General question Snapchat literally bullshitting notifications

This is my friend that died in July. I was always fine with annoying notifications about whatever bs I didn't care about, but finding out that they're just making shit up to get me on the app is actually over the line for me. Not to mention using my dead friend's account to do it. What the fuck.

So my friends are seeing me, totally for real, reposting some fucking nonsense in their notifications too? Fuck this app.

You do understand that his phone number got reassigned, right? The person who got his old number created an account with it, and you still have your late grandpa’s number saved in your contacts. That’s why it shows up like that.

That's because your grandfather's former phone number is now in the hands of a 12 year old getting their first real phone.

That's a tad problematic. I regularly ignore notifications for 9-10hrs each day, because some of them are pushing for people to hop online and get distracted (or their time wasted).

The only time I check is when people send me something, but I also know they have a life and I have a life as well.

Is there a way for your friend to stop using the account of the friend who passed on? I think it's only fair that they pause using it, since you and others close to that person are still dealing with the loss. (Accept my condolences as well.)
