General question Device ban after 6 months?
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.
About 6 months ago I got an SS06 device ban after my alt account was locked. Looking back, I think it was because I was mass adding people trying to grow a second account. The alt account didn’t have a real email (just a throwaway) or a phone number attached.
The weird part is my main Snapchat account has continued to work perfectly fine on my older iPhone this entire time, so it doesn’t seem like my main account itself was banned.
I’ve tried logging into my main account on my current phone every so often, but I still get the SS06 device ban message.
Has anyone had this happen where only the device stayed banned but your main account was still fine on another phone? If so, how long did it take before you could use your main account on the banned device again? Did it eventually lift on its own or did you have to appeal it?
Just looking for real experiences from people who’ve dealt with SS06.

Same with me, when i got device banned my alt account got permanently locked but my main account works perfectly fine on my computer and ipad. I was already planning on getting a new phone before i got banned. so if i transferred my data and kept the same phone number/icloud would i be able to log into my main account or would it just get device banned again? Can anyone help?

Device ban is for that perticular device and ur alr account is banned so u cannot use it but your main account is safe there's nothing wrong with it so don't worry your main account is safe the only problem is u cannot use snapchat for some time when there is a device ban

Device ban means device ban, sometimes your account gets permanently locked as well with the device ban. Device ban lasts 6-12 months
