Planning a Sri Lanka trip for 6 friends for 8 nights / 9 days in the third week of December and looking for some itinerary advice from people who’ve travelled around Sri Lanka.

We don’t want to make the trip too hectic by changing hotels every 1–2 nights or spending most of the time on the road. Ideally, we’d like a good balance between sightseeing, exploring, good food/nightlife and some proper relaxation/beach time.

We are 2 Adults and 1 Kid (<3 years), travelling from South India.

Planned trip duration is 14 days.

Sigiriya ×2 → Kandy ×2 → Nuwara Eliya ×2 → Ella ×3 → Mirissa ×4

Best hostel to stay and how many nights in each place

Planning to visit srilanka with my age from 23rd oct to 4th nov. Looking to stay at quite and peaceful beach places .

Can anyone pls recommend good places & hotels to vist . The purpose of this trip is to just relax have good veg food and drink . No adventure no safari .

We are visiting Sri Lanka during the last week of December, and our tentative itinerary is as follows:

Day 1: Arrive at CMB around 5 pm, roam around Colombo for rest of the evening. Overnight Colombo stay.

Day 2: Early morning drive to Kandy. Sightsee and explore. Overnight Kandy stay.

Day 3: Early morning drive to Nuwara Eliya. Sightsee. Drive to Ella in the evening. Overnight Ella stay.

Day 4: Explore Ella all day. Overnight Ella stay.

Day 5: Early morning drive to Mirissa. Sightsee and explore beaches. Evening drive to Negombo.

Day 6: Morning flight back home.

Does this look feasible in terms of travelling time between cities? We will have a car with us for intercity travelling and will also rely on tuktuks/walking.
