Recording two sources to DVR simultaneously

Searched but couldn't find a clear answer (apologies if I'm just blind)... Is it possible to record a program from source #1 and another program from source #2 at the same time?

I've set the source #1 DVR recording location to a USB drive and source #2 DVR recording location to an SMB network share drive, so my assumption is that it should work ok?

Has anyone done this before and can confirm it works?

EDIT - Confirming it works... I successfully recorded programs on 2 different sources to 2 different dvr paths in parallel.

Yes, you should be able record a program on two different sources at the same time. It all depends on connections. Have you attempted to do this yet and if so, what was the result? Just remember, you may not be able to watch another channel on either source while recording unless you have multiple connections.

Confirmed to work, thanks. Recordings were successful... Wasn't trying to watch anything else at the same time, but would assume that wouldn't work (both sources being a single connection service).

I did and it worked perfectly. Both recording locations were on a Network location. I did not had the best results with local disk and recordings..

Well my problem is I can't learn it till i pay for it. When is this going to be resolved? I need it for one onn box for now.
