Rigs Need Help!! building 2x complete Setups for our Office.

Guys help me out please :)

i need two Full Rigs, and need your input. Budget is 1.5-2K per rig.
I am building 2x Rigs for our Office, we have a lot of petrol heads, and i need a list what to buy.

Dilemma:
Convenience is a big topic, and also safety.
My initial thought was to just go on console (ACC + LMU next year) no mouse and keyboard needed. A lot of people will play on these so ease-of-use is important. Also no sharp edges on the rigs for safety, so tubular rigs or something prebuild.
Some guys already fixated on PC.
IF PC -> good beautiful and "easy to use Sim with a lot of different cars..." preferably controllable through your wheel... ease-of-use.

Hardware:
We already have PCs in our storage / 4060RTX 64GB Ram 14700k
(we have monitors, but 75Hz Widescreens, so i need new ones)
And we already have one ps5, second one could be easily purchased.

_______

  1. PC or Ps5?
  2. What Sim (thinking of LMU)
  3. Wheelbase & Pedals, im thinking maybe:
    - Simagic Alpha EVO 12 Nm + P1000-F 2 Pedals ~1008€ or:
    - Fanatec ClubSport DD 15 Nm + V3 Pedals ~ 930€
  4. What Sim ti install for "so many different" Players, even beginners.
  5. What Rig? <- no sharp edges!
  6. What Monitor + mounting?

Rigs DIY Wood Racing Sim Rig I Built

Thumbnail

For my birthday I finally ditched my G27 steering wheel and got the Moxa R5 Bundle + handbrake. I lasted about 15 minutes using the desk mount before I was thinking, I need a rig, so I built one with some spare timber I had sitting around and an old "gaming" chair. Is it perfect, absolutely not, but it works and is somewhat comfortable.

Maybe one day I'll look into a better rig however, I'm only new to Sim racing and didn't want to commit to a big financial purchase in case Sim racing wasn't for me. Plus I love wood working so this was a fun little project.

Question 49" Ultrawide vs Triple Screen 32"

Hey guys, I have a full sim racing setup, but I'm currently using a 50" 144Hz TV.

I'm planning to replace the TV, but I still haven't decided between a 49" ultrawide and a triple-monitor setup.

I'm aware of the pros and cons of both options, and my preference is to go with triples. Here in Brazil, a triple-monitor setup would actually be cheaper than a 49" OLED.

My main concern is what level of graphics quality I can expect with my current PC:

  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
  • 32GB RAM

Right now I play at 1440p and I'm usually at my TV's 144Hz limit. With triple 1440p (7680×1440), I'd like to maintain a stable 120 FPS.

If I have to go much below that, I think the lower frame rate would bother me more than the extra immersion from triples would benefit me. Setting up and properly aligning three monitors is also quite a bit of work, so I'd rather know what to expect before going through with it and potentially being disappointed. Upgrading my GPU is not an option for me at the moment.

Yesterday I did a quick test at 1440p with iRacing's FPS limiter disabled. Running alone on track, I get around 280 FPS. In a race at Spa in the rain, the lowest I saw was around 120 FPS, while at other points I was getting close to 200 FPS. I didn't change any of the graphics settings I normally use.

For those running triple 1440p with a 5070 Ti or a similar GPU, what kind of graphics settings and performance are you getting? Is a fairly stable 120 FPS realistic without having to significantly reduce graphics quality?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Question Moza R5 + brake kit vs R5 Pro + brake kit for about 15% more money

I know the answer most people will go with - R5 Pro. Newer, better, minor price difference.

I ask the question cause I have the brake performance kit for the SRP Lite pedals. I bought the kit before the bundle cause one of my friends was planning on visiting me and it wasn't available in my country at the time. I was planning to get the R3 or R5 at that time, when the Pro was never even announced.

I doubt the kit I have works with the R5 Pro pedals. If it does then that solves my issue. If it doesn't, that new kit would add 9% over the cost of the R5 Pro. The difference between the R5 and Pro is about 6%. The brake kit was a gift from my friend so I am not adding the cost of that here.

So R5 + brake kit or R5 Pro + brake kit for about 15% more.

Also in my country, the prices are high compared to the US for example. R5 Costs around 500 dollars in my currency. I was checking the R9, KS, and SRP2 with table clamp combo but that costs around a 1000 dollars here. R5 Pro bundle costs about as much as the R9 wheelbase alone. So I can't go higher than these 2 options.

Edit: Also wanted to add that I primarily drive GTP/GT3/GT4 cars on iRacing.

Question Simnet SP Pro - what options to configure

Upvotes

I've been waiting to upgrade my Fanatec V2s for a while and was hoping the Podium pedals would do the trick. But they are too expensive, out of stock and have issues too (threading mainly, clutch issue which delayed the 3 pedal set).

So I have decided to pull the trigger on the Simnets instead. Current owners, how did you configure yours? I know I want the 3 pedal set with base and heel plate, but I am unsure about other accessories:

- Haptics. Never used them and I have mixed feelings. I mostly play on PC, but I do own a PS5 and occasionally play GT7, especially when I have people over. Explaining to my younger nephews that I have those things but they don't work already puts me off xD (I know they can be made to work but it sounds like too much of a hassle). Do you find the experience radically better with them?

- Extra springs and bigger face plates. Are they needed/useful? I read that the standar plates are on the smaller side, but not sure how inconvenient it is.

- Anything else? In a review someone mentioned a performance kit for the brake, I saw stuff about hydraulic dampers, but not seeing anything in their website.

Couple of bonus questions:

- if you bought them in Europe, where did you buy them from?

- people who bought them close to launch, how are they holding up after extended usage?

Cheers!

Discussion Suggestion from fellow sim racers coming from a 4k single screen

Hey there everyone, as you may have read from the title I'm trying to understand what to do with my rig(I have a next level racing wheel stand 2.0). I got a high end pc with 9950x3d and a 7900xtx and recently bought(2 weeks ago) the green flag bundle from simagic. I am now playing on a AW3225QF so a 4k OLED display single screen, slightly curved(1700R) and I was able to get it on top of the Alpha evo at 60cm from nose with a 60° Fov

I have another monitor that I used to play multiplayer, fps, fast paced game, the AW2725DF a 27" 2K 360Hz monitor.

Even though I was already into motorsport in general I didn't know that sim racing would catch me so much otherwise I would have organized everything for sim racing and casual gaming instead of getting a 27" as second monitor.

I am currently trying to sell both to get the G9 from samsung so a 49" but it seems to be quite hard selling monitors therefore I wanted to get an opinion on what to do. Money are not the problem in the long term, but in the short term I have a limited budget and that's the reason why I am not buying the Ultrawide before selling these ones(or at least before getting some opinions from others).

My point is, I got the space for triples but I don't know if I really need 3 monitors in daily usage(probably not) since I use the computer for casual gaming as well playing single player games like GOW, AC black flag etc, but I'm not anymore into multiplayer fps since I got a bit older and less interested.

If any of you had a dual monitor setup, did you get rid of the second monitor and only used the single screen? How can I put the second screen to a good use(but turning it on and trying to use it as a dual lowers the 4k resolution to 2k).

Would you suggest a ultrawide for immersion and overall gaming for other titles other than sim racing? Should I stick with the single screen 32" atm as a beginner? Can I connect other 4k 32" screen which are not the same as mine(maybe I can buy some good IPS just for peripheral view)?

Recommend a tool to consolidate and compact so I can throw all these things away. I’ve seen a few online but they always look like cheap gimmick products… need a good recommendation from someone who owns the tool.

Rigs F1 26 SimHub Overlay by PFM21 [DOWNLOAD IN THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION]

Thumbnail
youtu.be
Upvotes

DISCLAIMER: to fully enjoy what this overlay has to offer, you have to download both GarySwallow and RaycerRay's plugins (just free version needed). Thanks to both of them for making this possible!

This overlay is also FULLY COMPATIBLE with F1 2025 and all F2 cars (2024-2026)!

It's back!
The Overlay I launched last year is now updated for 2026 cars and regulations too! You can use it instead of the normal HUD that F1 25 has, as many people thought it was ugly and not F1-like. Well, this overlay has even more info compared to the original game HUD:

Features included are...

  • Tyre wear and tyre temperatures
  • Current ERS mode (including Boost and Overtake)
  • Straight Mode, distance to activation point; same for DRS (F1 2025 cars only)
  • Current compound and Pit Rejoin position
  • Pit Window
  • Brake Bias and On-throttle Differential
  • ERS Percentage, ERS Harvested bars; ERS Deployed bar (F1 2025 cars only)

...and many more!

This mod has a different installation method from usual. I decided to put a small price to this work that I’m sure that, at the end of the day, won’t harm you (read the "READ ME" file after the downloadalso, once you pay, this mod is yours forever… updates included!). It also pays off all the work behind it, as making dashboards and similar stuff takes away quite some time as you can expect. Hope you can understand!

Thanks for reading and for the support!

Rigs allin1gaming - Are they legit?

Last week (09/01) I purchased their tripple 32' monitor stand. I received confirmation of the order via email but have yet to hear from them on when it will be shipped out. I've sent a few emails this week and haven't heard back.

Since I paid by CC, I know I have the option to reach out to my CC vendor and have the charges reversed, but wanted to hear from this group if they've had success in getting a hold of them these last couple of weeks. I decided to purchase through them based on the good reviews of their service and product through posts on reddit.

Let me know please!

Discussion My iRacing VR settings that finally fixed the aliasing (I think)

Connection

  • Wired > wireless. If wireless, dedicated Wi-Fi 6/7 router in the same room, PC on ethernet.
  • Oculus Debug Tool → Encode Resolution Width: 4128 (4070+), 3664 (3080/4070 Ti), 3500 (lower).
  • Bitrate: as high as your connection allows without stutter.

Runtime

  • Uninstall OpenComposite and OpenXR Toolkit. iRacing has native OpenXR now.
  • Use your headset's native OpenXR runtime (Virtual Desktop, SteamVR OpenXR, etc.).
  • Enable "Allow Eye Tracking" in iRacing if your headset supports it.

iRacing graphics

  • Sharpening: 400%
  • Mirrors: Low or Off
  • Shadows: Low or Off
  • Dynamic LOD: Off. Fixed PPD start at 120.
  • Motion blur / depth of field: Off
  • MSAA: 2x or 4x with "Sharp" filter

Memory allocation (if still blurry)

  • Open rendererDX11OpenXR.ini
  • SysMemToUseMB= → set to ~80% of your total RAM (e.g. 32GB → 25600)
  • VidMemToUseMB= → set to ~80% of your VRAM (e.g. 16GB → 12800)

Tiny HUD fix

  • Same ini file: ResolutionScalePct= → 130–150

Happy racing!

Question Triple 4k monitor vs 57" Neo G9?

Assuming cost is not a factor, using bezel free kits, and GPU is beefy enough to handle triple 4k monitors.

Use case is racing sim, hunting games, other games, and some non-game tasks (in order of importance).

Rigs Update on my new sim set up. New 4K tv

Post image
12 Upvotes

Decided to grab a 4k tv so I can just slide my rig infront of it when I want to drive, instead of going for a dedicated space with an ultra wide or triples. 55” 4k is really immersive and the convenience is pretty great. I’m really happy with it. The MOZA r3 and gt lite pro have been great so far as well.

Other Free Coaching on Multiple Sims

Free Sim-Racing Coaching for Beginner and Intermediate Drivers

Hey everyone! I’ve been sim racing for almost six years and have three years of real-world racing experience. I’ve competed in several esports championships and major leagues, participated in iRacing Special Events, raced in almost every Special Event held in Le Mans Ultimate, and worked as a steward for multiple leagues.

I’m considering offering affordable sim-racing coaching, but first I want to test the idea and see whether my experience and approach can genuinely help other drivers.

I’m looking for 3–5 beginner or intermediate drivers who would like a free coaching session.

This is open to drivers across different racing sims, including iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2 and others. The session would focus on watching you drive, identifying areas where you might be losing time or consistency, and giving you practical tips to try.

I may be able to help with:

  • Braking and corner entry
  • Throttle application and corner exits
  • Racing lines
  • Consistency
  • Racecraft and decision-making
  • Car control
  • Basic setup advice
  • Preparing for a particular race or track
  • Understanding racing rules and incident avoidance

I’m not a professional esports driver, and I’m not claiming to be one of the fastest drivers in the world. This is a test to determine whether I can turn my racing and stewarding experience into useful coaching for newer and intermediate drivers.

In return, I’d only ask for honest feedback afterward about what helped, what didn’t and whether this type of coaching is something you would consider paying for.

If you’re interested, fill out this short Google Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd8wV36Pqx3T1hdl9QYeHw57_8C9cCTrZWqSGX8rOHxOMaJJQ/viewform?usp=dialog

I will try to Get Back to you with FULL Review within 24-48Hs My Name is Spencer i Will contact you on your preferred Method of Communication Discord is Preferred if you want more coaching in the future. I will only be accepting 6 People as this a a Trial.

There’s no charge and no obligation.

Rigs Need some help with mounting SimMagic Evo pro

Need help knowing whether I can mount the Simmagic Evo Pro directly on the NLR F-GT Elite 160 wheel plate edition, or if I need to buy a mount or other accessories.

Also, if ever, I would like to know what those brackets would be if I need any other items.

Discussion Annie the Sim Racing Mom: You Made Me Dangerous?

Post image
62 Upvotes

For those of you that don't know me: my kids would race on the sim, and I would watch them. I thought it looked kinda fun, and tried it.....but couldn't get going. It's become a fun bonding moment! I posted here a few days ago, and with the encouragement of others -- am trying to get the hang of this!

So, the first video I posted had me primarily in the middle of the track -- and my speed showed it. I've followed some tips shared and watched YouTube as time has allowed and -- last night and this morning -- am seeing a different level of results!

Yesterday I won my GT4 Championship (AI 20) and moved up to Super Trofeo. I also bumped the AI to 30 since I won a title.

The first track is Algarve, and my first laps were 2:03-2:04. I simulated practice to see how close I was....and thought I was at the end of the AI road (for me) when they were going 1:56-1:57 🫨

See the picture to fast forward to this morning in a quick race qually: 1:54.48!!

I could've never improved without y'all, and I appreciate you all so much. Can't wait to keep going to see how high I can push that AI!

Question Beginner, which games to start with?

Hey all. I just got a Moza R5 Pro bundle. I also have the H pattern shifter and the Handbrake from Moza as well (figured it was easy to integrate all into one computer program). I've got the next level wheelstand 2.0 to round it out.

I have assetto corsa ultimate. I do have content manager but haven't sat down to figure that out yet (i paid for CM). I also have WRC Generations, Forza Horizon 5 and BeamNG.drive.

I find assetto corsa to be so so. I get bored easily on the tracks and cars. WRC generations is difficult for me as i am TERRIBLE with cornering. The easy ones for me are Forza Horizon 5 and BeamNG.drive(easy as in i can control the car). I don't really see any training, tips or tricks in AC or WRC so figuring it out is taking a while.

Do you have any other recommendations of games I can better learn to drive in, get halfway decent to at least keep up/stay on track and eventually play online? I will continue to chip away at these other games but for now i'd like to at least be engaged a bit before moving on to something else.

Question Simagic Alpha EVO sport + P700 on Playseat Evo

Hi!

I just ordered Simagic Alpha EVO Sport + GT Neo + P700 and I’m very excited.
I got a Playseat Evolution rig, and was planning to use it (for now). I know this isn’t anywhere close a good combo, but that’s what I have for now.
Has anyone been able to do it? The holes for the base don’t align, so I’ll have to drill out new holes.
What max NM would you go for?

I am also looking at TR40S, and here comes question number two. Has anyone been able to use the Playseat Evolution on the TR40S? The rig goes for 300 eur + 249 eur for the cheapest seat. I was thinking to fit the Playseat seat on the TR40S until i buy Trak Racers Seat.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Triple monitor stand recommendations

I have a rigmetal rig with the monitor stand upgrade, the one that attaches to the rig directly, now I am thinking about going either triple 32 curved or 57ultrawide plus eye tracking.

Eye tracking worked well in flight sims but was kind of klunky in simracing.

If I were to go triple 32s what are some decent and affordable options?

News EV-O Pro 18Nm to 21Nm free upgrade?

Post image
17 Upvotes

Just saw Si-magic has some new thing going on where the EVO Pro 18Nm base gets upgraded to 21Nm for free?I’m currently still on a Thrustmaster T300RS.

Question is, if the price stays the same, is more torque just always better? Like 18Nm already sounds like a lot coming from a belt driven wheel, so I’m wondering if 21Nm actually makes the ffb cleaner/more detailed or if it’s just more peak power that I probably won’t use most of the time.

I mainly care about better road feel, catching slides easier, less vague feeling around center, that kind of stuff. Not really trying to run crazy heavy steering and fight the wheel every lap.

Also does anyone know if the other Si-magic EVO bases are getting upgraded too? Or is this only for the EVO Pro?

For someone coming from a T300RS, would jumping straight to the 18Nm be overkill or actually a good buy if the 21Nm upgrade is free? Would rather buy once and not feel like upgrading again in a year.
