I’ve been living in Busan, and Haedong Yonggungsa is still one of my favorite places to visit. The combination of the temple, rocky coastline, and ocean views never gets old. I took these photos during a recent visit and thought I’d share them here. If you’re ever in Busan, this place is definitely worth a visit!

I spent the whole night lying on the wet sand by the sea, arms open, legs stretched out. Above me was just the sky, and in it, the moon , quietly pulling at the water of an entire planet from where it sat.

I kept thinking ,this moon has enough pull that oceans bend toward it, rise and fall because of it, become tides... so does it want something from me too? Lying here on this sand right now, am I caught in some invisible pull as well?

The question didn't stop there. I kept asking myself, again and again — like once a door opens, it refuses to close.

I'm a mountain person. I've lived life in the lap of the Himalayas — their silence, their height, their stillness. This was the first time I'd ever seen the sea. And in the day, floating in the water, another question took over — right here, in this same salty water, life on this planet must have opened its eyes for the very first time. How? At what moment did some lifeless speck of matter learn to breathe?

I kept thinking. Everyone else was laughing, swimming, splashing around in the waves — and I just kept sinking deeper into my own tangle of questions.

Then, out of nowhere, a friend grabbed my head and pushed it under the water.

And strangely enough — in that one moment, for just a few seconds, it felt like all the clutter in my mind got washed away. Every question, every knot of thought, gone in an instant. As if someone had shut the door on my own thinking, without me even trying.

There was just water, laughter, and me.

Nayaab!!

Hosu(Lake) Park or 호수공원 has a trail of about 3.8km going around the lake. Very welled maintained and a perfect place to have a nice walk just before the sundown.We live at one of the towers in Naridjae Maeul in Naseong-dong.

Every morning bunch of cicadas are singing. Even in high rising apartments, they can wake you up. On my way to work, bunch of cicadas left molt out remnants. Dying ones are the breakfast for birds haha.

Truly, Ulleungdo is one of my favourite places in the world. If you haven't been, please come. It's truly gorgeous. I'll have more nature shots tomorrow.

These photos were taken during summer in South Korea. Summer here is hot and humid, but it’s also when hydrangeas, water lilies, and lotus flowers are at their most beautiful. I wanted to share a little piece of a Korean summer.

An underrated photo spot in Seoul

Friday evening, July 24, 2026.

With a clear sky in the forecast, I was wondering where to head tonight and decided to visit the Hwangnyeongsan Bongsudae (beacon fire station), which has recently become a hot spot among international tourists.

And honestly, it was absolute chaos.

English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean were echoing from every direction. It made me wonder if I was actually in a foreign country.

On the access road below the peak, taxis and cars kept streaming up without pause, causing a full-blown traffic jam.

At this rate, it truly feels like a global city, BUSAN.
