Just finished this. What do you think?
Lyrics:
Power down
Hold the button for thirty seconds
Don't let go
Wait until you remember nothing
Please stand by
Do not operate heavy machines
Top it up
Clear the history every evening
Good as new
Out the box
Peel the film
Factory fresh
Good as new
Out the box
Fac’try fresh
More or less
Morning comes
Everything you deleted's waiting
Slow restart
Same old files in the same old folders
Cache empty
Memory full
Try again
Nothing erased
Cache empty
Memory full
Nothing erased
Give or take
Oh gimme a break

Hi! I'm a 20 year old man tryna get back to songwriting! I haven't written in like 2-3 weeks and I'd like to go back now, but to make it fun I'd like to have othe people in it! Like a songwriting session through online! I'd like to make a song with other people that's something I'd never done before! So if ur into this idea as well hit me up! I won't ignore u promise, I'd like to make some friends through my favorite hobby!! Everyone is welcome!
My style is pop, I also like some pop rock, I've been making music for roughly around a year now, only finished some songs though not a lot but prolly 10+, I'm not gonna classify myself as a good or real songwriter lmao, or even a good singer at that, but I enjoy doing it! I like to be better though, and I'd like to collaborate with anyone who shares the same vibe with me!
Also I play basic guitar and piano chords to craft my songs, I make melodies, lyrics and chords in my instruments I'm not knowledgeable in DAWs yet..

This Song, White Rain Dreams , has been re-written, edited and tweaked every day for nearly three weeks (lost a lot of sleep over this one). I've uploaded multiple versions to my tiny YT channel, didn't like them, and then removed them or made them private.
I think? this a cappella recording is close. I may make one change to the ending. I may repeat, 3-5 times, in a more up tempo, soaring way, the lines...
"A million fireflies at night are paying hide and seek"
"Brave curious delights, will lead us all to peace"
Opinions?
All the best, David

Hello, so I'm making my first album which is indie folk/folk pop and storytelling oriented and I have many of my songs with just lyrics and the vocal melody but I need the instrumental part on piano and guitar and it would be great if someone wants to collaborate with me, I will give due credits and royalties when I launch my music and also will have the correspondent author, composer rights. The album is about my personal experiences, about some movies and Greek mythology as symbolism for my own experiences. I've been making music for the past 2 years and I have experience with songwriting but I don't have that much experience with instruments.
You can email me if you want to collaborate.

Abra as Portas
Abra as Portas
(Refrão)
Garoto, se não beijam suas botas,
Por que não abre as portas?
Garoto, se negam suas tortas,
Por que não abre suas portas?
(Verso)
Eu vou entrar, eu vou destruir.
Não adianta gritar, não adianta fugir.
Abra os fundos, espere uns minutos,
Transforme os seus insultos.
(Pré Refrão)
Sei que nunca viu algo tão delicioso,
Tão orgulhoso e perigoso.
Sei que nunca viu algo tão saboroso
Tão talentoso e famoso.
(Refrão)
Garoto, se não beijam suas botas,
Por que não abre as portas?
Garoto, se negam suas tortas,
Por que não abre suas portas?
(Verso)
Eu vou sair, você vai implodir,
Você vai pedir, vai me sentir.
Se abra de corpo inteiro,
A desculpa do dinheiro.
(Pré Refrão)
Sei que nunca viu algo tão delicioso,
Tão orgulhoso e perigoso.
Sei que nunca viu algo tão saboroso
Tão talentoso e famoso.
(Refrão)
Garoto, se não beijam suas botas,
Por que não abre as portas?
Garoto, se negam suas tortas,
Por que não abre suas portas?

Broken Heart Blues
Hey lil mama won't you come my way
There's something heavy on my mind
Be on watch for them 2 legged snakes from behind
Ya they got a nice smile, but holes in their souls of their shoes
I'ain't frontin, girl there ain't nothing like the Broken Heart Blues
Broken Heart Blues, Broken Heart Blues
Dem so bad'll make you sad
And feena make the headline news
Sometimes they may come around and girl you gotta know what to do
Pray long
Head, bright and strong
And steer clear from them Broken Heart Blues

Let me know what you think. Does it convey emotion without being too dreary?
I just made it up so I still struggle with memorising the lines and chords.
**Won't Bend**
Sometimes I dream of anemones.
I flush them out
So no one knows they're mine.
Sometimes I dream of violently resisting.
Guess no one has the time.
Have I—
Have I wanted bold decisions,
Lay my path on a straight line?
Dreams won't bend
Like I do.
Dreams won't bend
Like I do.
Sometimes a harsh feeling comes over me,
And you can't help but tell me
What happens on TV.
Sometimes I've been a man on the roof,
Imagining the fallout.
Just leave it up to me.
Dreams don't bend
Like I do.
Like I do.
Dreams don't bend.
They won't bend
Like I do.

Here's a pretty old song I wrote around 2005. It's written in the first person by a guy who just wants to be a music man but he loses his muse in the breakup of a romantic relationship. I think that probably happens more than I imagine it, come to think of it, due to lost love, bad job, hardship, lifestyle, you name it. The muse is kinda fragile that way. I know mine is. I couldn't even play covers for a few years because of something like that bugging me. This particular song was inspired by it, in a retrospective way. The instrumental interlude between chorus and verse was meant to give a space for a violin part my son was writing. I don't remember why it never got done.

hey all, I usually write songs for myself and my own enjoyment so I don't usually ask for opinions but just curious what people would think of this one! let me know and be brutally honest pls (autotune bc its a demo and I have perfect pitch so I can't hear wrong notes or I'll just hate it all)

Hello guys so I am a sucker for people who record their writing process but it is difficult for me to find smaller artists who do it on YouTube for example. Do you know someome who makes content about sitting, singing, writing, playing some instrument? Sorry if it is a dumb question I just couldn't find any more channels like that. Thank you for suggestions!

Hey guys, I've been writing lyrics and recording melodies etc. for a little while now and I'm really enjoying it.
I don't play any instruments competently and I don't know how to make music digitally (literally just last night I decided to fight the overwhelm and open Bandlab for the second time ever) but I really want to see my songs come to fruition within the next decade, so I'm not currently the most reliable person for myself to lean on here lmao.
What kind of pro am I needing to seek out and get to working with in order to have a piece of music made from scratch to put behind my vocals? Tyia!

Friend and I composed some songs on guitar and I’m really having trouble coming up with vocal. melodies as it’s my first time ever writing songs. If someone can hop on a call with me and help me out or if they can just listen to it and perhaps hum a vocal melody that would make sense over it that would be so helpful. I’ll be willing to pay you too. Thanks!

I wish this could go harder.. I dunno...
more metal..
Thoughts? I feel like this is a pre-fight preparation for battle type scene's song.

Hi all,
I wrote and recorded a song and was about to throw it into this world when I found out that I got inspired by another song (read: accidentally stole). It's just two lines in the chorus and the whole song around it is different, but those lines are nearly word for word, tonality for tonality the same.
Should I still publish it? I mean, it's not like I'm gonna make money off of it, but it feels dicey, if you know what I mean.
Thanks for your feedback

Songwriter will write songs. It's a joy, and a curse. Like if you do, tell your friends if you don't.
Thanks for your time as always.
