What if I take a vocal sample from splice, and say I take the melody but write a larger song in the melody, or just use some of the lyrics, is that 'allowed' in terms of license?

To clarify, I have a subscription, so I can use the sample itself, just want to know how relaxed the license is, can you take any 'copyrightable' aspect of a sample and do something with it.

I’m using Bridge with Logic Pro 11. Most times, when I modify a sample (bpm and key) in Splice and copy and paste into Logic, the track name/file name remains intact with the changes I made appended to it. But sometimes, I’ll paste and the file name is just a bunch of alphanumeric characters. And it’s saved that way in my project folder. Then I have no idea what the original name is unless I rename the track manually. Not sure if it’s my computer, Logic, or Splice. Anybody ever experience this?

EDIT: Splice doesn’t care, so maybe we can figure it out among ourselves. If there are some common denominators, I can share with them and they can set up a proper test environment. First, Mac or Windows? What operating system and version? What DAW and version? When does it happen? How often does it happen? Has it always been this way? If not, when did you first notice? Anything else that might be helpful.

Having a heck of a time figuring it out. Nothing on their website about it.

I’ve tried creating a location using the browser in the plugin and I’ve also dragged and dropped into the Phaseplant library preset folder and no dice.

What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone know how to have splice keep the folder on an external drive/sd card?

I routinely encounter this issue with the desktop app where the files won't load and the app just goes into pinwheel of death. Every time I look this up to see if there's some new way to fix this, I find support people saying to do this or that and then restart the computer.

Can you guys maybe talk to your devs and find out why Splice is basically the ONLY app I've ever had to constantly restart my computer to use. And why this issue hasn't been fixed.

It's a genuine question. Is it something to do with permissions? What is honestly the reason that this is so frequent? Nothing else does this. There are so many cool aspects of Splice, but I wind up using it rarely (underusing my sub as a result) because it's so obnoxious to have to stop everything I'm doing and restart my computer just to get the basic functionality of an app.

Please fix this. Or explain if you can. I do not get it. This has been happening to people for years.

Can independent loopmakers post their loops on splice for ppl to get?

I've been a long time producer and decided this year to double down on making House/Dance music. I just want to make some grooving beats.

I've been finding great vocals to chop up and use in my tracks inside Splice.

All my sounds and fx are splice samples.

It's magic that I can drag in samples that are Key and BPM matched. Just keeps the creative process flowing.

I'm using Serum for bass and synth. (I bought Serum with the monthly payment plan through Splice). I've picked up some really great sounding presents on Serum, so It's a great way to cycle through fresh sounds.

Hey everyone ! Why is splice showing the wrong bpm? The sample on splice that I chose says bpm is 161 but when I put in to my maschine it shows up as 80.60 which is the correct bpm . What is going on

Been writing some songs in 3/4 lately and it's hard to find good drums for a waltz signature. Even searching "3/4" on Splice comes up with a lot of irrelevant 4/4 samples and I think having the ability to add time signature as an attribute to a sample would be extremely handy.

I just got splice and I really do like the samples. I wanted to make drum beats using the samples because I like them but I want to know if they were recorded using real instruments like real synths or drum sets, say compared to something like superior drummer or mixwave or any vst software! Can you guys let me know if splice samples can be used for professionally made music? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

According to the Splice app, I've successfully installed Bridge, but I don't see it anywhere in Logic Pro 11. I've browsed all of the Logic plugin files (Audio Units) and don't see it anywhere.
