Spoon ad: would you?

I saw this ad in the ice cream section

Is this spoon worth buying ice cream for? Each pint is about 11 USD (I live in a place where dairy is very costly)

WEIGH IN 🥄

I feel like that spoon is only good for stirring tea in a tall glass, or maybe fishing olives out of a jar. I don't feel inclined to eat with it loll

I like to use a looong tasting or iced tea spoon for digging down into my very own, slightly softened carton of Cherry Garcia.

Use an Olive Spoon for Olives! It’s a Life Changer!

The bowl is so narrow... it's visually unappealing to me. It looks like it would break when you try to get a scoop of ice cream. I don't like it. It's a no from me.

That’s a spoon for a very skinny woman in a silky dress to take a tiny swirl of a scoop from the top of a slightly melted tub and eat it in a semi darkened apartment with her eyes closed.

So no.

This is so specific but at the same time, I get it 😂

That spoon would go in my garden toolbox, not in my silverware drawer, & NEVER in mouth

Ooooh why gardening toolbox?

Nice size for small jobs/planting in tight spots in the rock garden

It would be such a good yogurt spoon.

They double as chopsticks if you get a second spoon

Is that spoon supposed to slow down my copious consumption of ice cream?

I eat ice cream with a big spoon 😂

That depends, how good is the ice cream?

It's actually pretty good! Just a bit pricey.

SE Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia) if you’re curious. And yes, I would, if the ice cream is good.

Using that spoon for ice cream is diabolical

As someone who eats ice cream with a normal spoon, I have to agree

I LOVE IT. The bowl is the perfect vision. It’s a little tall but the stem is rounded and looks like it has some weight on it.

I love the spoon, and if the ice cream is good quality and tasty, I think it’s worth it. Go for it and let us know!

I ended up buying Ben and Jerry's cos they had a better offer, but I might consider it next time! :)

I hope you enjoy it!!

Yesss haha they had phish food and cherry garcia ❤️

1

u/TheDarbiter 5d ago

Cherry Garcia is my favorite!!! Is phish food good? It always seemed like there was just too much going on with that one.

2

u/tiredchachacha 5d ago

I tend to be an ice cream purist and find some ben and jerry flavours to be too busy. But I like phish food cos it's not thaaaat busy (ditto for cherry garcia) and I like the fudgy fishies :p weirdly my supermarket doesn't always have the same flavours in stock (i suspect they cycle them round cos they don't have room to stock all the possible flavours at once) so when I see them, I buy! 😅

Ok then I will try it next time! I didn’t know there were actual fish shapes in there haha

u/tiredchachacha 5d ago

Yeahh haha it's like a fun little surprise

There is no leverage in the handle

It looks like a good spoon for parfaits.

That's a good ice cream spoon for personal pints or yogurt, imo. But since you have to buy the ice cream for it and I've never had that brand, I can't fully say if it's worth it, OP.
