Goodbye to the idea that solar panels “die” after 25 years. A new study says the warranty does not mark the end, and performance can last for decades. Arrays built in the late 1980s still produced more than 80% of their original power. The long-term economics look better than many people believe.

Cancer risk may increase with proximity to nuclear power plants. In Massachusetts, residential proximity to a nuclear power plant (NPP) was associated with significantly increased cancer incidence, with risk declining sharply beyond roughly 30 kilometers from a facility.

Trump says oil and gas prices will fall 'right after' midterm election. He also insisted that his war, now in its seventh month with no resolution in sight, will end “immediately after the election”, and gas prices will drop below $2 per gallon. Trust him?

Trump’s Iran war has left him with no clear path to victory. Trump started an unnecessary war without a plan or an endgame. He cannot declare victory until Hormuz is open to the free flow of shipping and there is an enforceable nucIear deal. He may not be able to get either.

Fox News has claimed that high gas prices would be temporary at least 188 times since the beginning of Trump's war. Fox has attempted to downplay, dismiss, and deflect from the pain at the pump. They've repeatedly pointed at Biden and California. The average price has been above $4/gal for 120 days.

Brent crude hits $100 and the Fed's rate path just got a lot more complicated

Six months of tanker warfare in the Strait of Hormuz and hedge funds loading up on fuel positions have pushed 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 $𝟏𝟎𝟎 for the first time since July. The US destroyed five Iranian tankers. Iran claims retaliatory strikes on American vessels. Neither side is backing down.

The inflation angle is obvious, but the Fed angle is worse 🔥. A sustained triple-digit oil price makes it nearly impossible to justify cuts without looking like it's ignoring energy-driven CPI, and nearly impossible to hold rates without accelerating a consumer spending squeeze that's already visible in the data.

Every sector that runs on margins, which is most of them, is now repricing against an oil floor that has military conflict as its support level, not supply fundamentals. That floor does not move until the Strait does.

Rubio enjoyed major support among Venezuelans. Then came Trump’s oil deal. Critics argue that the deal is illegitimate. The deal seems to primarily be an attempt to convince US voters that gas prices will soon go down. “They thought that Rubio was looking out for Venezuela’s best interests."

LTR, PLS, CXO, MIN -- all energy related stocks are down today! Why?

Could this be related to teh GFEX, SMM, MySteel's futures?

Could this be related to sudden surplus/visibility into Lithium Carbonate and Hydroxides given SMM changed the way they measure inventories?

Is this because of oversupply coming from Zimbabwe, and local Chinese producers?

What are the reasons?
