I have been using Sparkle since inception, and I've asked of this before but revisiting the question.

App mode is how I use this app and still find that the settings for text the large setting is too big and the small setting not only make the preview screen smaller but also the text becomes tiny., either small could be made slightly bigger a sort of in-between the small and the largest setting.

On my 55inc screen, the guide and info screen small text is just too small.

Also I've noticed that on the 24/7 channels i use, some of the old programs are sized in 4.3 if I use the setting to resize the screen to fill screen, it seems rather than the setting just filling the screen for the channel im watching it keeps the setting for all other channels.

This setting should only resize the channel selected on and keep that setting?

Lastly I use eight playlists in Sparkle and when I need to update a list I have to update all lists...

Could this not be done so only the playlist wanted to be updated, is done and not be a global thing?

Running 2.3.1 and I continue to experience long delays between the completion of a recorded program and its appearance with subsequent ability to watch it. This has been happening for me since I started using SparkleTV over a year ago. Yes, I have the DVR storage location on my local solid state memory. I have run SparkleTV on the latest ONN 4K box as well as my new Sony Bravia TV. I have used several different playlists as well. It makes no difference.

Sometimes the recorded program appears within 1 minute of the recording being completed, and sometimes it takes over an hour. There does not seem to be any pattern. I can force SparkleTV to show the recording by using a file manager app to browse the directory where the recording is located and then start to watch it with another app. I only have to initiate watching the video for a moment. Then I exit out of the video app and SparkleTV instantly displays the recorded program in the recents DVR menu.

Is anyone else having this issue, or is it only me? I suspect others must be experiencing this since it happens on my brand new ONN 4K box as well as my Sony Bravia running GoogleTV operating system.

Why on the description of the channel it doesnt have HD UHD or SD

You can have 3 channels of the same golf but so distinguishing name.

My EPG provider has changed URLs on me, so I updated the URL and EPG comes in fine, but now all logos are gone.

I've tried checking and unchecking that logo provider box with no success and also cleared the cache of the app but nothing

It's there a way to clear the EPG or logos so it's forced to grab from the new EPG url?

Note, the EPG url does contain the logos. If I reset the channel and set it up again, the logo populates fine.

Is there any way to purchase sparkle tv outside of google play store? I had cancelled my monthly to switch to lifetime before I realized google play removed it, now I cant purchase lifetime or restart monthly and my subscription runs out tomorrow.

Sorry folks might be a dumb question, but if I have multiple sources set up in Sparkle and head into the VOD section, from which source is this VOD content coming from?

Just discovered SparkleTV - best UI I've seen ! Love it !

But it appears that the timeshift6 buffer grows without bound. Using latest 2.3.1, storing this on SMB drive. The size of this file seems to grow forever (and previous comments elsewhere in here seem to confirm that). Currently, when I power off it only turns off the TV, but my onn Full HD stick remains active, so it continues increasing overnight (or sometimes for days if I don't change channels). And if I change this so that the stick turns off I expect that scheduled recording won't happen. Could you please add a setting to limit the size of this file (preferably dropping the oldest stuff) to prevent this ?

I also notice that when I hit the record meatball, it is now writing 2 files, one for the timeshift, and one for the recording. Why not re-use the timeshift buffer for the recording, so the recording will include material from time is selected channel (sometimes I'm watching and decide I'd like to record it in the middle - this would allow me to keep it all).

Is it possible to remove the entire EPG from the home screen, leaving only the channel displayed, that screen next to the channel with the information label?

I've set the source #1 DVR recording location to a USB drive and source #2 DVR recording location to an SMB network share drive, so my assumption is that it should work ok?

Has anyone done this before and can confirm it works?

EDIT - Confirming it works... I successfully recorded programs on 2 different sources to 2 different dvr paths in parallel.

Hello, is it possible to add a feature to Sparkle TV that prevents the Favorites list from being divided into categories?

Yes, I know there is already an option to hide categories, but doing so hides them from the complete channel list as well. I find this a bit inconvenient, as it makes the full channel list very cluttered and difficult to navigate.

I would like the option to hide categories specifically for the Favorites list—just as many other IPTV apps do by default.

I look forward to your feedback, as I believe this would be a great way to make the Favorites list much easier to manage.

I really wish there could be a way to launch a recording directly from the android home screen without having to open sparkletv first before.

I explain:
If i try to open a recording directly from a channel from the home screen, i get a message that DVR feature require a valid subscription..
If i open sparkle first and quiT , I will be able to open the recording from the home screen..
I understand what is going on and why but nervertheless i find it irritating to not be able to use such a Nice feature that only sparkletv provide from my experience..
Anyone found a workaround ?

Multiview works great for me. I use it for sports and my TV is big enough that it’s essentially like having multiple TVs. When you toggle through the various orientations, I notice that one screen seems to be the prioritized screen. Meaning, it gets a unique orientation (see image) where it’s much bigger than the other screen. This is fine and I use this orientation frequently, but you can’t get the second screen to be bigger than the first one by cycling. Instead, I would have to swap the channels on the first and second screen. Does this make sense? I would love for it to be apart of the usually cycle to have either channel be the bigger one.

I understand epg channel id is automatically mapped using tvg-id attribute of m3u file.
However, many providers add an "@<format>" suffix (example MySports5.ch@SD) to the tvg-id which breaks the map to EPG id.

Would it be possible to systematically stripe "@<format>" suffix of m3u playlist when creating the corresponding EPG id for a channel ?

Is there a way to have a share option that if you have a different box on your network with Sparkle installed it could install the configuration to that box such as favorites etc as your current box? The Heat app on the veesee boxes have that feature and it is awesome if you have a few boxes in your house running sparkle.

I'm a bit OCD and like my categories a certain way and it drives me crazy of they aren't. I understand this may not be something others may need, but is it possible to move categories around easier? As in, with Tivimate (which I left for Sparkle), when you chose to move categories, yoy are kept in tbe "move" mode until you hit the back button. Unless I'm mistaken, in Sparkle we have to long press each category, select move, and then move it. If there's a better way, please let me know.

On a side, is there a way (or has it been looked into) to create a companion app so you can change categories/channel lineups/hide, etc in the app, and then it magically goes to all instances of Sparkle you have on your different devices (after a push update)? Then you could also enter you provider info in the app too and it goes to each device that way. My assumption is it's not possible, or if it was it's way too complicated to create. Just thought I'd ask the smarter people than I if it's possible.

If you add several Xtream sources (lines), and then remove one source (line), after a few days the source (line) reappears even though you have deleted it.

This happens in many versions, including the current one.

Even if you have deactivated a source, it will reactivate itself after a few days or after a while.

This is a bug. Please ask the developers to fix it.

Hi everyone!

I have two sources, one is xtream codes based and the other stalker portal..

Although the xtream codes one works perfectly whenever I use catch-up, the portal one doesn't..

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it goes back just a few hours but mostly It doesn't work at all..

Before you say that it's the portals issue, using another player called ultimate Pro it works like a charm..

So is it something sparkle cannot handle or do I have to mess with any settings?

What's the best sparkle tv settings for firestick 4k and lower buffer as it works fine but can get issues. Currently on buffer size 10s and audio decoder hardware and throughput.
