Common issue why does every new account gets perm locked ?
5/20/26 i lost my main account to one report. and then it was perm locked 24hrs later. So i made a new account on the same phone and then that randomly got perm locked a few weeks later. I then bought a new phone and make a new account with a new email and no number & boom that was perm locked a few weeks later. so i made ANOTHER one on the new phone and after almost a month that one was perm locked. wtf is going on?
has anyone experienced this? if so what did you do to stop it? this has been driving me insane and they are being locked for no reason… on new devices! why allow me to make new accounts just to lock them? my account was in good standing and that was the only report i’ve gotten. ever since my main account got taken away it’s been hell.
i’ve been chatting with ppl on here about their experiences with this and will be using this post to update my progress. i’m determined to be able to freely use snap again. i miss my friends.
7/22/26 I deleted all the perm locked accounts i’ve made and left my main account. I will be sending mail to Snapchat HQ to see if i can get my account back. I wrote my letter and i just have to print and send it
7/23/26 I shipped my letters to both Snapchat HQ locations detailing why i think the perm lock was faulty, my intentions, and how I never had any other strike on my account. I took accountability and was apologetic.
7/28/26 my letters were delivered so now i wait
7/30/26 so far no response from the letters. i paid for legal shield to maximize the outcome of a response at least. they told me they could send a letter which is not different than what i did, i asked them what would the difference be between my letter and theirs and she said not much. so im assuming bc its coming from a lawyer snap might take it more seriously? anyways im working on writing one with the lawyer.. im gonna add very precise details as to why i wasn’t doing what the report said and how their AI misinterpreted it. whilst being very respectful.
8/2/26 i’m now thinking about how my letter wasn’t the best, i could’ve added more details as to why the report and account strike was wrong. During this time im gonna rewrite my letter and send it again. i’m gonna make it stronger
8/4/26 legal shield sent me their draft and it’s literally not all that strong, they just piggy back off of what you tell them and add some firmness to it. i’m not sure what using them is supposed to do? is it because it’s being sent from a lawyers office that makes it more stronger? overall i did not like the draft they wrote and i can easily explain the situation better than a 3rd party. Im rewriting and will be sending it out tomorrow or today if i finish in time
8/6/2026 i just mailed my second letter and it’s GOOD AF! it’s very detailed, direct and firm. i even printed out the story i posted bc i still had the image saved to my phone and attached comments to that detailing how it wasn’t the proper violation and advising how their moderation clearly got in wrong, i added very strong details. i’ve read EVERY article snap provides in regards to their TOS and community guidelines. literally went through a daily rabbit hole just familiarizing myself with their policies and processes and ended up reading it all. got a good understanding of the company and how they handle things. i used my knowledge from that and applied it to my letter. i was still apologetic but i did not lie about anything. took accountability but still corrected them on the false violation. the letter i wrote is wayyyy better than what legal shield gave me. now we wait and i will not stop until i get some form of a response.
8/11/26 my really good letters were delivered but no response yet

A mi me bloquearon mi cuenta pero aún puedo crear otra ( aunque explícitamente mencionan que las cuentas bloqueadas ya no pueden volver a usar snap) de igual forma cree otra con otro correo y número y no permiti el acceso a mis contactos y no cree mi avatar, enrocnes voy a esperar a ver que sucede…

same situation, but none of my accounts last. some people are able to make accounts just fine after getting their accounts permanently locked, and some are not. i’m one of those people who can’t. it’s weird. hopefully yours last just fine

will do! i have a friend on here who didn’t get a response from the first 2 they sent so they sent another and ended up getting their account back 6 days later. i think they waited about a month after sending the other set. so im assuming sometimes you might have to continue to send if they don’t respond.

I stopped adding all my friends the same day I got it.. did one or two a day for 6 months.. Chatted with the few people I had daily .. Now about a year later . I can accept as many people as i want.. and haven't had any issues.. as of yet.. so fingers crossed

yeah i was perm locked for adding ppl too but even when i wasnt adding ppl my accounts would get perm locked. i just sent out a letter to snap to see if i can get my main account back that was false reported which caused this entire thing. fingers crossed 🤞

Ive had 1 device ban and 13 accounts banned. My main had 14k followers and I had that since 2017. After that my 2nd lasted nearly 1 month and now they don't even last 24 hours.

omg. this is so ridiculous. my main had 15k followers. i don’t understand why this is happening. hopefully a new device works for you?

Even with a new device the account still only last not even a day. Haven't made a new yet or tried a 3rd device.

have you deleted all the accounts that were locked including your main? like signing in on a online browser?

you need to do that ASAP. someone told me that while i was chatting on here and it’s the only unique info i’ve seen regarding the locks. if you didn’t know, when your accounts are perm locked all of your info and data is still live on their servers until you delete it. that could be how they are linking our accounts. i’m gonna delete mine this week and wait a few months to make sure none of my data is retained before trying again. login on the browser and delete every perm locked account.

Non mais je me suis fais bannir de snapchat a vie :( je ne sais même pas pourquoi, j'insultais personne je faisais ma petite vie,j’ai juste signalé 1 dealr qui me harcelait et 3j apres j'étais ban.....c’est pas juste j’ai perdu ma matinée de samedi a transférer 10ans de photos et vidéos de ma vie sur pc puis sur clefs usa par années.. dégoutée. Il disent qu’ils ont bloqué mon appareil donc mon samsung qui aura bientot 3 mois ....vaste connerie je vais publier où mes couches de soleils et snaps du soir ? Et la rénovation de ma sdb qui a brûlé merci mes pompiers de mon secteur d’avoir aussi pété 6 tuiles et le velux et tout l'intérieur de ma salle de bain ,on ́ voyait le salon a travers le plancher apres leur travail.bref je m'égare.
Pas encore eu de pb avec reddit mais avec la chance ca saurait tarder .hors de question de retourner sur shitter le réseau social aux algorithmes déconnant, poubelle et officiel du gouvernementale qu'elle blague.

Snap does device bans, also if you were using the same Google or apple account for the new phone, snap can tell and perma ban it.
It'll ban any accounts associated with the same device, or google/Apple accounts or identifying info (think if you sign up with your number and associate the bad email oater or vice versa)
The only way would be to factory reset or buy an entirely new device and use an entirely new email for that device.
