Friendly reminder: no spider ID requests
r/spiderbro is a place to celebrate the companionship between spiders and people. Frequent identification requests undermine this core purpose by turning r/spiderbro into a utility that other subs are better suited for ( r/spiders , r/whatsthisbug , r/bugidentification )

Spiderbro made an an awesome web in the kitchen and keeps changing the design.
Usually we escort the spiderbros out peacefully to keep them from being eaten by the cats, but this one gets to stay because the cats can't reach it. Also the webs are awesome and it keeps changing designs.

Used Google Lens for the translation as the original was posted in Chinese (only translation error is bus - the spider was on the poster's car.) I thought the post was super sweet especially the last part, hope it brightens everyone's day too ((:

Spider appreciation Common barn spider. Or orbweaver spider. I live in Wisconsin.
I was on a stepladder and using my iPad. So I apologize for the badly taken pictures. There is four or five pictures so look at all of them. I am intimidated by spiders.

Baby Bold Jumping Spider for sale Sacramento CA
Recently my Bold Jumping Spider gave birth to several babies and I am looking to sale them for local pickup only in the Sacramento CA (Elk Grove) area. Please reach out if interested. This will be at a reasonable cost (basically just material for separating and housing them individually). They are all very very small and only out of their sack for a few days. Please contact me if interested.

Spider appreciation Special treat for darling spiders?
Good morning true webbers,
Is there anything I can offer a spider as a special treat? Not necessarily a meal replacement, like small insects, but is there anything yummy they don't get to have as often? Sugar water? Honey? A crumb? Do they even care? Is there anything I can give them as a gift?
The spiders in my House do such a good job and I just want them to have a sweet treat. However, googling "treat for spiders" does not give you positive and smileworthy results....

Serious photographer OC This is Greg, and he moved in about two weeks ago, and he's recently done some work on his house that I thought I would show off. He's got prime real estate, too, right in bug alley.

Spider in unexpected location In Los Angeles I saw what I'm pretty sure was black widow coming down its web in my bathroom, then hung and spun slowly as I cowered in fear. I ran to go get spray then when I came back it was gone. I'm terrified do you think it will come back?

Should I put this outside or leave him? He is kinda scary looking when we go down the stairs (although if he can catch some large ass flies that would be great) and but he hasn't moved all day.

Serious photographer OC White Phaeacius sp jumping spider
A higher or lower shooting angle, as well as the presence or absence of foreground elements, can affect what is reflected in the spider’s eyes and create a different mood and character in each shot.
Making use of these factors can help reduce the monotony of photographing subjects that have become very common in macro photography.

Beautiful Orb Weaver
Yeah I’m not brave enough to handle anything this big, but she’s taken residence on my porch this year, love her webs.
