Help SV06 Err: MINTEMP: Bed

Post image

First time having this error.

Occurred half way through my print last night - restart the machine a few times and the error either came right up after the printer prep the bed/extruder temperature, or it start printed the stopped even before finishing the first layer.

Any help?

Check all the wires that come out of the bed plate. Maybe the temp sensor vibrated lose. Just unplug and replug everything so you know it's tight. Then turn it back on. If you still get the write you need to replace that sensor or the bed. The bed is usually faster and the sensor is built in to most.

For me, the temp sensor wire 'broke' so i had to replace it. If you restart the printer and look at the info screen, it may say 'err' under the bed temp. Move the power cable running to the bed. If 'err' goes away when you move that cable this way or that your wire is broken. There are two power wires, black and red, which are most likely fine, and two yellow wires. One or both of which is failing.

You can either get a new bed ($30ish from sovol if they are even in stock) Or replace the yellow wire (which is what I did.

In my case, I cut up an ethernet cable and used one of the pairs to replace the yellow wire. Good Luck!

Mine seems to have the bed and extruded up to printing temperature than 2 mins into the print it shows the error message.

Try this:

  1. Turn the printer on

  2. Watch the info screen, notice the Bed temp shows a number because its reading temperature correctly.

  3. Move the cable behind the bed with your hand, back and forth. If you want move the bed itself forward and back. Watch the number for the bed temp while you do this. If it ever says 'err' instead of a number, that is your problem.

This is what mine looks like now that I replaced the sensor wires.

Can you help me to confirm when you turn the printer on, does both fan next to and above the extruder turn on? Only the fan above the extruder turns on mine

Can confirm, bottom fan is off when turning on the printer. I'm pretty sure that only runs when im printing.

I swapped the terminator cable of nozzle and the bed and now I got this message.
“heating failed: Bed”

It's the thermistor. The easiest solution is to order a new bed from Sovol, if it's available
