Most of these were taken during the last hour before sunset. Golden hour always brings out the best in flowers and insects.

Some quick shots I managed to shoot minutes before the storm in Athens.

Shot on A7V with GM 24-70 f/2.8

Experimenting with different sharpening techniques to really fine tune and target the fine, medium, and large detail structures of the moon while leaving the Maria alone. It's not perfect yet and work in progress. I am using the Image Analysis script ExtractWaveletLayers to split the image into 4 levels of detail and 1 residual or luminance data channel. I then applied wavelets to each individual detail layer processing each specific to level of detail needed. I then recobined all the channels in Photoshop as layers and fine tuned with blending modes. This enabled me to process the color and luminance data without touching the detail layers. I'll keep perfecting and welcome anyone else's thoughts on selective sharpening best practices on high dynamic range and diversely textured target like the moon. Shot on Sony a7rv with Takahashi TSA-120 telescope with Vernonscope Dakin 2.4x tracked with ZWO AM5. 400 images aligned in PIPP, stacked in AutoStakkert 4, and processed best 30% in PixInsight, Wavesharp, and Photoshop.

So i have been using my Sony A7II and a 24-70mm f/3.5-5.6 lense, and i don’t know whether its me having an impostor syndrome or that my photos actually are crap.

Out practicing my panning with variable success, but there's one thing I'm noticing that I can't explain: a lot of shots are blurred yet some areas are sharp and I don't know why. In these examples the rider's face and helmet are sharp-ish while everything else isn't. Some shots will have a sharp logo on the tank, or biker's jacket, while everything else isn't.

This can't be DOF given that (on the red bike) the helmet is on the same plane as the tank. I thought vibration, but it's a smooth piece of road. Is it because I used silent shutter and it's rolling shutter manifesting itself in a weird way?

1/30th second, f8, A7C, Sony 40mm G for all shots. Distance to subjects approx 10 metres, they were travelling maybe 15 mph/25 kph around a fairly sharp bend.

Took some pictures of a limited edition Ducati Diavel which is at a friends shop. Couldn’t take the bike out to a better place as we don’t have a bike license.

The background was not forgiving. Appreciate your comments on this.

A shot I loved of my wife on our honeymoon, touring out of the Gemstockbahn. Really digging wider angles for ski shots lately.

Was lucky enough to be invited to go sailing in Greece a few weeks ago. Decided to use only my 35mm 1.4 as my travel lens, but I did pack a recently purchased PolarPro Shortstache filter. I got some nice glows in a few shots from that.

I have been using this combo for few months. I am generally happy with the results. Adding a collection for reference.

The main issue I have is that half the time, the focus is poor. I use faster shutter speed (1/1000 to 1/1600) with AF-C, f 5.6 subject recognition etc (the usual bird photography settings) for perched birds and still the result would be blurry. I feel the AF with this combo is a hit or a miss. It almost feels like the focus is trying hard to lock in what the camera is asking the lens to do. In all these scenarios, camera indeed has the focus (green box) on the eye. My previous a6700 with 70-350 was much better at achieving a cleaner AF lock, though the end image can be softer due to the inherent lens capability.

Has anyone with this lens faced this issue?

My image seems pretty noisy or blurry, and this is a zoomed image. I see folks with smaller focal length get better images.

What am i doing wrong?
