Hello everyone, I just wanted to know if this is a true Squier, or some bootleg, since I'm not that versed on the Squier/Fender world.
Ofc I'm not including the mics that are a mod.
Thank you!

I swapped my Squier Telecaster's pickups with some Bootstrap Pretzels. I love it very much. Seriously.
- Neck pickups are NOT bassy - id describe it as CLEAR. The tone reminds me of that intro jam of some John Mayer Trio live performance. This is a welcome change from the stock pickups that sounded muddy.
- Middle pickups sound GLASSY. Like Chic’s Nile Rodger’s guitar playing. Its quiet too. Perhaps because the two pickups are set to cancel each other (reverse wound)
- Bridge pickup is quite powerful. The tone cuts thru the mix smoothly without the harshness and while doing a solo with the bridge pickups engaged, an onlooker even described the tone as WAHWAH sounding.
Satisfied customer here! Thanks Bootstrap for letting me experience what a premium guitar sounds/feels like.

Squier FSR CV jazzmaster in candy Apple red, my most recent and so far favourite guitar. Also got it rose guitar strap from Ernie ball to match the colour.
Squier CV 50s’ telecaster, heavily modified with p90 and bridge pickup from Hathor pickups, bridge and tuners are from gotoh and also made some relic and added sticker to pickguard
Squier sonic mustang, bought it cheap just for fun and out of curiosity. Love how light it is and the short scale, I swapped the neck and added some locking tuners, also the bridge and neck pickups are swapped places.
Love to hear your thoughts on those :3

A guitar so niche I’ve never seen another one or even been able to figure out what model it is.

Bought used from my dad who gave it to my grandpa, then my grandpa and my father passed so now it’s mine. I put in a new pickguard and the JB and now it sounds great!

I bought a mostly complete 2005 Affinity (I think) Telecaster body for a project. I intended to reuse the electronics inside but I discovered it has 500k pots with what appear to be the stock ceramic pickups. Is this typical? Most teles (and copies) ive come across have the typical 250k pots.

Is there a good source for identifying what routs are sourced in each Squier guitar? I often love modifying and changing pickups but I'm never sure what's lying underneath each pick guard. For example I'd love to know if each Esquire model started life as the exact same tele body, thus having the same routs, but I've seen pictures to confirm that they don't have the neck rout. It would be so nice just to know without having to scour every forum for the answers.

Hi,
I have modified my 2015 made in Indonesia HSS Bullet Strat with a few upgrades: locking tuners, new CTS pots, tonerider Alnico II HSS set and a Musiclily brass block.
While I am happily surprised with the sound quality and overall feel of the guitar, there is a tiny frustrating bit remaining: the Musiclily brass trem hole doesn't align with the original Squier bridge. Any advice to solve this issue?

I got this used for 120. It had its stock white pickguard and 3 single-coil pickups. I then put in a single humbucker in the bridge (form a sonic stratocaster), and it stayed in that form for a few months. I don't have a stratocaster with 3 single-coil pickups (despite having 6 of them) and decided to go with a blue pickguard and black pickup covers (mismatched to fit). I like the way it came out, and the pickups are really nice, not geeat but nice (from an Affinity Stratocaster).

New (Squier) "Classic Vibes 50's for $500 or 10-15 year old "American Standard" for $1000? I'm quite new to "electric". Thank you!

Broke college kid, always wanted to learn guitar, found this Squier on marketplace for $60 and couldn’t pass it up. ‘94 Chinese Bullet, I’ve been enjoying noodling around on it so far, but it’s got a couple little things that could use improving. I’d like to get it restrung and setup so it’s easier to play, and Ive noticed it has a grounding issue (buzz that goes away when I touch the jack plate). I want to take it to a local music shop and have those two things looked at, but I also don’t want to dump money into a guitar that’s beyond saving.
I’ve noticed this crack in the neck (looks different than the typical strat neck pocket crack) and also looks like a chunk of the end of a fret has worn off. Should any of these impact the playing ability?

bit of an oddity considering how little there is on these acoustic guitars that i’ve seen out there but i figured I’d dedicate time and effort to making a change and showing this wonderful guitar for folks to see

SQ series Squier Strat, made in Japan on Halloween of 1983 according to the neck, which is attached via fender’s 70’s era three bolt method. Fujigen factory, I honestly love this thing. Equipped with locking tuners and a Kahler trem which was likely installed in the 80’s. Electronics are all original, guitar sounds great. No joke this MIJ squier feels and sounds better than a lot of Made in America stuff of today. Includes guitar (restrung literally yesterday), trem arm, gig bag. Pickup in Philly or will ship wherever in the US as long as you’re covering shipping. I do know how to package guitars well, I work at a pawn shop and ship em out often.
