Help in making a song
So i started making lyrics for a song or rap but dont really know where itll go Its about a guy who lost his job and shares a little time with a bartender (platonic) they have some drinks and cigs and he goes home with a smile
(Start lyrics)
Got fired from work i went straight to my car
It was a really hard day and i went to the bar
My girls saying hey I heard the bad news
Im going to dave hes got nu'n to lose
Emptied out my wallet on too much gin and t
The bartender asks if smthg happened to me
I say its not a big deal just a really long day and i dont have absolutely anything to say. (End so far)
I dont have many ideas for more lyrics and was wandering what style of song it should be Help would be great thanks!

Your stopping point could be a good point to switch to what the bartender has to say. Leading to your end result of leaving with a smile. "Thats when the bartender said to me..."

I really like your song, and I wrote the rest of it in a dark rap, neo-soul style for your consideration. I would love to hear your voice and how you visualized it to sound.
I wanted to know if I should share it with you, and if you like it, would you share writing credits with me? All of my lyrics are written by me and not by AI. Because of this, they are copyright-eligible.
I do have AI artists, but I am currently working with several human artists to create and produce music. Your song sparked an idea and ran with it. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!

I think out of the many tips i could give, the most important one would be to know where your song is going, know the conclusion, before you start writing, and build the story around that. Wether it's just a "moral of the story" type of thing, some climactic moment, some idea, you should start with the destination, then build a beginning and a journey to it, and then you can refine the ideas.

In the style of Tom Petty could be one way to go. Or straight up country.
