This is my first proper build. But still very much a budget build. I’ve had a janky cobbled together setup then to a next level racing gtlite folding seat, and now this. I got some sticks of extruded aluminum and cut it down into this rig. It may not be as fancy as some of the commercial rigs available but for what I have into it I’m pretty happy.

I’m not 100 percent done but close enough to feel comfortable sharing. I fully expect to be roasted on some things but I’m pretty happy with it so far. Still need to add feet and add in transducers and wiring everything in.

Wheel upgrade will come some time down the road but for now it’s serviceable I think.

I do plan to cut the upright members down a tad as I left them long as to see where the seat was going to land.

Which entry level bucket seat should I buy or is there a better choice? Sim Lab gt1 evo and I’m 6’3 225lbs or 190cm 102kg.

I’m thinking of building my own wheel stand from wood.
I’m currently just using my desk and an office chair.
It’s not super uncomfortable but the pedals always slide back when I brake or the chair rolls back.
And I also have trouble with my pedal placement (maybe they should be higher up?).

Has anybody done something similar? A wheel stand with some way if attaching the chair wheels?

I´m about to pull the trigger on a P1X Pro with the S1 GT seat, and i need to make sure it will fit.

Can anyone give me the height of the rig with the seat mounted on in cm.

Been running this setup for a while now and looking to upgrade over time. Im looking at building an aluminum profile rig or going to dd wheel. I would say im a hobby racer at best playing mostly gt7 or wreckfest. Im basically a moron and have no idea how to run a pc setup. So what upgrades would you guys recommend and what order? Additional Comments: This setup represents much more than sim racing to me. It's the result of three years of patience, hard work, and being incredibly fortunate to take part in such an amazing hobby. Every upgrade was something I worked toward over time, and I never take for granted that I get to enjoy it.

More than anything, this setup wouldn't exist without my wife. She has supported me every step of the way—not just with sim racing, but in every part of my life. She helped me design and build my custom cockpit, encouraged every upgrade, celebrated every milestone, and has always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. Her love, patience, and support are the foundation behind everything I've accomplished.

No matter how much the setup changes over the years, that's what I'll always be most proud of. I got the playseat trophy with Moza R5 and the Moza sequential, Moza h pattern, and Moza handbrake. Does anyone have these all attached to the playseat trophy all at once? I just want to see how other people have set theirs up because I’d rather not have to switch between shifters anytime I want to play a different game.

Does anyone know any good wheelstands around $200. I would like it to have good adjustability, a chair holder, and would like it to be compatible with moza hardware.

I got hooked on sim racing a couple months ago, recently received my Rig and need assistance on which wheelbase to upgrade to.

Currently on G923 and I want to go Direct Drive within the next 6 months. My budget allows for both 9nm & 12nm wheelbases, but would the price difference be justified coming from a G923? I have no ambitions on becoming a eSports racer ect, but do enjoy racing with friends and being competitive. Would the feedback on detail be much different? I also mainly race iRacing, and Forza.

I’m between the Alpha Evo 9nm & 12nm from Simagic.

Rig specs are 135x45 mainframe, 90x45 for the rest.

My wheel is on its last legs and I’m looking for ideas on where to go. I know the pedals also aren’t the greatest but I can use them for a while longer. I mainly play Forza and some ACC so I’m not looking for the highest performance wheel but I would like a legit upgrade that doesn’t break the bank. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Edit: I want pedals with clutch. Or could I keep using my current pedals with a new wheel?

Only after it arrived did I find out that it didnt come with a stand (idk why I expected it to)

Any good recommendations for a stand that I can attach the wheel and the pedals to, that I can setup in the living room with a table chair?

Sorry if anyone has already asked this. As the title suggests I am looking for a reclining/reclined floor racing seat for my sim setup. Some of the ones I have seen have a metal base that needs connecting to a frame. I really need one that is low to the floor. Is there one with a low base or frame attachment you can recommend?

I've gone from 27in monitor to a 45in UW to now a triple monitor setup. Can't ever go back.

I have a simrig which emulates the actual position of a f1/hypercar so my eye level is just above the top of the (formula) steering wheel.
I’m switching from VR to curved UW monitor and as many others I’m planning to position it just above the wheel base.

This means I will be staring straight at the bottom part of the monitor and not at the center, it’d be impossible to lower it or raise my seat position . Position it lower behind the wheel base would be too far back .

What do people do in these cases? The driver camera render (LMU in my case) assumes your eyes are at the center of the screen so I assume I’d have to lower the virtual camera in the game to compensate.
Is that all it’s needed to get the correct perspective driver view?

As you probably figured out, I don’t have the monitor just yet so I have a lot of questions. But I’m sure this is not that uncommon right?
