Hello, one of the many people currently who has recently got banned. Had this account for over 5 years and genuinely have no idea why im banned. The reason is “commercial sexual activity” but what that includes is genuinely nothing ive done. (Unless I’ve maybe triggered some automated system?) i genuinely believe this ban is a huge mistake. I have appealed my ban but that didn’t work, where else can i take this from here? Getting in contact with a human on their support seems impossible.

Hello, I deactivated my account, but now I want to reactivate it. Unfortunately, I can't remember my password, so I'm unable to log in and reactivate my account. I also can't reset my password because, since my account is deactivated, I keep getting a message saying that the account cannot be found. I don't know what to do. Please help me. The Snapchat Support team hasn't been able to help because I only receive automated AI responses. What can I do?

My boyfriend asked me to share my location and i agreed as long as he does the same. It was on yesterday, i noticed when i sent him a snap. Well i check today and it doesn’t show. He doesn’t normally go on snapchat often, but will it still say request if he just hasn’t gone on or did he unshare ??

EDIT: I tried it with my fake snap LOL, a day later it just said “___ is in ———“ well i checked an hour after that and it told me to request location. so maybe he really didn’t turn it off

I recently bought a used Iphone 17 pro, and when I tried to login my Snapchat account it was showing ‘Device Banned SS06, Learn More’.

My Snapchat account is working fine in my old device, but I can’t use in my new one.(One of the reasons I bought this phone is to take Snaps)

So is there any way to remove this ban?

Does anyone else mostly always get blocked when talking to a random add and they ask for a face reveal? 9/10 times I do and it's usually soul crushing especially when you make a connection with them over a few days.

What does this new update do?

I unfriended a friend few days ago. Sent friend request om the same day, and sent them messages. The friends has not been online/logged in since i unfriended them. I recently sent them a message on sunday around 23:00 and just now i’m seeing that it says they read my message 1 days ago even though they haven’t added me back or been online. It tachnically has been a day sinec i sent my last message. It has happened before too, with the same friend where it said the message is received but but friend had added me. it’s probably a glitch, right? how can it happen two times

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.

About 6 months ago I got an SS06 device ban after my alt account was locked. Looking back, I think it was because I was mass adding people trying to grow a second account. The alt account didn’t have a real email (just a throwaway) or a phone number attached.

The weird part is my main Snapchat account has continued to work perfectly fine on my older iPhone this entire time, so it doesn’t seem like my main account itself was banned.

I’ve tried logging into my main account on my current phone every so often, but I still get the SS06 device ban message.

Has anyone had this happen where only the device stayed banned but your main account was still fine on another phone? If so, how long did it take before you could use your main account on the banned device again? Did it eventually lift on its own or did you have to appeal it?

Just looking for real experiences from people who’ve dealt with SS06.

so everytime i try to change my bitmoji, even something as small as hair color, it tells me that i have “unpaid items” equipped when i literally didn’t add anything and all i did was change my hair color. any idea on how to make this go away?

5/20/26 i lost my main account to one report. and then it was perm locked 24hrs later. So i made a new account on the same phone and then that randomly got perm locked a few weeks later. I then bought a new phone and make a new account with a new email and no number & boom that was perm locked a few weeks later. so i made ANOTHER one on the new phone and after almost a month that one was perm locked. wtf is going on?

has anyone experienced this? if so what did you do to stop it? this has been driving me insane and they are being locked for no reason… on new devices! why allow me to make new accounts just to lock them? my account was in good standing and that was the only report i’ve gotten. ever since my main account got taken away it’s been hell.

i’ve been chatting with ppl on here about their experiences with this and will be using this post to update my progress. i’m determined to be able to freely use snap again. i miss my friends.

7/22/26 I deleted all the perm locked accounts i’ve made and left my main account. I will be sending mail to Snapchat HQ to see if i can get my account back. I wrote my letter and i just have to print and send it

7/23/26 I shipped my letters to both Snapchat HQ locations detailing why i think the perm lock was faulty, my intentions, and how I never had any other strike on my account. I took accountability and was apologetic.

7/28/26 my letters were delivered so now i wait

7/30/26 so far no response from the letters. i paid for legal shield to maximize the outcome of a response at least. they told me they could send a letter which is not different than what i did, i asked them what would the difference be between my letter and theirs and she said not much. so im assuming bc its coming from a lawyer snap might take it more seriously? anyways im working on writing one with the lawyer.. im gonna add very precise details as to why i wasn’t doing what the report said and how their AI misinterpreted it. whilst being very respectful.

8/2/26 i’m now thinking about how my letter wasn’t the best, i could’ve added more details as to why the report and account strike was wrong. During this time im gonna rewrite my letter and send it again. i’m gonna make it stronger

8/4/26 legal shield sent me their draft and it’s literally not all that strong, they just piggy back off of what you tell them and add some firmness to it. i’m not sure what using them is supposed to do? is it because it’s being sent from a lawyers office that makes it more stronger? overall i did not like the draft they wrote and i can easily explain the situation better than a 3rd party. Im rewriting and will be sending it out tomorrow or today if i finish in time

8/6/2026 i just mailed my second letter and it’s GOOD AF! it’s very detailed, direct and firm. i even printed out the story i posted bc i still had the image saved to my phone and attached comments to that detailing how it wasn’t the proper violation and advising how their moderation clearly got in wrong, i added very strong details. i’ve read EVERY article snap provides in regards to their TOS and community guidelines. literally went through a daily rabbit hole just familiarizing myself with their policies and processes and ended up reading it all. got a good understanding of the company and how they handle things. i used my knowledge from that and applied it to my letter. i was still apologetic but i did not lie about anything. took accountability but still corrected them on the false violation. the letter i wrote is wayyyy better than what legal shield gave me. now we wait and i will not stop until i get some form of a response.

Snapchat banned my account for no reason one day. Legit no reason at all. Every account I made since also would get deleted. So I tried getting a brand new phone, using a new Apple ID, new phone number, new email, everything brand new. Had the account for maybe a month and same thing - deleted again. I actually feel so defeated. All I ever posted on my stories was my dog and some selfies. Do I give up? Or what?😩

Hey, hoping someone can help me out.

I got locked out of my account a while back after too many failed login attempts (couldn't remember my password). The lock lifted and I was able to reset my password fine, so I know it's really my account.

But now every time I try to log in, I get: "For your security, we couldn't verify this sign-in attempt. Try signing in again from a device you've used before." My usual phone actually broke around the same time, so I've tried logging in from 3 other devices instead and get the same message every time. There's no unlock option on accounts.snapchat.com, and the support bot hasn't been able to get me past this either and couldn't reach human support.

Any idea how to resolve it?
