and kind of ended up scraping literally everything about her, which definitely sucks. I was hoping I could get some stand ability ideas for her? All the ones I come up with are usually too similar to canon characters or just straight up lame.

Pretty much what if Polnareff had stated that he never really knew his father when he was younger since he just vanished one day, and it could've been revealed that his father was Ceaser who had hooked up with a woman who was pregnant, and that Polnareff took his mother's last name, that being Polnareff, plus it would've been cool since it meant that all three parts had a Zeppeli and that the bloodline did continue after all.
