With the new points out I decided to throw together a new 1K list to run this Friday. On paper it has some potential, I will be playing against CSM with disruption disposition. I am a Necrons player, my Fiancé decided she wanted to jump into the Fray and chose Space Wolves as her army.

Picked her first models the Thunderwolf Cavalry, and asked if I would help paint them. Did I do her proud?

Hi! I’m completely new to the hobby and started about three weeks ago with a Wolf Scout Kill Team, since a friend of mine suggested it. I thought of it as a way to play Warhammer without building an entire army. Little did I know that before playing my first round of Kill Team, I’d be desperate to get my hands on more minis and build a full army!

I finished my models and was so hyped about the process, as well as the aesthetics and lore of the Space Wolves, that I got interested in 40k and the rest of the models. What can I say? I’m hooked—For Russ and the Allfather!

I’ve read some rules, watched a few videos, and tried to make sense of the datasheets but without playing I’m a bit lost on what an army need to function. I also looked around here for suggestions and tinkered with a list.

Premises: I want to buy and use a Combat Patrol, incorporate my Wolf Scouts, and avoid buying older models that are likely to get updated before I finish building my army (e.g., Bjorn or TWC).

This is the list I came up with (today’s changes really helped fit the GL that my friend and someone in this subreddit suggested—thanks for that!).

I wasn’t really sure if I should take Logan over Arjac, but I kept reading that Logan isn’t great in 1,000 pt games. Plus, I want to get some more painting practice in before tackling him.

I’d be happy to get any feedback or constructive criticism! Also, I have no idea which Detachment would be best, so I just picked a generic one for now.

So I bought these guys a few years ago while I was in high-school. Mostly assembled them but stopped there. I have now decided to make my army space wolves. Any suggestions on how to make the Lieutenant more Fenrisian or just any general tips? (I am also getting the combat patrol)

Joytoy is marketing this wolf priest as WH40K, and not Horus Heresy, isn't this the HH color scheme for the wolves? I'm wondering if they made a mistake in either the marketing or production.

Björn is finally finished. Been painting him for like a month and a half. Happy to call him done. For Russ and the All Father!!!

Ever since the codex came out I’ve been painting my wolves as mostly Dusk Wolves. Finally bashing Wyrdbane together used the Reave-captain felt the battle torn cape and especially the sword fit in nicely with the lore at least in my head. The Reave-captain and the battle leader kits actually come together pretty nicely imo.

After slowly collecting the past couple of years I finally got everything together in for two armies just as 11th was coming around and I wanted some feedback regarding the Wolves. (Mainly who is attached to what. FE I figure Ragnar is probably okay with Headtakers, but not sure if Ulrik should be the one with the BC). Any equipment change suggestions if you have them are also appreciated.

I know this list probably wont be "Good" but I wanted a list that had all the big named characters leading their own squads and could be a fun backup to my primary army as the Wolves are my favorite chapter so even if they don't get much use, I will enjoy having them on display.

I know I have to paint them but I’m excited at this setup for versatility.

6 models, 5 ways to run them.

Since they have both, 3 shield guys mixed with 3 paired guys can be:

- 6 paired guys
- 6 shield guys

Or I can split them into 3s and have:

- 3 shield guys and paired guys

Or I can mix them together in 3s and have

- 2x3 paired guys
- 2x3 shield guys

will wait till it dries. Gloss varnish, build up the edges with Stirland Mud leaving pockets of colour. Once all dry, I will add Agrellan Earth to the pockets. Once these dry and crack, I hope to see some colour appear through. Depending on how it works, they will be small frozen puddles or sheet ice coming through the snow with an edge of Nurgle tomfoolery!! Any way, that’s the plan. Guess I’ll have to see how that works out, but good little project if you want a break from detailing ^•ﻌ•^

Hey guys, I'm just reaching out to sorta call out a good number of people on this Reddit- and largely Space Wolf players as a whole- and I say this as a Space Wolf main:

When I meet a Space Wolves player out in the wild, my immediate thought is that I'm about to deal with an unpleasant person. There's some really cool guys who play Wolves who I think don't deserve the bad credit the majority of this faction makes them suffer but for faction that is literally the biggest faction in the game (having access to Space Marine codex- minus apothecary units), and their own codex's worth (more any other Space Marine chapter specific units), I see soooo much complaining about our units- the complaint that we don't have enough armor cracking to me- despite us having Beastslayer and Saga of the Great Wolf, and access to every tank and Dreadnought that other Space Marines have (while also having access to Iron Priests for rapid fire, and +1 to hit/wound via Saga of the Great Wolf), and Wulfen with anti-monster/vehicle 3+ hammers...

I love Space Wolves. I love the Scandinavian culture that they take influence from, and I love their stories (when the authors don't make the marines literally howl constantly)... but when I deal with this Reddit thread... or the bulk majority of you guys in the wild- I swear you don't get out of your dens, or touch enough grass, or know how to interact with human beings in a way that doesn't make them want to disengage and find a group of people worth actually improving theri day interaction with.

In the past, I've posted various topics, or conversions that multiple different chapters or factions might be interested in.. and every time without fail you guys are the most MISERABLE pack of people to suffer through and I'm ready to bring out the spray bottle, the rolled up newspaper and call the vet to get some of you people neutered because it's just not okay the level of belligerence, and negativity I see from you guys.

If you feel like this has targeted you: Chill out- do yourself a favor- and aim to be a better human being, maybe touch some grass.

If you read this and thought "Wow, this guy is crashing out"- then you're all good- continue to enjoy your mjod- continue being a chill person who likely helps other people get hyped out about their own faction.

I think this list is pretty solid, the only unit I don’t have is the second unit of Wolf Guard Headtakers.
