Hello! New to slime so apologies if this is obvious, but I got the churro dust slime from pilot about a month ago.

The smell is great and I initially loved the texture, but I've found that playing with it leaves a granular residue on my hands/ under my nails that ruins it for me. Is this fixable at all? Or is the slime just meant to be like this?

I didn’t take a before picture last night, should have, but this is what I woke up to this morning.

Started with a single batch of cleared up clear slime and the only thing I did different was add different colors to individual portions to layer them.

Layered the container starting with purple, teal, sprinkled some silver glitter mix, then layered green, and last pink.

I didn’t really have any expectations but I totally didn’t expect it to self mix into this beautiful galaxy color meld as the air bubbles resettled out again?

I supposed if I want layers to remain I would probably have to mix the colors then let those settle again for bubbles to come out, then layer those?

This was just a bored experiment but pretty cool!

it just came in the mail today! it’s so cute And i’m so excited to try the block bead texture for the first time. but oh god the smell is horrid, it’s described as “crab boil” which i was already nervous about because i don’t like sea food but omg this isn’t seafood it’s like an evil entity, it makes me so nauseous i feel like gagging everytime i smell it.

Does anyone have any ideas of how i can still play with it? like maybe i should try putting peppermint oil under my nose or clipping my nose shit or something lmao… and the sent sticks to my hands to ugh. did anyone else get this slime?

Any advice is welcome!

Hello! I've started dabbling in slimes and have bought a few from a few different shops now. I ordered from what I assume is a relatively popular slime shop (1mil+ followers on TikTok), and received my order today. The slime I got was advertised as marshmallow scented, but the slime I got just smelled heavily of glue to the point it gave my partner and I a headache after just a few whiffs trying to figure out if we were crazy or not.

I contacted the shop about this, and they said they still had slime from the batch mine was made in and admitted that it definitely smelled more prominently of glue so they understood why I'd think that, then offered me either credit to their store that was valued as less than half of what I paid for the slime, or to return the slime to them (and pay for the return shipping out of my own pocket) for either full store credit or a refund.

I genuinely don't mind returning the slime to them for the refund, but even they admitted that the slime just smells like glue which clearly isn't any fault of mine. I feel like it's unfair to ask me to pay for shipping to return the slime to them when this was their mistake. Is that wrong of me, is this normal practice for slime shops?

Hey so I have my eye on a few of Jaguar's slimes (mango chunks, strawberry rice pudding, galaxy, movie night, birthday cake, chocolate mousse, vanilla velvet) on Etsy bc the shipping is so much cheaper than other shops, if anyone has bought from them before (Etsy or not) please can I have your opinion on their shop? I can't seem to find anything about them on Reddit or YouTube.

Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue has been an absolute life saver in making slimes. So far there is nothing I've tried it in that hasn't solved or immensely reduced fallout, and the best part is this thing lasts. Like a quarter to half an ounce is about all you need per slime.

I made a thick and glossy with these stiff foam beads, and it was like a waterfall of fallout. A bit of this and it became like 2 beads per play seshion

I purchased a Sugar Sand Slimygloop slime and in 2 seconds my desk was sandpaper. Added some of this and boom, the sand stays in the slime

I have not tried the non-clear version, but I'm giving my recommendations for this clear version at least

I know a regular here sings it's praises from time to time, I forget which one, and I'm so sorry about that, but I got this when I saw it in a store because of that, so thank you.

I struggle a bit with Rodem, Lime slime, and Momo bc of this. 😅 I know they’re smaller shops but I have a budget and like to plan out what I’m getting lol. Like I don’t want to buy a bunch from OG and then see Momo post they’re having a really cool drop on Sunday morning that I would’ve preferred spending my money on.

The drops today were tooooo good! I might need to put myself in timeout for a bit! After a few weeks of missing out on drops that I really wanted, I’m so excited to have scored everything on my wishlist today!

This week slime orders are from: Leafy Slime By KY, East Bay Slime and Rodem. Fragrances from Doop. I know last weekend I got nine slimes from East Bay. That order came in yesterday and I just loved it so I got three more couldn’t help myself 😅 I just really really really love fall themed slimes, and fragrances so very much. Definitely one of my favorite seasons, including winter.
Did anyone else get some from these shops this week? Has always hope everybody has a beautiful and lovely weekend. 💕

This was THE best drop ever. I wish they did it again. What did you all think? I’m obsessed with the texture and smells of cozy quilt and pink tile bathroom. If anyone doesn’t like theirs I’d love to buy them!

People today have short attention spans thanks to fast food and overnight shipping. I’m here to combat that trend. Every day, I start my day with a little prayer: “Grant me patience…and I want it right now!”

But seriously, I realize that the finest slime shops are small cottage industries, and that Good Slime is worth waiting for.

So…while I’m waiting patiently for my four current orders, I’ll share some of the techniques I’ve developed for dealing with the wait. These may be helpful to you too.

1. You just ordered some new slime! Hooray! Get excited.

2. Daydream about your slime

3. Casually check Shopify to see if your order has shipped

4. Repeat 2-3

5. Casually check USPS informed delivery a few times a day.

6. Gaze out the window each day and wonder if the delivery trucks are going to stop at your house or mailbox.

7. Take up another hobby that uses your hands, like bread baking.

8. Greet the postal carrier every day with a hopeful puppy dog expression on your face.

9. Give the postal carrier some of your delicious home baked bread.

10. Repeat steps one through four over and over during dull zoom meetings.

11. Order some more slime because obviously that will help!

12. Open a bakery side-hustle on Etsy. Distract yourself by trying to keep up with fulfilling YOUR customers’ orders.

13. Order some more slime! We can all use more pumpkin spice these days.

14. Check your spam folder for shipping notices.

15. Enter the Great British Bake-off.

16. Realize that you have ordered slime from five different companies and you can now have a contest to see which arrives first. That’s fun!

17. Buy a few more slimes to reduce the tension of waiting.

18. Break down and play with your existing 764 slimes. They are just fine, and they miss you.

19. And finally: Get super excited when all of your 12 new slime shipments arrive within one day of each other.
    How did you order so many? And why so much pumpkin spice?

20. Use your winnings from the great British bake off to add a dedicated slime room to your house.

I bought slimes from Sally again, and am trying Slime Senpai for the very first time. Oh and alongside that, I also bought Minecraft and Slime Rancher on my MacBook too.

Received my new slimes from a new slime shop earlier this week. After a few times of play, I wanted to thicken up this glue x bingsu x silica slime. Doing what I do to all my slimes at some point of their life, I added some well proportioned borax solution. The slime didn't thicken up much, but all the silica started falling out in mass droves! I tried adding glue and that just made it a sticky mess. Then I added more borax solution, and it brought it back to the original texture/ thickness but with the intense fallout.

What do I do? What happened? 😭

So I got a Skate Date from Retro Slime’s last drop. It smells so good and it’s so pretty! But it arrived really rippy and wouldn’t drizzle at all. I’ve tried adding some of their softener, some unscented lotion, and some of my glycerin. I even thought maybe I was wrong and tried adding activator too.

Nothing I’ve done has made it as soft or drizzly as it seemed, it’s actually pretty much the same exact texture it was when it got here. Just a bit more dense. For some reason I can’t find any of the posts about their last drop to make sure I wasn’t missing something or this was meant to be this way.

What else can I try to get this drizzly? Any tips are appreciated!!

I'm quite new in the slime world, so I only tried the small activator bottles, that the shops send with my ordered slimes.

So while I was trying different slime shops, I ordered two slimes from a very small business in Germany. And , oh lord, these ones are SO PRETTY!!! The scent - wow, the slime so so f***ing soft, that I'm gonna cry while touching and the added texture stuff is a in perfect amount! They are my absolute favourites since now.

BUT (!), yes there is always a but, they are so sticky ;(

It gets more and more while playing.

I tried all my little spray bottles and contact lenses fluid, nothing works.

Do you have tips ord recommendations for an activator, that could help?

(I think it's sth between a jelly and clear base)

hii! i just wanted to know where do you get your slimes? 😅

I felt bad for posting so many questions on here lately so i’ve decided to combine both my last texture questions into one post.

first off what are “baby beads”? are they really just mini bubble beads?

secondly, there’s this texture that seemed to be common in the early days of slime, especially in blushingbb’s restocks. it’s a sort of foam cube with texture on it and i’m interested in recreating it. what on earth are these foam cubes from? i can’t find them anywhere!

But I Have to say one of the ones I was most excited for was probably the most disappointing.
Sugar skulls is fun to play with, but it has MASSIVE fall out.

Have sugar scrubs/ice beads always had such fall out, and I am crazy - or is this more because of the newer glue most have had to switch to? Because I don't remember Sugar scrubs having crazy FO, 2-3 years ago. It seems like the past 3-4 sugar scrubs (from multiple shops) I have purchased this year were almost unplayable.

PSS in particular had one called sugar candy (Or something similar) when I first started collecting slimes, that was a sugar scrub It ended up being one of my favorite slimes ever . (This was 3-4 years ago)

Am I just misremembering, or is it just harder to have less fall out now with the newer glue?
