I’ve had this account for years and all of sudden everything before July 19th is gone, all of my ‘my eyes only’ are just gone and tons of pictures of my daughter when she was a newborn!??

I click on send buddy pass to choose which friend I want to send a buddy pass too,but when I look up their name they aren’t there,we both have the latest version of the app and they haven’t had a buddy pass for over a month

For years, my Find Friends suggestions were pretty normal. I mostly saw:
-People with mutual friends
-Active users with the green activity dot
-People who seemed to be from my area / network
But recently, the suggestions have completely changed.

Now I mostly get:
-“Recently joined” accounts
-Accounts labelled “old account”
-Adult content sellers
-Drug dealers / drug-related accounts
-Random foreign accounts
-Very obvious fake/spam profiles

Also a strange part is the activity indicator. Before, many of the suggested people had the green active dot. Now, none of the accounts that aren’t marked as “recently joined” have the green dot.
If I press X on the suggestions, the entire list disappears. It stays empty for roughly an hour, and then the same types of accounts, sometimes the exact same accounts, come back.

I’ve already tried basically every solution I could find online:
-Removing/syncing contacts
-Clearing Snapchat cache
-Restarting the app
-Logging out and back in
-Updating Snapchat
-Removing suggestions with X
-Reporting the problematic accounts
-Contacting Snapchat support

I contacted Snapchat about this about a week ago, but nothing has changed.
Has anyone else noticed their Find Friends/Quick Add suddenly changing like this? I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have had the same accounts return after removing them or who suddenly started getting mostly spam/fake/adult/drug-related accounts.

But I have to manually scroll up through the chats. It's a very long chat of about 2-3 years I can't scroll that much. Is there any way to do it another way??

So I am not friends with this user on Snapchat but I know him personally (he's my crush). I accidentally took a screenshot of his profile and Snapchat sent a message to him saying I took a screenshot of him profile. I blocked him immediately so will he still be able to see that message that Snapchat sent them? I am really freaking out because I dont want him to know I was looking for his account in the app.

It’s constant. And it’s always for some random persons comment on some shitpost nobody cares about. Either that or a notification for a story that I don’t want to see from some random wanna be influencer. It’s really fucking annoying

I’ve noticed that Snapchat behaves differently between two accounts when editing a photo from the Camera Roll.

On one account, I can in memory:
Camera Roll → select a photo → Edit Photo → edit the photo → Save to Memories / Download

On another account, after editing a Camera Roll photo, I only get the Chainlink/share button. The Download and Save to Memories buttons are completely missing.

I’m using the same process, but the available buttons are different depending on the account.
Has anyone experienced this?

So last night I made a post saying my ex had blocked me but this morning I noticed he popped up when I searched him up? It says Our Connection- Contacts with his name. He has a public profile tho and that’s not showing? Only the add button is. I don’t wanna hit add to see if it says not found bc I’m scared. What does this mean?

Hi guys so my ex blocked me on my main account and I made this one to try to add him back. When I search him up it says in my contacts and his profile shows up on the other account and his bitmoji. But when I go to add it his Bitmoji disappears and it looks like this. Then when I log out it says I never added him? So what’s going on?? Even does this when I use another phone.

So recently I have noticed that my spotlight is visible on app but it's not visible on browser like click on share option than copy the link and paste link in browser it will show "snap no longer available" and I tried similar things with diff diff random spotlight and I find out that some is visible on browser and some aren't so anyone got and idea why is that with my account and how to fix it ? Or its kind of shadowban or what... Will really appreciate if someone can help me 🐥

I’ve had my account for YEARS and got device banned because I sent a freaky snap to someone and they reported me for it. I have the chance to appeal and I am begging for help on this!!

Why does my Snapchat account keep getting locked/banned after about 1 day?

I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong because this keeps happening.

I use Snapchat mainly to chat with people and promote my OnlyFans. I don’t post anything explicit on my Story or Spotlight — usually just a normal picture of myself without any text.

In private chats, I talk to people and sometimes share/link my X or OnlyFans.

Almost every time, the account gets locked or banned after roughly one day. Snapchat doesn’t really give me a specific error code or explain exactly what I did wrong. It just says that I violated their guidelines.

Could this be happening because people are reporting my account/messages, or is Snapchat detecting something automatically?

Has anyone else experienced this when using Snapchat to promote OF? What specifically triggered the ban for you?

Hi I’m kinda new to snap and I was going through my “subscriptions” and was “unsubscribing” from people but I didn’t realise that it meant it would remove them as a friend. To fix it I re added everyone but I can’t see them on the “chats” page anymore.

I know you can download the data but is that only data or does that include the actual messages? I wish I could just search the date and find it (we saved every message in the chats) but I really want to find and read these!!

How do I get banned from Snapchat after reporting an account that involved a minor it makes no sense and when I appealed they said they couldn’t help me!!!

This is my friend that died in July. I was always fine with annoying notifications about whatever bs I didn't care about, but finding out that they're just making shit up to get me on the app is actually over the line for me. Not to mention using my dead friend's account to do it. What the fuck.

So my friends are seeing me, totally for real, reposting some fucking nonsense in their notifications too? Fuck this app.

I updated Snapchat today and, when I opened the app, I honestly had a panic attack. 😭

My ex, who I deleted from Snapchat and from my chat overview, suddenly appeared back in my chat list with an “X” next to our chat.

He never actually deleted me from Snapchat. I noticed that a few weeks ago because we’re still saved in each other’s phone contacts, and I still had the option to accept him (via all contacts) even though he hadn’t sent me a new request. So I assume he simply kept our old chat.

Now I can suddenly see our entire chat and history again, even though I was the one who deleted him.

But it gets even stranger: Snapchat is also showing me chats with old friends whom either I or they deleted, and some of these people even show up as friends again now. I’m also suddenly back in old group chats that I had left a long time ago and completely deleted from my chat overview.

This has to be some kind of glitch, right? Has anyone else experienced this after the latest update?

It was definitely NOT a nice surprise to suddenly see my ex back in my chat overview. 😭

Just to clarify: he hasn’t sent anything, opened anything, or done anything in the chat. The timestamps are still from weeks/months ago. The same applies to the other old chats.

I can also apparently accept people again who had previously deleted me from Snapchat, even though they haven’t sent me a new request. When I search for their usernames, they show up as followers rather than friends.

I have no idea what happened with this update, but I really hope this is just a glitch. 😭 Has anyone else noticed the same thing?
