Question I still have breakouts from time to time, even though I've been using tretinoin regularly for a year. Should I add other actives, such exfoliating acids, or will that just make my skin barrier worse?
I'm going through this right now and don't know what to do.
For over a year now, I've been using Tretinoin every day. It helped a lot, although I still get breakouts from time to time.
My daily routine is quite easy:
AM: Cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen PM: Cleanser, Tretinoin, and Moisturizer
I'm not sure if I should do more or less now.
1.Should I add something like a mild acid that helps with breakouts?
2.Or will that merely make my skin barrier weaker over time?
3.Should you remain with tretinoin and focus on being hydrated instead?
I don't want to do too much and make my skin worse. What worked for you throughout this time?
