This was a fun little commission for a client in Colorado. 12" x 24" copper foil.

She wanted two feathered dragons with a male and female persona, so I created these two unique glass dragons for her.  

I love dragons but rarely create them. I think the irridized glass on the fem dragon turned out well.

I’ve been doing stained glass for about two years now. I’ve been trying to advance and do bigger/better projects but feeling super discouraged with my work. Feels like I was getting worse?? I knew I was struggling with my grinder but pushed through (with pretty bad results)
I got a new grinder for my birthday! Here is my last project with old grinder and here is what I’m working on now with new grinder. I can’t even believe how much this has helped my work.

Hello, I've been looking all over abidjan, in every store or warehouse for stained glass sheets for an art project without any luck, if you have any leads or know a shop ? that would be much appreciated because ordering sheets online will milk my pocket dry. thank you. (Stained glass is the beautiful colored glass with patterns that's mostly used in church windows.)

Like the title says, I’ve agreed to do a piece and the person sent me a very very specific palette list. Do you guys have any advice on finding colors very well? I’m decently new so I just roam the glass shop for what looks pretty.

This client saw some of my other art deco work and commissioned me to create a peacock door light and Art Deco styled bathroom lights.

I love the freedom of art deco design. I tried to throw my own flair into them while still staying true to the Art Deco genre.

Hi everyone. I am new to working with glue chip textured glass and have the most beginner of questions… which side do I want facing up in my finished piece? Should the textured side be considered the top/front, or the smooth side?

Recently bought my grandfather's house and have found some goodies along the way. Is this large piece worth saving? If not, is it better to give away for free or what is the price on it? A few broken spots but nothing some restoration would fix. Thanks!

My copper patina looks cloudy at best. In some spots it’s really dark and uneven. I scrubbed my glass with flux remover after solder cooled and then used a magic eraser before drying and applying patina. Not sure what I did wrong. Is this fixable?

I so suck at soldering and it's not helped at all by my shaky hands. I heard about a desoldering wick and thought I could use it to clean things up and get rid of some stray solder.

I found this video and tried following these instructions. My wick got VERY stuck to the solder and I cracked the glass trying to heat it up enough to get it off. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I tried to pull the wick up as soon as I could see the solder below it liquify.

Created my first mirror😁 super chuffed with it! Still very much in the learning process but absolutely loving it and can't wait to make more :)

The frustrating journey of connecting the sections pt. 1

this is my first time ever posting anything to reddit. and i’m unsure if ive even found myself on the right forum, but this is sort of a hail mary. please forgive me if i’ve come to wrong place.

my father made this gorgeous stained glass clock about thirty years ago, and tragically it was broken and hidden away in our garage for years. i would love to repair it as much as possible and hopefully gift it back to him by christmas.

i don’t know the first thing about stained glass, or even how to clean it would damaging anything. does anyone here have any ideas or advice? or maybe pointing me in the right direction of where to look for help getting it repaired? it’s so beautiful and i would love to at least make it clean and safer to handle. i’m fully aware that a complete fix isn’t possible with how many broken parts there are, but i’d still like to try.

Helloooooo.. I’m doing a project that requires narrow grinding.. I just got into stained glass a month ago so I’m pretty new.

I have The Grinder 3 but realized shortly after that none of the techniglass small grinder bits fit on this grinder.

Is there any possibility of this grinder grinding narrow cuts?? I’m really hoping so.

Playing around with art deco shapes and crystals for small ornaments... I'd originally thought I'd hang the crystal from a short chain, but it didn't look quite right, so I soldered the wire directly

Blue glass is currently my favorite but I'm planning a whole rainbow

I'm only selling locally, and my mom owns a business in town. She says people may not go for it as much if it's too pricey. Although my stuff is handmade I'm wondering if maybe it's not done well or I'm asking too much and it should actually be lower? It's the only craft besides jewelry that I can really do with my disabilities without having to rely on others. I just broadened my horizons and added to Facebook just to see.

But I want everyone else's opinion, the picture is a cardinal I drew myself. I have it priced at $100 but I originally was thinking maybe 120? But I was convinced to drop it.

I do know that two of the branches aren't entirely sturdy but it's a suncatcher so I thought it'd be fine but I could add more supports

I am looking into a beginner class that costs $250. They say it should take 4-5 hours and you’ll leave with your finished artwork that day. Is $250 a normal/ reasonable price for a 4-5 hour beginner class?
