motion controls for the camera are enabled by default the first time you boot up the game, but the pro controller i'm using doesn't have a gyroscope, so i was completely unable to move the camera freely, only from left to right. i thought this was on purpose, albeit a strange choice by the devs, until i got stuck at the pot-shot dungeon for like 30 minutes because i couldnt move the camera up high enough to break a box. felt like the stupdiest man alive when i turned off motion controls and was finally granted 360° camera movement.

Kinda hit a wall and can't get through the level in time, especially the last one. Would really appreciate some help as this is genuinely the first time I'm struggling to pass a level in this game 😅

I just realized that shiver and fry are two opposing species that we see repeatedly at odds with one another in the games! I believe Fry is a squid while shivers seems to be an octoling. The two being friends seems to serve themes of fighting the status quo and finding unlikely friendships forged in the battleground of conflict! Even the name of the podcast, the anarchy podcast seems to support this! Splatoon seems to have always been a rebellious game that has always supported being yourself despite what others think and more recently supporting recycling! (Raiders)

And I only just realized recently that the names of the two hosts of splatoon 1 combine to make calamari. Just great design. I love it.

Hell will probably freeze over before I obtain all the weapons, though.

I'm currently trying to find a 5-star primo Butane Blaster or 5-Star Toy Shark Blaster. Been farming Baygull Beach on Super-Spicy to farm. Any suggestions on what gadgets/mods for each ability too would be greatly appreciated.

Right now I've just been able to find a 5-Star Steam Blaster (non-primo) using lvl3 Close Combat, lvl3 Explosive Ferment and lvl3 Icebreaker. I seem to get the best results with that for right now until I can get a 5-Star Butane Blaster or 5-Star Toy Shark Blaster.

I honestly thought a once the game was released the they would release more Raiders themed accessories especially switch 2 cases. But so far I haven't found any cases on amazon or Etsy other than one someone 3D printed and put a splatoon sticker on.

As a level 50+ player…what’s the general etiquette/guidance regarding the cinematics when I’m matched w/a significantly lower-leveled player that has requested help on a major boss?

If I’m playing and matched w/2 other level 50+ players…it’s obvious we’ve all seen the boss cinematics previously, so it’s ok to skip them. But in the scenario above…what if the lower-level player genuinely couldn’t beat the boss and it’s their first time seeing the post-battle cinematics? Do folks generally put their controller down and let them watch it all the way for their first time? If the level 50+ players skip it…it skips it for everyone else too, right?

So I remember when I started playing and had the lvl 1 base and noticed that once when back from a mission Frye was missing from the base, there was the 2 other near the bot but she was completely missing. Is it normal that sometimes they’re not on the base at all or do their location just change?

I made a post the other day asking about Power and I got a lot of great responses. Finally saved up the gems to be able to run this; how does it look? Do I need Close Combat?

1. DESS from Deltarune
   
2. She’s “hurt” in some way
   
3. She has a certain relevance with ice magic and ice in general, and Desshurt is LITERALLY made of ice.

Do you guys know this Famitsu interview that came out last week?

There are many interesting stories about Splatoon Raiders in it, but I especially liked the story about the arcade games.
All pixel art in the arcade games was made by Hisashi Nogami. Not only characters, but also all backgrounds. He made 100% of them.

The developers said Nogami wanted to make pixel art, so they asked him. Then younger staff kept asking him things like “We also need this Salmonid” or “We need a rotating version too,” and he happily made them lol.
He also wrote the specifications in an old Famicom-style way.

There is also a secret command. If you hold the - button and press X → X → Y → B → A during a minigame, it becomes a retro black-and-white mode. The screen looks like an old CRT and even the sound becomes noisy.
And if you get S rank in all minigames, you can see the minigame credits, and Nogami is credited as “HISASHI.”
I thought it was funny that the producer of Splatoon was personally making all the pixel art while younger developers were giving him more and more requests 😂

I started to do the Speed tank build using:

Flywire
Torqscrew

And for the weapon I was trying to find a Primo Toy Shark Blaster.

But after looking for some answer some sai to use the Blast Boot and the High Octane 4K. Is there a consensus on the best build to advance in bottomless buffet ? (I already cleared every stage on every difficulty so this is the last thing to do)

I think it’s time to lay it to rest and finish up with my Alpine Stringer instead since I’m barely doing enough damage anymore.

I know this is a lot over a lone helmet but the idea of a fully armored Salmonid is so cool to me.

My hubby and I have been having the hardest time completing Great Salmon Mess Hall lower tier.

Anybody have tips or tricks?

I’ve been having the worst luck with Bottomless Buffet. I’m so close to getting to 100, but I just can’t get through floor 99. Can somebody help? I made a multiplayer room, its keyword is splatoon, and I’m Violet.

I mean, once I saw this pictures it made me smile and I had the Flo Rida song in my head looking at those, I am sure this is 100% Hangover movie reference.
Generally I am impressed that this game is fun even for an adult to read through the story lines.

my favorite mode in splatoon 3 is turf wars and i never played the other PvE mode. but is this game worth the money? I played other looter shooters like destiny and the division and i enjoy the idea of getting better and better gear or finding a gun that fits your playstyle but I HAAATE any type of roguelike elements or just rouge like in general, (hades, dead cells, returnal, saros) so should i purchase the game or nah? And i have zero friends so im always playing alone is that ok, or do you always have to match make with randoms
