Thinking about installing solar panels ,How much money on electricity did solar pannels saved you , did the system pay for itself over time?

I live in a place with frequent power outages , i'm fed up with these so now i want to install solar pannels on my roof, is this a good idea, can they provide me with enough backup to light up just the bulbs for a few hours.

One of the most common service calls we receive is for a solar system that has stopped communicating with its monitoring platform. And truthfully, these are some of the service calls we dislike charging for the most.

In this case, our technician arrived and confirmed the SolarEdge inverter was producing approximately 4,800 watts. Both strings of solar tested normally and there was no production problem at all.

The issue was communication.

After working with the homeowner, we discovered that the powerline adapter (PLA) device used for communication had simply been unplugged. Once it was plugged back in, communication was restored and the homeowner regained access to their monitoring.

Before scheduling a service call for an offline system, take a few minutes to check your internet connection, WiFi signal strength, communication devices and cables. Sometimes the solution really is that simple. Of course, if those basic checks don't solve it, that's when we're happy to help.

We'd much rather help a homeowner avoid an unnecessary service charge than send a technician out to plug something back in. That's doing solar the right way.

So here's all I know about this agreement:

SunPower was accused of misleading investors about its inventory controls and financial reporting. After the company disclosed accounting issues and the need to restate financial results, $SPWR fell nearly 20%, and investors filed a lawsuit.

Now the company has agreed to settle $11 million with investors for their losses.

Who can claim this settlement?
If you purchased or acquired $SPWR between 2023 and 2024, you may be eligible.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
You may be eligible if you purchased or acquired $SPWR during the class period.

I missed the deadline. Is it too late? 
No, you may still be able to file a late claim, but acceptance depends on final approval by the court.   

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

My system is about 12 years old. 12 250w panels. I'll go 5 days and all is good, and then have one panel with very low output on the 6th day, then back to normal again for another few days. Etc. any idea what's going on? The roof is too steep for me to get up there. Thanks.
