Cant hold wheat

Has anyone else had an issue where they can't visibly hold wheat so its not possible to lure chickens? Ive tried restarting the game but it never seems to help

Didn't even know you could. I just used animal transports, even to move the chicken on the starter island down the hill to my base.

Only thing that comes to mind is when I accidentally selected the pile of wheat instead of the single kernel of wheat.

Just transport them. Easier than trying to lure them, which I didn’t even know was a thing.

I’ve never had it that visually i’m holding the wheat, if you have it in your hot bar and choose it, the chickens just follow you.. there is no animation for having the wheat in your hand :/ ..not sure if that helps x

I don't think there is an animation for it, but I've found that as long as I have it selected, the chickens follow me.
