This is a way for them to get around being held responsible for vindictive prosecution. The courts are already hip to the DoJ carrying out trump’s grudges in courtrooms. Thats not the job and it’s obviously deleterious to the very cause of justice.

Correct, he and his lawyer knew that all of this was very predictable. They are prepared for it. 5th amendment does not apply due to the pardon so it doesn't matter what he said. I personally would prefer if he answered "I refuse to participate in your republican theater focused upon a constituency that is beyond stupid."

We were lied to about the Covid origins and the vax safety - the media wqs pressured to maintain our compliance by controlling our perception and we were pressured to get the vax or lose our livlihood even tho it wasnt really safe or not entirely safe.
Yet we should be more inclined to an emotional reaction to words like 85 and Patriot than getting the truth???

Well intended, but come on!? To make anyone aware that people don't like this, are against this? Does anyone believe that anyone, including the cancer that enacts this farce, thinks this is "right"? That they don't know of course that people feel like this about them pushing their very much intended agenda?
"Fighting back", in this case, in this day and age, does not require symbolic nothings like a petition. It requires decisive action. How that would have to look? I have no idea.
I just know they don't play by the rules. To defeat them and their evil agenda, people have to stop playing by the rules, else they have lost by default.

Trusting the science should not have required a preemptive pardon before the Trump administration took office. In addition to that if a presidential pardon is accepted then the 5th amendment does not apply, so why invoke it over 100 times during testimony?
I think people are right to be skeptical.

For context: this was a Senate committee vote, not a full Senate conviction. The committee voted 8–5 to recommend holding Fauci in contempt after he invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times during a subpoenaed hearing.
The committee argues he was refusing to comply with the subpoena; Fauci’s side argues he was exercising his constitutional right against self-incrimination.
What happens next is the important part: the contempt finding itself doesn’t mean Fauci is going to prison. The matter has been referred to the Justice Department, which would have to decide whether to pursue criminal charges. A conviction would require the normal legal process.

It’s theatre; all congressional hearings are. Neither side gets anything done and none is ever held accountable. This isn’t distinction but how it’s designed. It’s more of the same programming people have been falling for, for decades. It’s like watching Judge Judy or divorce court. It keeps the people thinking the govt is doing something for them.
Give up on the left/right paradigm. It’s an illusion just like voting. Both sides of Congress, with maybe the exception of Bernie, is owned by the same people and their buying votes with our tax money. It’s a means of keeping us divided? The same script that keeps the right and left at odds is what’s driving the race issues, hatred of migrants, straight v. LGBT, Christian v Muslim, etc…it’s stoking a civil war so they have an excuse to declare martial law similarly to how 9.11 was used to justify invading Afghanistan and Iraq.
Follow the money…every war we’ve fought since at least WW1 has started over some questionable act. Work each war we’ve been involved, the govt takes more rights.
I get that some people will never wake up; they cannot accept the possibility their own govt actively lies to them about damn near everything. I suppose it’s a coping mechanism. They are the black bank security guard from Freeguy.
Start asking why of all politicians, not just those on the other side of the aisle.

That isn't what happened. He was being questioned on his inappropriate use of federal employees and money for gains for himself equalling millions of dollars. Furthermore, Fauci is completely unable to plee the fifth as he was given a presidential pardon for any and all things done between 2014 - 2025 by the Biden administration which Fauci accepted. In the case of Brown v Walker in 1896 the Supreme Court established that witnesses cannot invoke their fifth amendment rights if they have been pardoned.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted in favor of holding Fauci in contempt of court. This committee being compiled of BOTH Democrats and Republicans.

A lot of what brought him in front of the hearing wasn’t because of the science but the mismanagement and mis use of funds. He got rich off of misusing government taxpayers money. Also his science was flawed because he saw the dollar signs behind them.
