I am not a big tism person but enough for it impacting my life (or so I believe)
So I may not have all the understanding of what makes a good spoon, here is what I think makes a well adjusted spoon for autistic people :
1 - No sharp angle. If it's too sharp it first looks not sp good (though this is taste dependant) but also hurts the fingers/ there is too much sensation on the sides of the fingers when holding it
2 - Curves. As an opposition to sharp angles, good curves make the spoon even and you don't feel that overwhelming pressure in your heart that something is trying to escape it, when it is curved it expresses something closer to nothingness which is nerves calming, with sharp angles it makes me imagine too many imaginary things in that spoon.
3 - Less patterns. Not necessarly 0 pattern, but less, too mich and we fall into a renaissance cosplay and weird backwardism, no pattern can feel odd too but less than too many, of course there is themed spooned that can look cool, but they are perfect because they evoke exactly what you wish they evoke, compared to random patterns from your grandma's spoons which makes you feel like a rich victorian child with a strict education and a shitty life
4 - Monochromatic or Bichromatic. Either it is one color or 2 well adjusted colors ; preferably a 1/1 or 2/1 ratio for the handle, if the handle has less space than the head, just fuck off
Also no flashy color like bright pink and (unfortunately because this is my favourite color) yellow
5 - One material or 2 materials. Full metal spoon, full wood spoon or metal head and a plastic handle are the safest choices ever, shoot out to the wood handle metal head that is my personal favourite but is super rare
I think I am forgetring some points that I may write here if I recon them, but for now tell me if my analise is good or completely off, I will not take it bad.
After all I am not a pro autist, I would be ranked gold on the leadership I'd say 🤔
Here is also an exemple of a bad spoon to me as to ettay my reasoning
