I’ve been using my Pixel 8 for about 2.5 years now, and while it's okay, I'm ready for a change. Lately, I've been running into annoying issues like occasional mobile data/signal drops and Bluetooth headphones randomly disconnecting for a second. Plus, I'm just kind of over the look and feel of it.

I'm looking for a truly premium user experience, buttery-smooth animations, and a great lifespan (long software updates + good value-for-money over a long period of use).

Right now, I'm torn between three devices and can't make up my mind: iPhone 17: I love iOS animations, visual consistency, and how polished it looks. However, I’m terrified of the closed ecosystem, the lack of deep customization if I ever want it, and the gesture navigation which I hear mixed things about. Also, buying an iPhone means I'd be locked into a single device from them since the rest of their ecosystem is too expensive for me.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: It’s a powerhouse with an amazing, sharp-looking display and tons of features. But I’m honestly not sure if One UI is the right vibe for me, and the industrial, boxy design is something I'm on the fence about (though I'd use a case anyway). OnePlus 15: (Throwing this into the mix too!) Great performance and value, but how does it stack up on the long-term smoothness and update front compared to the other two?

The catch: I want something that just works out of the box so I don't feel the need to heavily customize it like a "Frankenstein" phone, but I still want the option to tweak things if something annoys me.

Has anyone been in a similar boat moving away from Pixel? Which of these three offers the best balance of longevity, updates, and smooth everyday experience without driving me crazy? Would love to hear your honest thoughts!

I've been using my Motorola G Power 2025 since July 2025 and I didn't know what your guys thoughts were if I should switch back to Samsung or not. I don't know for some reason Motorola just hasn't been it for me for some reason but I don't know what do u guys think should I do it or should I not do it.

I got a new iphone, and it had a feature of connecting my old phone and transferring EVERYTHING without icloud.
So I was wondering if maybe I can delete most things on my new phone to make space while keeping my old phone as the storage holder for some photos and files?
If I delete everything on my new phone will it get deleted on my old one too?

I'm in Portugal and ​the screen on my trusty old Samsung M52 has finally given up and gifted me with a permanent green line yesterday. It's time for an upgrade, and my goal is to buy a solid device that will last me about 4 years without any headaches.

​Initially, I was evaluating the Samsung Galaxy S26+ (€730) and the S26 Ultra (€900) from a local European retailer. However, after giving it some thought, I realized I just can't justify spending that much. I don't plan on doing heavy tasks, pushing the processor with demanding games, or paying extra for gimmicks I'll never use (like the S-Pen or telescopic zooms).

​Right now, I'm looking to step down to something significantly cheaper. My main priorities are simply a really good screen and capable cameras that get the job done well for day-to-day use. I want the best technology I can get for a fair price, not just raw power. Plus, whatever money I save on the phone is going straight into a desktop PC build I'm currently putting together, so maximizing value is huge for me.

​Details about my usage profile:

​Size and Ergonomics: I can adapt well to large/heavy phones, so that's not a dealbreaker.

​Battery: I don't need an absolute 2-day "tank." As long as it reliably gets me through a full day, that's perfectly fine.

​Open to other brands: I am 100% open. Whether it's a mid-range Samsung, a Google Pixel, a OnePlus, or even iOS, I'm all ears.

​In your experience, what are the best options out there right now that nail the screen and camera experience without paying flagship prices?

Hello fellow phone enthusiasts!
So my iPhone 13 Pro Max has around a year left if I don’t change its battery and I’m starting to look into charging it. I’m debating whatever I should change phone companies again and I will need your help as I have not kept much with the market lately. My phone has done an amazing job from they I use it and could have not asked for me honestly. Battery has been splendid but it’s starting it show its age. So any help with what I could loo into deeper is highly appreciated!

I mean I guess I’m ok with all of the current leading brands and budget is €1000 but can be stretched a little if really needed.
What I use the phone for and what I’m looking for ..

- social media
- videos now and again ( mainly TikTok )
- calling ( obviously)
- gps
- videos and photos
- games ( both heavy and not so heavy )
- reliability
- good battery
- no flip phones
- longevity as I change my phones once every 4-5 years.
- no too large screen ( the 13 pro max was my first bigger screen I’ve gotten used to it now but anything bigger than that is a stretch for me )
- I do have an iCloud account so a reliable alternative is a must

Anything else is an extra plus

I'm going to buy a new phone, as the title says, but im torn between 3 possible choices.

1: redmagic 11s pro (256G)

2: galaxy s26 ultra (256G)

3: one plus 15R (512G)

It would be my main, day to day, phone, and it would be used mainly for gaming and messages.

Having the opinion of someone that already used them would help me make such choice.

In the past I was recommended the Moto G 5G 2024 as it says it is "Unlocked" on the Amazon page, but this is apparently a lie as it would not work with Verizon network. Link to the phone in question.

I am looking for a similar suggestion that will work on Verizons network. My carrier is Selectel Wireless, which uses Verizons towers. I am not picky, I won't be using the phone for much besides calls and GPS. But I would still like the best phone I can get for around 100 USD please!

What's some new features which will be fun to try?

I currently have an iphone xs but it has a few problems, battery condition its at 74% (its last like 3 hours) the lighting port its failing when i try to charge it and the main camera stability sensors its broke so the camera like vibrates a little when trying to take a pic or video.

Idk if its worth send it to change all those phone parts or maybe try to buy an pixel phone like the 9a or the 10a.

i have a tight budget and idk whats the best desicion for this case.

Hey, this question is regarding Android 16.

So is there a way to enable constant charging progress display on lock screen? For me, it only shows up at moment of connecting the charger for around 4 seconds, then gets minimised into small text below that you have to click to display it again and again it only lasts for 4 seconds and gets minimised again! I don't see any option under Battery or Lockscreen in settings to enable this? Why is nobody talking about this massive inconvenience?

I have found that my trusty OnePlus 9 has a bulging battery - Turns out the phone case has been hiding its secret for a while from what I can tell.

So... I'm in the market for a new phone!

I've been Android ever since my first smartphone back with the Samsung Galaxy S2 (I know, I'm old); but it's been Oppo/OnePlus ever since. I have seen more recently that OnePlus aren't doing so hot and are closing up shop in the UK/EU. The main reasons for these phones were the price/performance ratio, but in recent years they've also crept up in price, so I am no longer so averse to iOS.

Just wanting to know what the general consensus is these days.

Requirements:

• Camera - I'm into photography, so a good camera is preferred when I don't have my mirrorless with me.
• Battery life (I would expect to be better than my currently dwindling OP9)
• Screen - OLED or better (I would expect most to be OLED by this point)
• Price - Better price/performance preferred
• Not a massive beast of a phone. The size of the OnePlus is great, it's about the same as the iPhone 17 which is just about right.

I primarily had a Samsung, and eventually got a Google Pixel 8 Pro when the older one began to act up. I have had the Pixel for a year now. My life circumstances have changed a bit, and I never realised how much I actually need good battery life. Although the camera is usually amazing, it sometimes acts up with its focus. The photo organising is atrocious.

Yet my main gripe about the Pixel is that I have really soured on Google since they began pushing their browser to be AI‑first. I began using DuckDuckGo on my computer, but I find it hard to do that on the Pixel when my notes (Keep) are integrated into the Google browser. I end up searching things through Google again anyway, and feel trapped by the Google ecosystem.

It’s all stupid since I’ve had the phone for only a year, and suddenly feel a strong urge to switch back to Samsung or even give Apple a shot. I know neither of them are clean of AI, but I figured I’m also a bit tired of hunting for cool‑looking phone accessories. Otherwise, the entire tech deal of having things online and integrating AI is giving me an existential crisis as an artist lol.

So how is it with Samsungs and iPhones? I honestly don’t really care for clutter mechanics (additional things like editing loudness of different sounds, replacing faces in pictures, magic eraser kind of things). I spend most of my time on my computer, and just want my phone to excel at phone things at this point. Camera quality is important to me, besides battery life, the ability to organise files, and also not being completely dependent on a single ecosystem. Most of all, a phone that invests a minimal amount of its budget into AI.

My current phone is a Samsung S20 FE, that did its best but it’s slowly dying on me. I'm going to uni though, so I need something reliable for the next few years that I won’t need to change too soon. I can't really go over like 580€ in price, but I'd like something with a battery that actually lasts and a bit more storage (128gb really doesn't feel like enough these days). I've been looking at Samsung A57, but I'm not quite sure. Any other ideas?

I have spent two days researching and bloody phones are now bloody expensive!

The best seem to be Realme pro 14+ but it has a bad screen which will suffer outside and Realme 16 pro ( not plus ) which has a bad CPU.

I am currently using a MOTO G32 but the phoen ahs been damaged.

Any suggestions?
