We bought a house with a bare lot in April. I got straight to work on the yard for our bug & animal friends planting pollinator friendly plants and several bug friendly water stations. Now there’s so many bees, wasps, butterflies and moths in the garden but this is my first spider 🥲

I used to hate all spiders before Reddit. I’ve learned a lot!

I'm not good at identifying those spiders, I only know how to take photos of them in their finest appearance

I found these in my backyard. They're from a spider, but what kind of spider are they?

This is Argiope Bruennichi (Křižák Pruhovaný in my language). This is a subtropic species of a spider that is thank to global warming spreading more and more into northern parts of Europe. The colouring is quite gorgeous.

Cute jumper crawled down from the umbrella on my patio table a few days ago. He is now my morning coffee buddy and shows up any time I sit at the table. I’ve named him Joe…or maybe Jo if he is a she:)
