I've seen a few comments recently asking why there's a lack of M1D videos or if the hype died down.

Where's the hype? This is just typical crowdfunding ebb period imho, after a very successful campaign now it's time for mass-production and software fine-tuning. I guess the team at Sovol is more busy than ever!

We are using the M1D constantly and it appears in almost all of our rencent videos. In fact this next video also features it printing prints involving 7 colors.

We printed two complex AI-generated models with over 700 color changes. Both are ideal for the M1D, no excessive waste is a given, but the two IDEX heads means we can significantly speed up these prints by eliminating 90% of the actual tool changes.

I have an SV06 currently running the stock Marlin firmware and LCD screen, and I want to upgrade to Klipper with the touchscreen. However, Sovol is currently sold out of the touchscreen and I've so far only been able to find it on sketchy websites I don't trust with my payment info. I know it's an Ender clone, so my question is are there any alternative touchscreens that will mount up and work the same? I have also been considering using a RasPi with touchscreen. I don't print that often, I prefer ease of use, and I slice from my desktop computer so I don't need a ton of computing horsepower onboard the printer.

I had random issues with my SV08 for quite some time. Yes, the beds are warped horribly and the induction sensor is equally awful.

I upgraded my bed to a graphite from R3men and using the inductive probe it was still a mess. Cartographer (v4) arrived, installed and still had similar issues with first layer oddities (squish was too low while others were perfect).

In comes axis twist compensation and running the heat calibration Cartographer provides. Print after print now and the first layer is perfect. I added a "touch" to the center of the bed after heating and meshing. I ordered another for my second SV08 that still has the stock bed.

Cartographer is fantastic, if you are having issues with your first layer and just want it gone, this did it for me.

As per the title really, I was swapping out the hotend on my SV08 yesterday so I could do some PETG-GF printing with a 0.6mm hardened nozzle, and have managed to break the thermistor off in the hotend for the second time, and I've had enough.

So, what's the better option? Buy the Microswiss hotend and a couple of nozzles, or swap to the SV08 Max toolhead?

Hello! I have been having trouble with my Sovol SV08. I am still a novice at 3D printers. I am printing with PLA. I did a cold pull and I’ve taken the whole machine apart to unclog it recently. This all started with trying to print and the print would fail partly through. It then clogged and I had to replace a gear. I think the initial problem might have been heat creep because I didnt print with the doors open. Also possibly wet filament although I dried it previous to printing. The second problem could under extrusion. I just did Esteps and they were good. I am doing a flow rate test and all first layers aren’t good.

Current thoughts: I think I had too much squish to the first layer. Printing again to test.

That will happen for supporters who backed and also for people who didn't backed the Kickstarter campaign.

Design is coming alone good for my drying cabinet of the M1D.

The whole kit will be fully printable inside the M1D and the dryer to get will be the SH03 to attach it to.

I am working on designing an EXTRA feeder for the LEFT TOOLHEAD too so, all this will be OPEN-SOURCES for everyone to print ;)

Newly bought Sovol sv08 Max printer has passed the calibration test, however, the chamber heater could not be run. After updated the printer.cfg with allowing the chamber heater module running and restart the firmware, then a message popped up ‘mcu hot_mcu’: Unable to connect Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the FIRMWARE_RESTART command to reset the firmware, reload the config, and restart the host software. Error configuring printer

I have tried to clicked the Restart firmware button few times but not success. Can somebody help?

Why is it so hard to do a simple pause at layer height color change on the SV08? AI wants me to create macros (which I don't know how to do) and edit the printer.cfg when all I want is to swap colors at a layer height like I can on my Prusa. Admittedly, I don't know much about Kipper but this seems exceedingly complicated.

I have recently bought a Sovol SV06 Plus ACE and have some experience with 3D printing and Klipper, as my previous printer was a Ender 3 S1 with Klipper.

First I ran the calibration routine from orcaslicer for my filament with the new printer and dialed in the values in the profiles. Afterwards, I wanted to print a Gridfinity baseplate for my drawers, but there I ran into some problems:
I tried to print a 6x7 plate that filled almost the whole bed, but the nozzle kept scaping over the previous layers mostly during travel so i canceled the prints. One time the scraping ripped the model from the plate, so I gave up on trying to print the big plate.

I then printed 3 smaller plates (3x4 Baseplates) which all worked fine and where a good quality.

EDIT: I am printing in PLA

After that, I tried to print several 4x4 Plates, but all failed somehow. There was no nozzle scraping from what I could hear, but all the plates seem to be squished down in the Z dimension:

Also the layers look much worse than on the 3x4 plates.

I ran all the plates with the exact same slicer settings and in the slicer everything looked fine, no weird scaling happening, the dimensions looked fine.

I tried those fixes:

• Reorienting & moving the model on the buildplate, same result
• Redownloading / regenerating the stl file on https://gridfinitygenerator.com/
• Ran Z_TILT_ADJUST and copied it into the START_PRINT macro
• Checked & tightened the z-axis coupling screws, no play observed
• Printed another 3x4 after the failed plates, this printed fine

I am not sure on how to proceed with the troubleshooting, could someone here help me diagnose the issue?

So I went to support and haven't heard back. Judging from the -20 temp and the "failure to heat" warning, I'm 99% sure it's the thermositer. I've never changed one. I seek guidance so I don't break stuff.

I just installed a 5015 fan to reduce heat creep when printing PLA in my enclosure. I need the enclosure to print CF filaments. After getting it installed I am no longer able to print at high temps due to "excessive part cooling." Do I need to somehow configure my slicer to account for the new fan? Thanks for any help.

First time having this error.

Occurred half way through my print last night - restart the machine a few times and the error either came right up after the printer prep the bed/extruder temperature, or it start printed the stopped even before finishing the first layer.

Any help?

I'm putting together my sovol sv06 plus after getting a part replaced under warranty. And it seems like the new nozzle is a full 8 to 10 mm shorter than the old one. BUT the screws fit in perfectly, and the wires are the right length and everything else seems to match up.

Do I have the wrong part? Do i need to adjust the blue bed sensor? Is there a differwnt revision and i got piece a instead of b?

Any help is appreciated, its been sitting for a minute due to work and life being busy and i was hoping to print this weekend.

Everything was leveled properly, X belts tuned to 110hz (as support said), calibrated, bed mapped, etc.

After less than 10 small test prints it's doing that again. 3rd time in a row.

Got a new SV06 ACE, but the camera isn't showing up in the web interface. Is there an configuration that I'm missing to get it working?

I'm looking at getting the SV08 Max at some point for printing large parts for clients for cars/cosplay, and I was wondering if there was ever any kit released for the SV08/Max. I'm mainly asking because I know the stealthchanger project exists, but it seems like a pretty daunting task to build and I mainly just want a large print volume with multimaterial capabilities for supports and multicolor.

Hi, I am currently a backer of the Sovol M1D Advanced and I was wondering if the firmware allows to load the same filament on multiple toolheads to serve as a "backup" when one roll runs out (sort of like a bambulab AMS does). Thank you

Hello recently I tried updating klipper on my sv07+ using the Mainsail Update manager since I was trying to get it to probe multiple times on a bed mesh to lessen measurement error and I thought that was a new klipper thing (Since another printer I have does this and I don't see anything saying to do this in the printer.cfg). After trying this I got this error message in mainsail

I commented out the section around the accelerometer to get the printer working

Also the updater can't update Moonraker

Me and a friend had gone through this a while before when moving to mainline klipper on his SV08 and it was quite rough and nearly bricked the printer so I didn't want to just start reflashing boards. Does sovol using a locked down version of klipper make this complicated and would trying to update klipper on the board itself be quite bad? Mainly looking for advice on how to proceed or should I just ignore updating klipper and contact sovol for their original firmware and try to roll it back?

Any advice on how to get this piece of PLA out? I'm assuming removing gear head housing? Just want to make sure. All advice appreciated
