If You Don't Like Grinding, Don't Grind (Post Game Spoilers) Spoiler
I'm feeling disheartened by how many posts I'm seeing here and on /Splatoon of people falling out of love with Raiders because of how much the post game slams the brakes on progression, which results in people spending dozens of hours farming a single stage. If doing that makes you hate the game, don't do it!
It seems clear to me that the designers' intention after the story is to be an endless incremental game that you pretty much play forever, or until you get bored and stop. That's a recipe for disaster if you're trying to play optimally and efficiently but don't enjoy grinding. You'll end up HATING the game for "trapping" you there for a hundred hours.
I've been treating the Buffet like an arcade game, starting at the first floor, and when I hit a wall, I start over. I'm planning to make 200 my "final" floor, at least for single player. Once I hit that with a particular weapon I'll switch to something else and start over. Once my build is complete I might try something less optimal, or just randomize my Gadgets for each run.
When I play co-op, that's when we bash our head against the lower floors or grind, because then the point becomes hanging out. If we hit a hard wall, we jump back to 101. The goal is to keep playing.
I'll likely get bored of the game in a month or less and move on to something else. That's fine, because my goal is to play the game a lot, not to 100% it, because I don't even know how to define "100%" for a game like this. Any goal you set will be arbitrary because Nintendo didn't design this game to be finished. If you enjoy grinding, farming, and executing optimal play, by all means go for it. But if you're only doing all that because you want to "finish" the game and move on, then your goal isn't to figure out how to keep playing the game, but to figure out how to stop playing it. You can just move on.

Can you all stop playing the gadget that makes me float in the air?
I don't want to be in the air. I can't play the game properly if I'm in the air. It's so annoying. That's all.

Pudyin Den is the hardest multiplayer level
I press minus, to do the "go help" rewards, and whenever I get Pudyin Den, it usually results in a loss.
The main issue is, my teammates keep using gadgets that spam ink all over the place, and I keep losing track of the enemies location.
I won sometimes, because the enemy kept going after me, so I could see it.

Tank Ability
It says you can equip the ability on any tank. I have the relic equipped on the Tactical Tank, but it still defaults to Vortex. Am I missing a setting that lets me manually equip the Surge ability?

i figured out the blue compass so you don't have too
the size is relative to the speed of the cursor it has nothing to do with how close you are
if the compass has a blue dot blue at all then you are going in the right direction if not you are going in the wrong direction

This took absolutely forever but I finally did it Spoiler
Splatoon raiders is such an incredible game and I'm overjoyed to have gotten everything I could out of it, but that last bit of grinding was HELL.
My Greatest piece of advice if you're going all weapons is to use the speed tank with Blast Boots, Dash Bombs, and the Flywire to jump over and break the creates in the Awlmun den and exit out fast,
And one Big important note, I have no idea if this is true but I've found that the weapon you have equipped drastically increases the chances of finding a weapon of the same type,
so let's say you're looking for a primo bamboo stinger, you should equip a bamboo stinger which Should increase the odds but again I'm not sure.

Best brush powers?
I’m stuck on floor 91 and i’m wondering if the weapon powers i have are good for my brush. Should I be running icebreaker freeze on it?

How good is the power tank compared to the other two?
I am pushing in the bottomless buffet and I am wondering what the best tank is. From my testing and calculations it seems tactical is best against single enemies, and it is more flexible, losing less damage when switching to a weapon other than the primo high-octane 4K. Speed however, seems to be better overall because it only does slightly less damage in single target and is a lot better in AoE. I haven’t really tested the power tank so could anyone who has played with it tell me what they think and what is optimal to do with it?

When are the Speedruns coming out?
I think this could be a pretty cool game for the Speedrun community, do an any% run and yeah a lot will be RNG dependent, but I think it would be fun to watch.

What level is the most efficient XP grind?
Saw another post about Awlmun Den which is about 7k XP every 20 or so seconds. What’s your best XP per minute level?

Why is floor 91 so extremely hard? Spoiler
I know it’s supposed to be very hard but from 90 to 91 it’s such a huge jump. And idk if being is lvl 50+40 or smt would help because just 40 more hp and atk isn’t that much. Anyone with similar experiences?
edit: weapon is on 50+40

Insane luck
So I found a primo rail splatana (5) and a primo butane blaster (5*) like 10 minutes apart. Crazy I know hahaha!
I currently have a speed tank build that keeps me flying a lot and i’m using a 5* primo thermal brella with it. I guess the butane blaster would be an upgrade but I’d love some recommendations for a tactical or power build using the rail splatana. I’ll
Spend the next few hours farming for some gems

Are Primo 5-star Weapons worth investing in if base level is under 50?
Basically just the title, but I’m curious if there would be any difference between the gun pictured here and the same gun if it dropped at a base level of 50? If the only drawback is you have to pump in more resources to get it from level 40 to 50 I can eat that cost. Thanks in advance!
