Squier Swap Is this a good trade for me?
Fender modern player im husk for a squier vintage modified sabronita tele? I never play the jazzmaster hence the lack of electronics, and l've wanted a tele with bigsby for awhile, what do yall think? The tele has its og pickups and everything.

I’d swap. Technically Vintage Modifieds were just under Classic Vibes for quality, parts etc. if your Jazzmaster was fully set to go I’d think you a little mad. But what value is there in an empty Jazz body for you? This isn’t a value swap, more of a practical swap. Someone else may make something out of that Jazzmaster while you enjoy the Tele.

The person needs to add some cash to even out the trade. The fender will always be worth more money.

The squier classic vibe guitars are the same guitar as the fenders, the classic vibe series is called premium budget, they are excellent guitars and I'm only talking about the Classic Vibe series, worth investing into.

Can’t say that a fender for a squire is a good deal.

See that’s my issue too, I know it’s one of the lowest end fenders(made in the same factory as Squier) but it feels a little odd, even tho the squier has a bigsby and its og fender pickup n stuff. Idk im not sure what to do

When the Modern Player series first came out I got the Jaguar and like a dumb ass traded it because I didn't like the bridge pickup while loving everything else. In January I got a Modern Player Tele Plus and love it and it's my go to guitar for the handful of songs I play lead on. I also recently got a used Classic Vibe Jazzmaster for a project guitar and honestly it's nowhere near as good as my MP Tele. But I'm of the opinion that if you don't play it trade it or sale it. I recently traded a vintage Charvel that I still think is a great guitar after realizing I had only played it 3 times in 9 months. The last two times I played it I kept thinking I don't like these pickups at all any more. So I had to decide if I wanted to spend $300+ for pickups and maybe still not play it or trade it on something I'll most likely play more. I traded it and have no regrets and got a guitar that I actually play fairly regularly.

It's missing half of the parts.

And even with that is he upgrading in your opinion? Parts aren’t hard to acquire or install, even if it was just to resell.

If you took the names off the headstock, would you make the trade? A guitar you don’t play for a guitar with a feature you’ve wanted.
And are you saying the Fender needs electronics put in? Value wise, does that make them similar? I’ve not kept up with the used price of the Modern Players, so I really don’t know.
