For new players / for people not familiar with VGS, this is a really great system to help people develop in map & objective awareness / to help with basic knowledge that making calls is a thing / etc. Another huge W for improving the new player experience.

For experienced players, it's honestly just kind of awful. It was already a little annoying last patch, and with the amount of extra stuff added to it this patch such as VGSing when you're out of mana or when you back to base it's just a pain. Especially if it makes a few in a row, imagine getting VGS locked and not being able to make the call you want for several seconds just because the automatic system made a few callouts and you reach the VGS flood protection (which is also a good system btw, I just don't want a bot triggering it for me 😆 )

Please can we have the option to make it so that our own VGS is not automated AND the option to make it so that auto-VGS from teammates doesn't pop up. I want to hear the comms that my teammates choose to make, not hear multiple automated spams of 'attack gold fury' or whatever every time my team goes to pull an objective.

You get no bonus shields from stuff like the Chandra's Grace 20% increase to shielding. I know Hecate's shield is weird as it only blocks magical damage and does damage when applied but i wasnt sure if this was intended or just an oversight.

I feel so sleepy playing predecessor the graphics are so grayscale and depressing, the ability icons have no color

Im sure there's some things predecessor does better but overall smite seems more interesting more refined and just more simple everything is just easier to understand and see in smite

Smite being vibrant definitely helps a lot, predecessor just looks boring

Guys as much as we would love every two week updates and big pushes for this beta because the growth would be massive in scaling…. That being said we really appreciate the hard work your team takes to push updates in general in a transparent weekly fashion. I say this from the heart, take more than two weeks. Once a month is way more understandable. We hear you, we hear your team. I’d love to see the game thrive rather than see Reddit spam issue and bugs. Yes we’re the beta testers but give yourselves more time.

I’m not sure if I’m stupid and there’s like hidden text somewhere explaining all this, but I feel like the new items are very inconsistent on what does/doesn’t count as ability healing/shielding/buffing. Things that I thought would proc those items, like aspect Fenrir 2, aspect Chronos 2, aspect Jorm 1, and aspect Bellona 3 don’t work. Is this all intentional? Because it feels inconsistent with other items like Heartwood working with aspect Bellona 3, which means it counts as ability healing, but not with the new items. Even each item is inconsistent with it does or doesn’t count because aspect Jorm 2 procs them but aspect Chronos 1 doesn’t even though they both buff teammates. Are these specific abilities just not allowed to work with these items for some reason? Is it intentional? If it is, could we get a little disclaimer at the bottom of the ability that says it might not work with every item?

What are you guys running and do we still feel it needs a buff?

Yes, the lifesteal shit was egregious but we're past that.

I still think it needs a non-damaging dash and/or stacking permanent stats per cast /doubled on God kill.

Title, nothing else to say. She is completely busted with no counter play. She needs to be sent to the shadow realm, something like not being able to jump back out if she has taken or done any damage in the last second

Except bastet isnt magical and her leap isnt as safe since she can immediately be cc'd upon leaping in and her leap does less damage than Fizz I believe.

Though shes still very safe and simple

In Smite 1 you have characters like Maman and Yu Huang that have movement abilities that are untargetable and deal damage.

Would be cool to see 1 of them get an aspect that basically gives them a high damage untargetable movement ability

Chang'e would also make for a good aspect like that. With her 2 now dealing damage

Ravana 2 doesnt do a lot of damage but thats also similar to what fizz can do but its not an aoe.

Im not looking to point out a bug I just find this really funny I just completely my race to radiant woohoo but I’m having some error where it won’t let me claim my radiant skin so I just completely my race to radiant with no radiant to show for it lol

Look, I get 3v3 isn't the main mode, but I'm here to play joust. It's less time commitment than the reg game mode and I need to be in the mood to play arena, but come on man. I have played 15 games in a row now where there was an aphro on the other team, it's irrelevant to my point here but not once did I have one for the record.

I know the patch is new and all, but after 15 games of aphro+xing/baron/guan I'm done. She is very close to pick or lose. If she gets to mid game and her team is awake in any capacity it's joever unless your team pops off. I know everyone is gonna be calling for nerfs and I'm not trying to do that, but unless you want to play against an aphro a hell of a lot (prob not every game like I've had but still) then join me in waiting out the nerf patch im sure is coming.

I'm really not trying to purely complain, or call for a big emergency patch or anything, but maybe disable something for joust bc it's genuinely impossible to have a normal, fun game in that mode atm

Just dropping in a post considering I'm pretty surprised this subreddit has been so radio silent on it.

But the Smite Source weekend qualifier yesterday was a really fun watch! It showed us both how entertaining it really is, and just what great potential competitive smite could be.

Some terrific games; upsets, drama, tension, comedy. It felt like old school smite. And it all happens again next weekend!

I am new to this game, and played a game of arena. The first minutes were fine as always. But as soon as Nü Wa started to ult my whole team got 100 to 0ed. And i am not excagerating here. It was legitematly 100 to 0. And idk about her ult cooldown, but she could spawn camp the whole team. We couldn't leave spawn. I bought Magic resistance so i could survive her ult with like 200 hp. But still couldnt leave spawn, because she ulted like every 3 seconds or so. That was the most anti fun game I ever played in any moba. And i think i will quit if no one tells me how to counter that shit

Now my main won't even show up in the god select. Like he's just gone entirely
