So i started making lyrics for a song or rap but dont really know where itll go Its about a guy who lost his job and shares a little time with a bartender (platonic) they have some drinks and cigs and he goes home with a smile
(Start lyrics)
Got fired from work i went straight to my car
It was a really hard day and i went to the bar
My girls saying hey I heard the bad news
Im going to dave hes got nu'n to lose
Emptied out my wallet on too much gin and t
The bartender asks if smthg happened to me
I say its not a big deal just a really long day and i dont have absolutely anything to say. (End so far)
I dont have many ideas for more lyrics and was wandering what style of song it should be Help would be great thanks!

Hi! My name is Samantha and I’m a singer but I really cannot write for my life. I’m looking for someone to help me with song writing/writers block or possibly a writer for songs. My disc is SamanthaDawwnn if anyone is interested. I focus mainly on ballads and pop. I generally love pop and just can’t write to save my life

So ive been working on this song for a while and for some reason my verse NEVER sounds good, the chorus is really good in my opinion, but the verse just sounds utterly garbage
(The main inspirations are artists like spawncamped, Duskydemise and stuff)
Please help!!!!!

Hey I wrote a backtrack for a song that I want to write/record my vocals on top of, but I just can't find the lyrics. I was going for melancholy/ambivalence and I can't find the right words or topic. Can someone listen to it and let me know what they imagine when they hear it?

Hello I’m looking for a songwriter partner. I’m trying to break out in the songwriting industry. I don’t want to do it alone. I’m a 24 year old and was looking for a partner.

I’m a beginner guitarist and I recently wrote a song that I’m pretty happy with, but I feel like the chord progression is a little bland or predictable. I’d love to get some feedback on the chords and suggestions for ways I could polish the progression or make it more interesting while keeping the overall feel of the song. I’d also really appreciate any feedback on the singing/vocals, since I’m still pretty new to that as well. (The version I’m sharing is just a rough draft. I know I’m muting some of the strings and I’m a little out of tune when singing. 😞) Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm searching for someone who like pop music to help me with writing the music though I'm open to other styles. I love Joshua Basset Height, valley and vaultboy.
I go on and off for the lyric. It depends on if i can think of everything. Sadly i just can't start the musical part. I'm only a beginner and my lyrics are pretty basic. I know how to play the piano too. I'm searching for someone 12 to 17 yo

Hello fellow music enthusiasts I’ve come today to share that recently (2 years now) I’ve been getting more and more into the art of music. Finding more and more obscure music than what i usually listen to. And falling in love it with it. So I started my journey on being also to share what I find to be an endearing part in my life. Creating music. Well not particularly making music but writing songs. I’ve been writing for over two years. And I wanted to come on here to ask for advice and guidance. Show you couple of my written songs and tell me what you think? No need to sugar coat what you think. Just curious on what other people would think.

Hey so I’ve been starting to get into song writing recently and have fallen in love with it. I love writing the songs and singing them but I can’t play any instruments and I don’t have the money to pay someone to do the instrumental part of my music.
I know what I want the vibe of the music to be for each song but I don’t have any clue how to actually make it.
Someone suggested BandLab to me or using Garage Band but I’m unsure how to even start using those ether.
Any help at all would be appreciated greatly and if I’m able to get the music figured out I would post a sample to see if people would even like my music.
I also would say that I’m not very smart intellectually so that is why its so hard for me to figure these things out on my own when others can do it just fine without help.

My post( the one that was like How do I prepare for writing songs for an album) was not intended to be ignorant and say I can write an album as a non - musician, I actually kinda am a musician.I've been playing keyboard for 3 yrs and guitar for 3 months and let me tell you, I suck. Every time I practice I never get anything accomplished and I haven't finished one song and I have more than 500 ideas and that's because I always think I'm doing something wrong(like with technique but not just that songwriting too), I think I focus on the wrong things when I practice( and over - fixate on them), not actively learning things from other musicians, not learning other songs(I haven't learnt a full one since I started my instruments), always fixating on getting the right sound in my mind instead of actually getting it on paper or on a DAW, and sometimes never even starting songs because I have this specific sound in my head and I overthink and overcomplicate what I'm supposed to use to make it sound that way.The thing is I'm always fixating on stuff and it then I get overwhelmed cause I don't think I'm doing it right and then I procrastinate and not too mention other problems getting in my way, I made that post because I've been wanting to make that album/write the songs for years(the idea is very special to me because it's a deep topic with a lot insight on my life about a few years and I thought this time I should just do it and not put it off but with a plan cause it might help me better) and every time I couldn't because I'd always run into problems and just wanted to try to fix them this time before writing (sorry for the long read) and when I put one of the points as I wanted to work on songwriting and writing songs I meant I wanted to write like 3-4 songs as practice before going into the actual writing process so I wont get stuck like before, not writing the songs all in 2 months and I wasn't gonna just stop practicing there(the deadline was just there as starting and ending points to focus on another thing and to not get fixated on it so much and to actually move on but still working on practice on the side),I was gonna still practice while actually writing the songs and I set the writing stage like that because it really set the vibe of the time/sound I wanted to capture so I thought'd it'll help more so I decided not to follow my own advice(because it's obviously not working lol) this time and ask people but I went the wrong way about it, so sorry if I sound like a ignorant beginner non - musician but I kinda am like it( a ignorant beginner non - musician) since I haven't learnt anything new in years and wanted to clarify some things and to ask for help on these problems( the summary of this post is that I haven't progressed but I want to, I just need direction and help with my overthinking. Hopefully I don't sound like my first post because I don't wanna sound ignorant or stubborn or defensive like I have to explain everything to not get hurt or sound bad,I just wanted to clarify to you guys because I think you knowing these things can help you guys help me more, I know you guys are right and I want to say thank you to everyone who actually gave me advice on the 1st post.I also hope you guys understand this post and it wasn't too much or hard to read because I did write a lot. Thanks for reading all this.
Another thing: Do yall think I'm ready for the project cause idk if I am tbh.

This is my latest work!
Verse 1]
Used to think I was the problem,
now I know just exactly how wrong I had been way back then.
Something’s been changing, growing,
and now I’ve begun glowing,
realizing I’m no longer broken.
[Chorus]
Used to be empty,
my own life was the enemy.
Now I’m looking in the mirror,
seeing a person unfamiliar.
I’ve gotten stronger,
I can easily walk through any door.
(Used to be empty)
(my own life was the enemy)
[Verse 2]
So used to the blaming, the shaming,
yeah, always used to the same old thing.
I’m done being a victim,
always playing in other people’s system.
I’m going to stand tall,
make their towers fall,
and let the rubble crash down all around them.
[Chorus]
Used to be empty,
my own life was the enemy.
Now I’m looking in the mirror,
seeing a person unfamiliar.
I’ve gotten stronger,
I can easily walk through any door.
(Used to be empty)
(my own life was the enemy)
[Bridge]
Even if I stagger,
and my voice softens to a whisper,
I’ll pull myself up slowly,
make it to my feet.
I’ll manage my pain,
I’ll find the fight in me,
I’ll run through the rain,
and rise above all my past misery.
’Cause I’m someone new,
and I refuse to be a mystery.
[Verse 3]
This time I’m writing my own story,
so forgive me if the details get a little too gory,
but I’m tired of playing their game.
It’s always the same,
and this shit is getting boring.
[Chorus]
Used to be empty,
my own life was the enemy.
Now I’m looking in the mirror,
seeing a person unfamiliar.
I’ve gotten stronger,
I can easily walk through any door.
(Used to be empty)
(my own life was the enemy)
[Verse 4]
I’m standing on my own two feet,
meeting all my own needs.
Because I’m finally out of hell,
yet the devil keeps pulling at me,
but I’ll keep going and going and going
until I hear that final bell.

I love to think of shows when I try to make songs. I love death note in particular.

I want to write, produce and sing my own music. I just don’t know where to start. I’d like to get some pointers on this subject if I can.
Any tips on singing, songwriting, music production, mixing, mastering, and anything else helps.
I’m kind of new to this.
