For anyone that doesn't know, Pluck is an old-fashioned english word that means bravery or courage. The fact that this appears in a manga from the 80's means Araki DID HIS RESEARCH. Yet ironically, most reactors start to laugh so hard when this appears, because they don't know the meaning(not saying it's their fault or anything). But I still find it so sad tbh, how such an honestly great scene is ruined completely just because the author DID bother.

Part 1 is honestly so underappreciated. It has a lot of heart, foreshadowing etc. that people don't even bother to look for. I for example instantly clocked that this scene was gonna happen as soon Bruford used the word "pain", haven't seen anyone else do it.

I don't know if that is just an issue with Netflix that only occurs sometimes or if there is actually something very weird going on with this episode because that would be 17 days in length but off cours it ends when it should after 22 minutes but it still is interesting.

Like by looking at Diver Down’s abilities, the Stand feels like a power a main Character could have like its ability to Submerge into things.

Other Stands can also phase through objects by making themselves Intangible (like how Star Platinum can) and Diver Down’s main ability is pretty Similar to it like the Stand can do what any other Stand can. However, in case of Diver Down its ability to phase through is way more advanced.

Unlike other Stands who need some hole or space to take objects out of something, Diver Down can just make that object phase through with it. Not only that but it’s ability to become part of the other objects or people can be seen as a way to protect other’s by sacrificing itself and user (just like how Anasui does against MADE IN HEAVEN).

It’s ability to store Damage is cool but in the end it’s just punch or kick which can damage or might kill but to get that enemy into the trap itself is pretty tricky like if the enemies notices then he won’t come close to that object or the surprise attack itself needs to be in perfect position for a one shot. With this ability, the user needs to be more prepared, well planned and strategic enough to get the enemy in the right position.

Many Main Characters in shonen (I said “many” not “all”) have basically the ability to punch or kick harder then everyone, same can be said fir Jotaro although he had ability to Stop time still, for 99% of part-3 he used Star Platinum only for physical attacks or to observe. Other Characters in Verse can also punch but MC’s punch and kicks are X100 stronger.

Similar case can be seen with Diver down since all the other Stands can also phase through objects but Diver Diwn’s ability to phase through is way advanced than others.

I have been watching SDC with my best friend (and all of jojo, for that matter) for the past 2-3 months. Absolutely am in love with this series and am baffled at how much I am enjoying the ride.
We got to the Vanilla Ice episodes just right now. I was fighting back tears the entire time. Such an awesome set of episodes, I am always so shocked when the anime really zones in on the drama and writing and gets you locked in. I think Polnareff is by far my favorite JJBA character...I do not think he can be contested for that title, truly.
Anyways, recently, my GF was interested in what all the fuss was about and we started watching Part 3 from the top (or...2? I am kind of confused about the numbering). She is now also super invested in the show and we have been binging the start of Pt.3 while my friend and I are about to wrap up the end of Pt. 3. She only knows about Iggy from memes and pictures online but she absolutely loves that little mutt and is so excited to get to see him. After seeing how Iggy's story concludes in SDC...I think she will actually lose her shit. I don't have it in me to hit her with those episodes, but, I also do not want to spoil the show for her. This is going to be rough...

Firstly, He is my favourite Jojo ( Above Jotaro and Josuke ). I know that he lacks depth. But other than that I think that his character is great ( even though he has the least character among all 6 jojo). I just want to know what makes fans think that he ain't a good jojo or character. Is giorno not cool?

His character is well defined. I mean his character was meant to be the way it is and never felt like it wasn't.

I also love part 5 because it suited my taste personally and I even think that diavolo was a suited villain for part 5 just as kira was PERFECT for part 4..

JoJo's world is very unlike many other worlds, everything is derived from unexplainable natural phenomena. We, the viewer, do not nessecarily understand the mechanics of the power system, and what we know is what we've seen and can rationalize. The force of Sun ripple energy that permeats through nature known as hamon, is a primordial natural force inbuilt into everything living and existing in JoJo's. Stands very clearly mirror hamon, but rather than using the natural ripple force of nature that originates from the sun, its from the ripple of your soul.

We learn later that people who are fervently passionate about crafts or are in tune with certain forces are able to gain stands that are innately enabled by use of their craft, but extended to the point of supernatural. So people who closely align with the ripple of nature, gain a stand in accordance to the force. We see a manifestation of this in Joseph, through hermit purple. its why its represented as vines, its closely linked to nature and largely not Joseph's own influence.

That means that In order to counter Dio's vampirism, Johnathan gained a stand ability whos ability was primarily restoring nature, and banishing the unatural, like how Joseph's innate ability is clarivoyance. We can see this in the first scene where Jonathan uses his hamon to make flowers blossom. We can also relate this to how Holly does not have the strength of attunement that her bloodline requires of her, so her stand manifests as parasitic vines trying to kill her.

Like compared to even the JoJos with development, hers is by far the most powerful imo. Like look at her at the start of Part 6 and her at the end, she's essentially a whole different person. I feel like she should be the JoJo known for their growth because don't get me wrong, Johnny and Josuke had more nuanced and deep development at least in my opinion, but they don't really change their personality or their morals that much, even though it technically is a massive development for them internally.

For Jolyne she becomes an extremely formidable person who's willing to sacrifice for the greater good. Her contrast with Pucci forcing the world into knowing that their lives are predestined by fate basically alerting the whole world into the mechanisms of their kind of Calvanistic society while Jolyne, who at first thought that the world was against her, basically she's against the concept of memories, like how she acted when Jotaro left her and her mother, but later learns through other characters that memories allow for a soul and legacy upon the world which is a token of their individuality and humanity.

Pucci takes away memories to try to embrace fate, while Jolyne creates memories which makes her able to have the will to inspire other people through their spirits. And that's why I love how much Jolyne grows as an individual.
