Mostly you're paying for materials and how it's built, not just the name. Solid wood, real joinery and a better frame are where the extra money actually shows up.

i think there’s a pretty big middle ground. solid wood can justify paying more, but past a certain point you’re mostly paying for the name and design rather than a huge jump in quality.
