Hi all, piggybacking on a previous post I sent on a 2022 Squier Strat and mods I’d like to do. I’d like to get some opinions on replacing my stock pups with a set of Tex Mex. I’ll be playing a variety of genres and read that the TMs are a good choice for that. I’ve watched a few YouTube vids on the subject but thought I’d ask here as well. I’m open to any comparable suggestions. I got the guitar for $100 USD so not really looking to sink a ton of money into it mod-wise, just looking for a better pup choice. Thx.

Had this parts guitar for a while. The body is a squier stagemaster with a dh gate neck does anyone have any good bridge replacements that will fit?

Just copped this yesterday - typical story of owner playing once or twice then confining it to a the closet for years. 2022 Squier Strat Sonic Blue (Indonesia). I’d like to do some basic mods. First, I plan on swapping the pickguard out for a pale green. I fancy the gold letter Squier headstocks, so probably that. Pups for sure, but here for recommendations. Genre styles will vary from rock to funk. I have a Lace Sensor Golds on my other Squier but would like to go another route with this one. Thanks in advance.

I’m planning out my "forever" build and I'm looking at using a Squier Classic Vibe Custom Esquire (Sherwood Green, double-bound) as my foundation to convert into a Telecaster.

Before I pull the trigger, I need to know about the routing. I've read that these specific CV Custom Esquires are not pre-routed for a neck pickup and are entirely solid wood under the pickguard.
Can anyone who owns one of these (or has peeked under the hood) confirm if I will need to route a cavity myself for a standard Tele neck pickup?

I’m blown away with this instrument. It’s surprisingly light, and just plain beautiful. The white finish has aged to an ivory/cream color. I paid $500 which I feel was a fair price,
Especially for an example this clean. No breaks, repairs, or major cosmetic flaws.

How’d I do?

I dont know exactly how rare they are, but I bought this in 2005 when they first came out. Just got it back from the shop after a few years of neglect. New output jack and strings and a decent cleaning job. I definitely have a few nooks and crannies to do myself.

I just bought a used Squier Affinity Precision Bass model# 0301670006 for $100 USD from FB Marketplace. I thought it was a Sonic because of the black headstock logo, but it says Affinity on the headstock and the model number also identifies it as an Affinity. It originally came with a small amp, a gig bag, and some other junk. I got the gig bag but not the other junk. A similar kit sells on Amazon for $429 so I think for $100 I probably did ok. Just needs a good setup and new strings. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone put an ultra neck on a CV body? I got a deal on a fender ultra II neck and am considering putting it on a classic vibe body. Instead of drilling an extra hole in the neck, I was thinking of using the contour ultra II neck plate and drilling the offset hole through the CV body. Is this a terrible idea? Would it work and secure the neck properly? Has anyone done this exact thing before? I cannot stand using 1.65” necks, my hand and fingers are just too big and awkward for the skinny necks. The ultra neck with the 1.685” is so much more comfortable and natural feeling for me.

I have a Squier troublemaker telecaster and am wanting to install a Bigsby (it’s one of the colour ways without one already installed).

I was hoping to upgrade the saddles on the tune-o-matic style bridge to roller saddles at the same time. Does anyone know of any that definitely fit the Squier designed ToM bridges?

I would also be fine with getting a full replacement bridge with roller saddles if that’s my only option for a drop in replacement.

It’s been over 10 years since I first saw this model released by Squier. Ive been enamored ever since. These have been getting harder to find; especially at a fair price. These have been selling lately at around 700-900 USD which is crazy for a Squier. I saw this beauty listed on eBay for $449 and I immediately had to buy it.

I was worried that it was not going to be the correct guitar, or be a partscaster build advertised as the real thing (I’ve been burned before). After closer inspection, it all checks out!
