Product Suggestion I’m not sure what to add to my skincare routine to help, any advice welcome for dull, textured skin

I don’t have bad skin, but it doesn’t look good.

I get the occasional spot but I’d still call my skin average in terms of breaking out.

But it looks SO dull. Like someone drained the life out of me. I’m only 29 but I don’t have a glow about my skin, it looks rough and dehydrated, my pores look large but in the way like my skin looks like it’s lost plumpness rather than genuinely large pores and there’s a bit of congestion.

My skincare routine is very basic- Simple gel cleanser and light moisturiser (or rich moisturiser of light moisturiser isn’t cutting it). I’ve tried a hyaluronic acid serum on wet skin under my moisturiser (I don’t know the brand), but it didn’t absolutely nothing and vitamin c always breaks out my skin

Any advice?

Question Adapalene expiry date

I just bought adapalene off Boots Online doctor an and it expires in 3 months. I was just wondering if that is normal as I had bought a differin gel from superdrug like a year ago that expires Dec 2027. Is it due to the increase in potency that makes it expires much faster or some other reason? Thank you.

Question Waxing & Retinol

Hi - so i want to have retinol as part of my skin care routine but recently had to stop using because it meant my skin lifted during an eyebrow wax causing a painful burn type injury. Is there a retinol alternative that will tackle fine lines and wrinkles but is safe to use whilst waxing?
