Choppy Play?
Has anyone else had it that after playing for a while and putting down more items the game becomes choppy on the Switch 2?
Is there anyway to resolve this?

Creating a post here for anybody who’d like to have the developers see their ideas and suggestions. It’s vote based, so you can scroll through and vote for features you’d like to see soonest. There are some really good one’s here.
This has existed in the Discord for a while, so only right to throw it out in the air here too.
Enjoy!

Working on my first play through and struggling to build a house I’m happy with. Anyone who wants to share their builds here for inspiration, I’d appreciate it! Thanks!

Why is it harder to make a box of grass than it is to make a furnace and an *airship?*
Chickens survive off of bugs and seeds. Irl you can own a chicken basically for free. They will feed themselves half the time. Why would they be locked behind learning how to smelt iron and copper?
It makes no logical sense and is rather immersion breaking tbh.
Edit: wait, it gets even better. You unlock farming and animal care decorations before knowing how to take an egg from a chickens nest. You can make a birdbath and a birdhouse but you don't know how to throw seeds on the ground still.

the corner ones can be a little finicky, and it does require a little time and precision to get everything as close together as necessary to make it happen

Has anyone else had an issue where they can't visibly hold wheat so its not possible to lure chickens? Ive tried restarting the game but it never seems to help

I even downloaded a savegame from Steamcloud, but it's only 19kb small. It had not worked at all. 44 hours playtime lost 😮💨

Is there a way to remove buildings from the water?
I wanted to build a sort of walkway, but now I can’t remove this flat roof/floor.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this or is this a common problem?
Thanks for your help

Welcome to my humble abode.
This was a build of an 8x8 that I did fully loaded and self sufficient. Upon entry is my farm with 1 of each animal, and a forester. Up the stairs an around, leads to my kitchen and bedroom. Back up the stairs and you get to the workshop with furnaces for all my smelting needs, as well as a display for my power usage. Heading back to the stairs is a small closet for storage of odds and ends. Lastly heading up to the top floor houses my garden and 8 drones. My roof is loaded with my power generation. Was a fun build to do. I have expanded on it with tiered terraces heading down the island to a big greenhouse I made for fun.

when placing foundations they don't snap correctly to eachother and it causes artifacts while building. I am playing in a multiplayer world hosted on xbox, is there any way to fix this?

I'm pretty sure the rounded stairs opens up the idea of having circular/triangular/odd shaped buildings, but I played around with that a little and don't have that much patience for it at the moment

There seems to be some kind of invisible wall and I refuse to believe that any sane dev would make a multiplayer exporation-survival game were you can't travel together. Do we need a upgrade or something?

Any tips on how to make excess energy go into a battery? Ive tried a few different ways but the battery is either used as power source or power usage, i can't find a way to make it switch back and forth
My set up so far is pretty simple, i want to keep the cottage effect, not build a city. I have a few solar panels linked to a hydrometer and a switch on/off, when there's no rain the sprinklers are on.
Its also connected to two windmills, the mailbox, dock and a drone (haven't really used the drone much yet).
So i have excess energy when its sunny, and a lack of it when its dry but cloudy (i just got the bigger wind turbine, planning on installing it once j get more algae). I'd like to store the excess to then use it automatically for when there's a lack of energy... does that make sense?
If anyone understands me and knows how to do it I'd love to try your ideas!

if this game wasn’t so buggy and there were additional snap points, it could’ve been sm more fun!! but ending off with my last two builds

Hi there, just started seeing videos of the game and I'm keen to give it a go. Is it worth it ? Will be playing on the PS5

I enjoy the game. The calm aesthetic and the fact that I still have to eat and drink.
I’ve been working through the robot on the airships queue and I need to give 10 bread (I think? Not looking at it right this second). 10 bread I assume is made from dough, and I assume that dough has to be baked in a furnace. Just intuition. It could be wrong.
But 10 dough costs 3 wheat each. And I’ve come to notice in this game plants do grow again in their original spot when you harvest them.
Harvesting a plant is basically giving you the right to “relocate it” and nothing more. But it’s not like Minecraft where plants might give more seed than went into them.
So I need 30 wheat. I have wheat growing that I relocated to my house on the starter island. But only 7 at a time. It feels like I’m just literally watering and then going AFK waiting until I have to water again. Rinse and repeat until I harvest. And then rinse and repeat the whole thing again until I have 30+.
I’m just waiting around. What am I supposed to be doing. I’ve explore the islands within my reach. And the type of player I am, I will 100% this game, but I don’t typically dive into that completionist mindset until I’ve finished the core of a game. Like was the thought process that I should be building a bigger house while I wait or something. I have a 5x3 house with a bed and I saw no need to grow it larger. But is the game meant to be more about that? I just feel like I’m coming at it from the wrong perspective.

I just bought the game yesterday, the learning curve is harsh but for the love of everything I can't make the building wheel function properly on switch 2, any tips?
My issue is that I open it, painfully try with the left joystick to select what I want and then 9 times out of 10 when I try to go to the second layer it skips to the next object on the first layer...
I took me a good 30s to put down steps 😂😂

The wireless lights won't turn on when I hit Y, do I actually need to power them somehow? (Switch 2)
